Where you lay

It's sweet where you lay,
With grass so green and roses spread on you
Like the thousand stars around the milky way
That shone so soft when the wind woke and blew.

It's sweet where you lay,
On a bed of white and silver moonlit clay,
Be white the stone and be so the bone,
It looks like snow and spreads a ghostly glow.

It's sweet where you lay,
I hear your voice in every letter of your name,
The silence is so full of everything you'd say,
A stolen piece of art, a pretty empty frame.

It's sweet where you lay,
So sad the way the stone turns grey and blue,
But sweet in its own way,
Because someday I'll be laying there near you.
