"GET BACK HERE YOU IDIOT!!!" I shouted from the bottom of my lungs and chased after the little boy who is the same age as me.

"HAHAHA MAKE ME!" He snickered and ran with all his might.

A low growl could be heard from my throat. A dark aura enveloped my entire body. One of my eyes shined brightly, exactly like a torchlight and I ran as fast as I could, leaving a trace of dust behind me.

"CHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" I dashed in inhuman speed.

Now, let's pause for awhile. How did I end up here?

~FLASHBACK~

My feet slowly step on the muddy ground. It felt soft and sticky, kinda nice, but the stickiness is very annoying. I didn't bother trying to keep my boots clean from the disgusting goo. I get dirtier than this during my training all the time.

I watch the sun set slowly as an orange screen cast over the sky. The places around the sun highlights the orange sky in yellow. Just a mix between the two simple colours manage to formed various shades of orange. The sunset is definitely beautiful, but I dread for it to come because it means night is coming.

The tip of the trees blocked the sun from my view and continued to do so as I step deeper into the woods.

I was deep in my thoughts when I felt a push from my back. My body shoved forward, my face slammed into the moist ground. By the time I start getting up with the tips of my ears red and smoke coming out from them, my attacker already have a head start.

That little piece of shit..!

~FLASHBACK ENDED~

And that was how I end up here with that little piece of shit now in my hands.

"Any last words..?" My voice sounded threatening as a murderous aura burned furiously.

"No." He squeaked and immediately shrunk in size, well not literally, as my grip on him tightened.

My free hand formed a tight fist and immediately connect with my friend's tanned cheeks. The moment I punch him, my grip on him loosened which caused him to fly back and scream.

"DAMN YOU TSUKINOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"Whoops, my fingers slipped." I clapped my hands and dusted it with a satisfied smirk plastered on my face.

That's what you get for messing with me.

"Hohoho she got you again, eh? Daichi." A woman around her forties laughed when she received the news of how her son got beaten up by me.

Daichi sulked while slowly munching on his food.

What a pity.

"Ne, Daichi-kun, don't be so upset. I'm sure you'll land a punch on me one day." I teased.

"How can I punch a girl?! Much less someone I love!!" At the moment, he slapped his mouth shut and his face turned beetroot red.

Daichi's mother whom I call Aunt Mayu laughed.

As for me, I blushed equally red and stared at him, hoping this is just a joke.

"My my, you're finally confessing your feelings, Daichi." Aunt Mayu looked at me and said,"I would be really happy to have you as my daughter-in-law!"

"A-Aunt Mayu!!" I blushed a few shades brighter and covered my face.

"Hohoho"

The entire dinner was very awkward with Aunt Mayu's laugh and both Daichi and I refuse to look at each other.

After we were done, I helped Aunt Mayu to clean the dishes and left to head home. Our house is quite far apart, but I'm used to it because I often visit them. Even when my parents were alive, we were very close due to being originated from the same place. Japan.

I heard footsteps coming behind me and I immediately know it belongs to Daichi's.

"Hey." I spoke first, knowing he did not dare to step any closer. Not because he was afraid that I'll punch across the sand again, but because of his unexpected confession earlier.

"H-Hey.." He jumped in front to walk the same pace as me.

"You are leaving for the Hunters exam tomorrow, right?"

"Yeap."

Awkward silence enveloped us and I could tell he was very worried.

"Don't worry, Daichi-kun. I'll be fine! I was trained since I was young, right?" I grinned and showed a thumbs up.

He gave me a heartwarming smile, yet a sad face and nodded.

"Quit with that face already!" I groaned and pinched his cheeks.

"Hey it hurts!"

"CHA!"

"OW!"
