Dylan Schoenfield was one qualm shy of being fearless, the only thing holding her back? Herself.

Though she was Midtown Science's top girl— first in her class, loved dearly by all the student body, stupidly rich and quite successful already at her age, she was also completely afraid of an early burnout and lacking what it took to really make it. She wanted to be... someone in the world, change it for the better, as cheesy as it sounded.

She had the resources to do just that, went to the best school, took the best classes, but in the end, she had never been able to fully accept herself. She had no reason to be unable to do this, people loved her— well, the made up version of her anyway.

Meanwhile, Peter Parker faced a similar dilemma, though his focused around his extra curricular activities list. As in, he was one shy of a concerned phone call home to Aunt May because the principal believed he needed to interact more with his fellow classmates. Be involved, be bold.

Like it was so easy.

He was, he claimed, for the Decathlon team surely proved it? And he took pictures of all the other after school groups, knew every single student involved in them. But that doesn't mean they know you. It was stupid, Ned agreed, but the rest of his teachers did not and so he found himself facing two deadlines. One: find a subject for his entry into the annual film festival, and two... find a way to "be more involved". His best friend came up to an answer for both, but it came in the frightening form of uncovering the truth behind their school's queen bee.

     Which, long story short, was how he found himself doing what he did best up to now, also known as holding the camera. Peter Parker would shoot his documentary on the Dylan Schoenfield, tricking Principal Morita into thinking he'd made more friends in being around the most popular girl and (hopefully) gathering enough footage for a decent proposal for his movie, it was all he wanted, along with hopefully being able to stop a little crime, figure out how to ask out Liz to Homecoming, and help the Decathlon team bring home another trophy for their hallway display.

     All Dylan wanted was to win the title of Homecoming queen, as if she had anything left to prove, he'd thought, but his film could help promote her campaign and so she was in. He hadn't expected for everything to come crashing down on him, but apparently his life was a movie too, one he hoped at least fell into the comedy genre as only then could someone like Michelle Jones get a kick out of all his misery. But more seriously now, this opening scene, getting long, right?

Peter couldn't risk surpassing the ideal length of his film and be rejected for it, but he would finish with this: though the instructions of high school were often unclear, one thing never was, popularity and geeks? Do not mix... however that didn't mean that one couldn't help the other achieve their respective means first.

And now onto the movie...
