Chapter 67: Last Chance

"YOU KILLED HIM! YOU KILLED HIM, YOU MONSTER!" Hoseok suddenly screamed and continued to kick while Taehyung continued to hold him back. By now, tears fled from Hoseok's eyes at the sight of Jungkook's motionless body before him. "L-LET ME GO!"

"Let him go, Taehyung," demanded the creator.

In that grim moment, Hoseok was released and his body fell forward until he crawled to where Jungkook remained. Only then he began to cling onto him and cry. Never really knowing how much he loved this creation until he was forced to watch him have his wire cut just before his very eyes.

"You killed him... you killed him!" Hoseok continued to mutter and softly caress the locks of Jungkook's hair. The mere sight of him lying motionless on the ground and not acknowledging his presence, was horrifying enough. Normally, Jungkook would have slapped his hand away and begin to threaten him, but now, nothing was done. Jungkook laid there and his silence was what killed Hoseok.

"Don't be ridiculous, I didn't kill him," Seokjin mentioned as he walked forward and crouched down to the level of Hoseok's eyes.

       "Yes you did..."

"No, we only use that term if a living thing is killed. Jungkook is not a living thing, Hoseok. The word you are looking for is 'deactivated' him. That's what I did."

"Why... Why did you do this? Can't you see that he's an android worth saving?! Having him deactivated and soon turned into scraps is a stupid idea! Why can't you see how important he is?"

"Wow, a change of heart... anyway, Yoongi, come help me take Jungkook to that room over there. Let's get this over with," Seokjin went on as Yoongi didn't say another word before walking forward. On the other hand, Hoseok refused and blocked the way for him to reach the android.

"Seokjin, stop it! Make Yoongi stop, I can show you how different Jungkook could be! You can go through his memories and see the way he treats that boy... that boy, Park Jimin! P-Please! Listen to me... why aren't you listening to me?" Hoseok cried. But no matter what he did, Seokjin was too determined to even stop himself.

"Because all I've ever done was listen to you back then... and look at where it led us to... it led us to this and I refuse to let history repeat itself.... Jung Hoseok, do not interfere with my work anymore," Seokjin hissed and snapped his fingers. "Taehyung, don't let him go until I say so!"

"What?! Seokjin, please!" Cried the man before Taehyung made his way toward the human. Just then, Taehyung grabbed Hoseok once more and held him back to watch as they took Jungkook away. Only now, Hoseok was stunned and no longer wanted to beg. He had to think of a way out of this now.

Hoseok had to be held back once again as Seokjin carried on with his plan. Nothing in this world hurt more than the pain Hoseok was being put under. He truly loved Jungkook deep down, but he only wished he would have treated the android right. If he treated him right back then, would Jungkook's run be so much different now? No matter how hard Hoseok cried and begged, Seokjin was so sure of getting rid of Jungkook all because he knew that this world would never accept him the way Hoseok would see him. Jungkook would always be an unpredictable android, embodying the flaws of human beings so well, that it didn't help his case in the long run. He was fixable, but Seokjin wasn't bought on the idea in order to invest the time to do so.

Just then, Hoseok stopped and began to think. If he knew Seokjin wasn't going to listen to him, the best thing he could do was at least show Seokjin the good things and only the good things Jungkook has done. Hoseok knew that if he brought in Jimin, showed Jungkook's journal entries, and allowed Seokjin to go through the creation's memories, he would see everything that could become so real with just an android like him.

"Taehyung... Taehyung..." Hoseok whispered as he watched Seokjin walk into the room down the hall with Yoongi carrying Jungkook there. "Taehyung, I want to ask something of you..." begged the man as his head pointed upwards to look Taehyung in those beautiful blue eyes. The second their eyes locked, Taehyung could outline all the pain Hoseok was feeling from just a glance. He didn't feel comfortable doing this to a human who only wanted to protect a creation that he loved. Yet, the way Jungkook behaved made Taehyung hold on longer because he valued the safety of the living more.

"What is it?" Asked the android as he continued to look into his eyes.

"I need you... to call Jimin, please! Call him here, you need to!"

"Jimin doesn't need to see this."

"Please, Taehyung, you have to... you have to! What will happen if Jimin wakes up tomorrow and sees that his android is no more? That would kill him... you should know this by now, right? Call him over..."

"I highly doubt making him come here to watch his android get demolished is the last thing he needs to see... I want to help... I really do, but Seokjin demanded that I hold you down. I know how much Jungkook has changed but at the end of the day, Seokjin will not overlook it! I want to believe Jungkook wouldn't be a threat but even if there's a chance where he is seen differently with Jimin, who is there to tell if he wouldn't behave well with anyone else? He... he has harmed you before..."

"Taehyung, please! You can't go back and forth with me now, this is important! If we can convince Seokjin with Jimin, the journal entries and the memories, even Seokjin will see the potential I see in Jungkook. This isn't over and it's not going to end here! Please... call Jimin. I demand you to call Park Jimin, now!"

Taehyung couldn't deny this anymore, he held onto Hoseok with one hand, never being able to cancel out his creator's demand as he raised his index finger up to his ear and his pinky to the base of his lips. Mimicking a telephone with his hands to call Jimin now. As he waited, Hoseok began to think of quick ways to escape Taehyung's arms. But even then, he knew this android would never let go if he was under a demand from his creator.

At the same time, Jimin was already at the club, sitting at the bar and looking down at the full glass he had yet to drink. He sat next to Namjoon, listening to the man talk about many things while the anxious man trembled a little to himself. Still finding it so much harder to adjust to being out in public compared to before, has staying with Jungkook locked in his house caused all of this? Jimin was well outside a little more before, but now, he was petrified and desperately looked around hoping to be near Jungkook once again. Yet, this wasn't his anxiety talking, this was the fear he had growing inside when it came to leaving Jungkook especially after telling him he loved him.

"I'm fine... I'm fine... I'm fine! I don't need to cling onto Jungkook, going out is fine and everything is fine!" Jimin whispered to himself while Namjoon noticed Jimin whispering, yet he couldn't make out the whispers because of the loud music blaring in the background and the flashing neon lights.

"Hey... if you just want to go to a bar without the club, then it's fine we can go there right now," Namjoon said to Jimin, making sure he was loud enough to be heard.

"No! No, it's fine! I just... I just feel like something is wrong!" Jimin went on and watched as Namjoon tilted his head. "I get this feeling that I... that I have to go back home!"

"Come on, Jimin! We just got here. Why don't you drink a little and then we can leave after thirty minutes, deal?"

       "Uh... I don't know, Namjoon!"

"Come on, you have to get over this. Just thirty minutes, okay?"

        "I could just-"

Suddenly, Jimin was interrupted by his phone vibrating so suddenly. His eyes blew wide and his hand shot into his pocket. Using this as an excuse to step out and run to the bathroom, this alone left Namjoon to become worried as he watched his friend run off. There, he only longed to follow to make sure his friend was safe.

Jimin reached the bathroom where he ran into a stall and answered the phone. Only a few androids were there with some humans, standing around and conversing about anything related to drinks or even plans after clubbing. Once Jimin held his phone up, he read the caller ID and answered the second his mind processed that it was Taehyung calling. He just never knew how relieved he was to know Taehyung was on the line.

"Taehyung! How have you been? I-It's been a while and-"

"Jimin," Taehyung said into a soft whisper that only left the anxious man to remain silent within the bathroom stall. "Jimin, where are you?

"I... I'm at a club with Namjoon," Jimin mentioned and just at that moment, Namjoon walked into the bathroom just to be sure Jimin was alright. He was concerned about the boy now that he couldn't help but to leave him alone in a place like this. He knew how shy Jimin could become and only hoped to make sure he was comfortable.

      "Are you far from home?"

"Not too far. Why are you asking me this?"

"Jimin, I need you to get over here. You need to come to Jungkook's house right now..." Taehyung continued in a soft whisper. The overall volume of his low whisper and serious tone left Jimin's heart to jump out of his chest at that very second. Many things came to mind, but he only wished he could have formed the right sentences to ask if everything was alright. He couldn't focus and instantly began to fear the worst.

"JIMIN, HURRY!" Hoseok shouted into the call. Right there, Jimin began to tear up.

"What's happening? Is it... is it about Jungkook?"

"YES, YOU HAVE TO HURRY!" Cried Hoseok and just then, Taehyung abruptly hung up the call and quickly looked down at the human he was holding in his arms.

"Shh! You can't be too loud. Yoongi might know what we're up to! Who knows if they will take me apart for helping you out?" Taehyung hissed as Hoseok was still trying to find a way to free himself. "You'll hurt yourself... please don't do that..."

"Ah... I want to get in that room! Jimin might take forever to get here!" Hoseok muttered and looked down the hall while Taehyung held him back. "I can't demand you to let me go... no matter what, Seokjin's demands will always be more important than mine!"

"I'm sorry, Hoseok..." Taehyung went on and continued to look down at the top of Hoseok's head. "I wish I can let go... but I am programmed to behave and respect Seokjin's demand. You will have to wait for Park Jimin."

"WHAT IF WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME?" Hoseok shouted and became so worried, his breathing became heavy. "What if he's already in there... taking him apart?"

"If anything, Hoseok... it will take a while for him to do so, especially on his own. You know this by now, relax and try to think straight," Taehyung whispered. Soothing every worry Hoseok had as his eyes latched onto the clock hanging on the cold wall up ahead. Counting every second to the minute there was and hoping to hear Jimin kick down the door in order to save his lover in the next minute to this deadly hour.

"Please, Jimin... hurry... you are the last chance we have... the last chance Jungkook has!" the man whispered to himself and closed his eyes. Trying to ease every thought that went wild in his head at that very moment as he tried to ease the rapid beating of his breaking heart to the one he only regretted not loving entirely when it was due.
