The common cold affects most of us at least once maybe twice a year,depending on the weather. Except it seemed for one man Gellert Grindelwald. Gellert never ever got ill,I did so did Queenie,Credence,Soraise,Matthew and Abernathy. He says it is because he is used to the cold weather,well so am I but I still get colds. And Gellert loved to tease me when I get ill and can't really do much
But this time is different.

I woke up alone in bed this morning, as Gellert told me last night he would be up early to do some work. As I make my way back up from the kitchen, I pass by Gellert's office but stop when I hear a sneeze come from inside,I think nothing of it until I hear a bad cough. Concerned I knock on the door
"Come in" I hear my husband say,but he sounded different. I open the door and walk in and close the door behind me.

"Are you alright Gellert?" I ask,there is a quiet 'yes' in replie. I watch him for a few seconds and I know something is wrong with him. I walk over to his desk"Gellert,look at me?"Gellert looks up at me slowly, his eyes aren't as bright as they should be,around his nose is red and he looks sweaty. I  walk around to where he is sat and look down at him
"What's the matter my king? I ask quietly
"Promise not to laugh?" Gellert asks.

"Promise" I say
"...I think I have a cold" Gellert tells me
"Aww Sweety,that's awful" I say,I lean down and kiss his forehead and it is much hotter than it normally is
"Jeez Gellert, your burning up" I say
"I'm fine"
"Don't give me that nonsense mister."

I feel his head and it is as hot as is his arms,legs,chest and back
"You're a lot warmer than you normally are" I tell him
"So*cough*what" Gellert says,I frown at him
"Your coming with me mister" I say,I gently pull Gellert to his feet and walk with him to the living room.

"Now where is the thermometer?" I say once inside the room
"I don't need it,I'm fine" Gellert says,I look at him
"Sure your fine,tell that to your sweaty face and swaying" I say"Sit down before you fall down"Gellert rolls his eyes but sits on the sofa anyway. I find the thermometer and head over to Gellert"Now open up and keep this there until I say so"Once the right amount of time has passed "And done" I take it back and it says 99.5.

"So what does it say?" Gellert asks
"Normally it should be 98.5 but this says 99.5,you have a temperature" I say,sitting beside him"I know you do not normally,but do as I say"I tell him, Gellert sighs but agrees
"For you,my love"
"I'm putting you on best rest" I say,I help Gellert back to our room,and he changes back into his Pj's
"Now what?"

"Sleep and sweat this cold out of you" I say
"I'm too warm" Gellert protests
"Sorry, but you have to stay here" I tell him
"Fine,will you stay with me?" Gellert asks
"Until you fall asleep" I say,I lay down beside my husband and cuddle into him. It doesn't take long for Gellert to fall asleep and me too.

I wake up several hours later to light knocking on the door. I untangle my self from Gellert's hold and head to the door. I open the door to Queenie
"Sorry to bother you, but where have you been all morning?" Queenie asks
"Gellert is ill,so he is sleeping and I'm keeping him company" I tell her
"Was sleeping"Queenie says,I look back into the room and see Gellert by the bookcase.

"Oi,get back to bed" I say
"I'm bored of sleeping, I need to do something" Gellert says,picking up a book
"Nope,back to bed mister" I say, walking over to the platinum blonde and gently push him back to the bed
"I don't want to sleep" Gellert says stubborn
"And I say you have to" I say.

"No"
"Bed" we glare at each other,until I say"What do you want?"
"Tea,cookies and you" Gellert says
"Agreed,now bed" I say,I leave with Queenie to get the tea and cookies for my poorly but stubborn husband. After getting what Gellert asked for,I head back to our room and see Gellert still in bed.

"Since you have been a good boy,you can have your treats"I say
"Don't get used to it" Gellert says
"I won't,but I do enjoy bossing you around" I grin,we sit in silence for some time. Once the tea and cookies are done I lay back down with Gellert
"Thank you" I hear him say
"For what?"

"For putting up with my stubbornness and taking care of me" Gellert tells me
"You do it when I am sick" I say
"Yes but I tease you" I say
"I won't this time" I tell him"Now sleep"I lay my head onto Gellert's warm chest and snuggle into him as,he wraps his arms around me as we drift off to sleep.
