Onyx looks around the palace for her mother, Queen Diamond said she going to look for Emma and would be back in a moment but she hadn't return

"Mother? Mother! Ugh for the love of gem!" Onyx rolls her eyes with annoyed grunt walking down the hallway, she turns the corner to see Carnelia standing in front of her like a solider waiting for her "Carnelia this better be important I'm in the middle of something urgent."

"Oh it is my queen while doing some investigating and asking around I may how found who was responsible for dismembering your 'project'."

"'May have?' That is not go enough."

"It's the closest thing I have to achieving your goal your majesty."

"Ugh fine what do you find?"

"A pink cloth from a dress made out of satin silk and while asking around I've come to a conclusion that it was the princess you're niece Emerald."

Onyx eyes looked like they were about to pop out of her head from the shock and confusion,

Emma?

There was no way she was with Onyx the whole time no way she did it! It was impossible!

"No that can not be the case Emerald with me the whole time there is no possible way she could have done it." Onyx shakes her head, Carnelia raises an eyebrow at her "With all due respect my queen the evidence is pointing towards her-'

"Are you doubting my judgement?" Onyx raises an eyebrow at her in warning but Carnelia doesn't even flinches glaring at the queen standing her ground "Yes I am all the evidence points to princess Emerald I did my job for you and given you a result but you are too stubborn to see the truth right in front of you."

Onyx gives her a look before smiling a bit at her taking the pink cloth out of hands "Well Carnelia thank you for bringing this to my attention I will take care of this at once." Onyx turns her back walking away, Carnelia smiles nodding thinking she got though to Onyx

Boy was she wrong

"Guards!" Onyx looks over at two royal guards standing at their post looking at Carnelia with a cold evil eye gesturing to her "Take this gem to the dungeon she will be charged with treason and use of illegal magic." Carnelia eyes widen as the mind controlled guards grab her by wrist, she struggles to get out of their tight grip but failed "You evil witch! You hypocrite! You will not get away with this!"

"I don't know what you speak but keep in mind after my niece's beautiful coronation we will be having another special event: you're execution." Onyx smirks an evil smile walking away ignoring Carnelia's protest from the guards as they drag her away to cold dark dungeon below the palace where no one can hear her.

"Alright so that is who is left who punched their time card late around the time of the queens attack." Pearl puts a thumbtack on a clipboard of pictures of employees who had worked the tragic day, Obsidian rubs her hand on her chin squinting her eye focusing on the pictures.

"Hmm let's see here.. Quartz Geminan."

"Was finishing up on clothes in the Landry room."

"Okay Garnet Stonewell?"

"Was prepping food in the royal kitchen which on the other side of the palace."

"Peridot Jelewerdon?!" Onyx growls getting annoyed, Pearl looks down at the list and her eyes grow wide looking at Obsidian "She doesn't have a time punch until 3am 20 minutes after the guards got a report that the queen was injured in the temple." Obsidian looks at Pearl in shock before looking down like she was thinking for a moment before reaching her hand out for the file "Pearl let me see that file."

Pearl hands it to her as Obsidian looks at a picture of a young woman with silver hair and a gem on the side of her cheek "I...I know her."

"You do?"

"She was Princess Amethyst's personal servant she actually trained me when I first become Queen Onyx's servant, even after the princess ran away she was still around to help the queen during hard times,  but she normally didn't work late nights in the palace because at the time her children were very young so she had to get home to them but after the queen went into a coma she admittedly stopped working in the palace." Obsidian observed the information on the paper.

"So why would she stay after hours?" Pearl raises an eyebrow

"That's a very good question."

Jade and Jasper wait outside the closed off temple for Emma anxiously afraid someone was going to come around the corner and see them standing around the hidden temple.

Finally what felt like forever Emma teleports in front of them startling Jade who puts a hand o we her heart breathing a sigh of relief "Oh thank the stars."

"Everything okay what did you see?" Jasper looks down at Emma who doesn't say a word, she just stares off into space with a pale face and wide eyes as if she's seen a ghost

Jade knees down to her level gently putting her hands on the little girls shoulders in comfort "Emma.. what did you see in there?"

Emma turns her head slightly to look at her, slowly raising her hand as if to ask for permission. Jade looks skeptical at first but hands Emma her wrist to take. Emma grabs Jades wrist in her hands and closes her hands, a gem symbol appears on Emma's forehead while Jades gem on her stomach glows both girls quickly open their eyes that are glowing white

"So Cool!" Jasper squeals to herself infatuated by the sight of magic use for the first time as Emma and Jade share a vision together.

Emma let's go of Jades hand who covers her mouth in shock "Oh my stars."

"Whatcha see? Whatcha see?! Come on don't leave me hanging here!" Jasper bounces a bit on her heels pouting a bit she wasn't included, Emma grabs her hand and shares the vision with her after which Jasper frowns a bit a little scared "Whoa that is so messed up."

"Yes it is we finally have The Who know we just need to know the why."

Sweat rolls down Queen Diamonds face with a hand over her heart she couldn't believe it

She had just used magic!

Something she stood against for years that dammed thing that killed my beloved husband something that once had corrupted her people eons ago. She stands up dusting herself off of the floor

Luckily no one else was in the room to see her do it

She puts a  hand on the door but something stops her a feeling down in her stomach, she never used magic she against it! But... this the closest she's been to interacting with Amethyst since she ran away and never came back.

She didn't want to but wonder over clouded her judgement and she opens the book to the saved page sitting down on the bed.

Suddenly her eyes glow white

A eighteen year old Amethyst lays on the balcony

Queen Diamond walks towards her daughter not having seen her daughter in so long. She looks a little closer seeing she was leaning over the balcony her arms crossed as she Laid  her head in it

She was sobbing.

Queen Diamond crotches down, sitting beside her

Suddenly the door opened Queen Diamond turned to see a younger Peridot in the doorway.

"Princess?" Peridot looked at the girl concern

Amethyst perks up at the sound of her servant's voice "P-Peridot! I-I didn't hear you come in."

"Princess were you crying?" Peridot walks up to you.

"N-No I-I'm fine." Amethyst wipes her eyes quickly trying to cover it up, but it was too late

"Amethyst." Peridot sits down beside her opposite of Queen Diamond but she didn't see her "I'm your friend you can tell me." She puts a comfort hand on her shoulder

Amethyst sighs deeply

"Today has been really rough." Amethyst runs her finger though her hair.

"Was it your mom?" Pearl asked as Amethyst nods her head.

Queen Diamond looked a little offended that they were talking about her behind her back

"I love my mother I really do, but she over control perfectionist"

Amethyst sits on her throne beside her mother, she sighs deeply as she sits bored out of her mind

You'll have to act graceful and ladylike
To keep you pure and clean

Queen Diamond places two book on top of her head as she tries to walk straight with good posture but it's a little difficult for her.

Endless rules apply when you're prepping to be queen

"Wait what!" Peridot looks surprised "I thought Onyx was the first in line for the thrown considering she's the oldest."

"That's normally the case but Onyx is too harsh too unmercifully, so mother is prepping me for the future in case something were to happen to her."

You're first before your subjects
You stay honest and true
There's always some competition
And your not allowed to lose
Your mom's made sacrifices
So make sure your dress is pressed neat and clean
Cause it's do or die when you're prepping to be queen

And you wish there was a world
Where you were simply free to live
And when your sister criticised you
You had no more cares to give
And in this other lifetime
When you tell yourself be brave you won't cave
That's the one thing I truly crave

Amethyst leans her cheek into her fist looking up at the night sky at the beautiful stars wishing to be free of her royal life while the star twinkles in her big purple eye.

But your feelings have to be phony
Your weight has to be tracked
If you don't like punishing people
You'd better learn fast
Have everything perfected it'll be better I can see
Don't ask how or why when you're prepping to be queen.

Improve all of your strong points
And hide things that you lack
Cause mother convinced if you're perfect
Your father will might come back

Amethyst looks down at a bird landing near her hand she picks up her finger while the bird stands on it tweeting happily as Amethyst nuzzles it against her cheek before lifting her finger letting it fly away she looks away sadly from speaking about her late father.

Queen Diamond could feel her heart sink looking at her daughter with guilt, she just wanted her daughter to be prepared for the future and be perfect

She had no idea she was putting so much pressure on her.

Amethyst hugs her arms looking down hoping her long hair would cover her tearful eyes.

"Oh my Amy stone." Queen Diamond puts her hand on her daughters shoulders as did Peridot "I-I'm so sorry."

Amethyst buries her face in Peridot  shoulder who didn't mind at all as she comfort her friend as she silently sobs into her arms

Queen Diamond looks with wide eyes zoning out of the vision with tears running down her face. A knock is heard as a servant walks in before bolting back to see the queen "Princess you're aunt is expecting you- Oh! My queen my apologies I-I didn't know you were in here are..are you okay?" The servant tilts her head to her in concern.

Queen Diamond sniffs a bit cleaning her face up from tears standing dusting herself off walking pass out of the room "Yes I am fine thank you for concern Amber."

"You're welcome?" Amber darts her eyes a bit a little thrown off.

Obsidian and Pearl stand in front of a two store house. Pearl looks at Obsidian unsure while she looks down at the address she had written down "Are you sure this is the right address?"

"Yup this was the last known address on file for her." Obsidian knocks on the door, the door opens a little girl with black hair in high pigtails stands in the doorway blinking her big orange eyes at the two women "Hello little one is your mother here?"

The little girl blinks for a moment before turning her head in the house yelling out "Mommy! There's some strangers at the door!" A woman with brown hair and black glasses walks up to the door leaning against the door raises an eyebrow at Obsidian and Pearl "Can I help you two ladies?"

"Are you Peridot Jelewerdon?"

"Yes what is this about."

"Yes Ma'am we are royal acquaintances of the palace we are doing an investigation and we wanted to ask you a few questions if that's alright." Pearl gives Peridot a smile, Peridot looks wide eyed rubbing the back of her neck where her gem was she bends down to her daughter level giving her a warm smile "Cirtina honey why don't you go play with your sister."

The little girl nods running back in the house Peridot stands up with a scared yet stern face "Look I don't know why you're here but I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." Obsidian blinks her eyes taken back by this

Why was she suddenly so scared?

"Please Miss Peridot we really need you're help."

"Did the queen send you?"

"No of course not."

"This is a test isn't it? Tell her highness I'm not saying anything that I keep my mouth shut!"

"Please-."

"Leave Now!"

Peridot starts to close the door when Obsidian puts her hand on the door and her foot in the door "Ms  Jelewerdon we're doing an investigation of the queens accident you were the personal servant to princess Amethyst. I made a promise to her daughter I would find out what and the only witness that knows what really happened is you." Obsidian gives a desperate look Peridot looks away unsure biting her lip in thought "Ms Peridot.. please."

Peridot darts her eyes looking around to see if anyone was around before finally opening the door gesturing the ladies to come inside

"Please.. Come in.
