Chapter 65: At the End of it All

Once his phone began to ring and break up the silence they shared, Jimin pulled back from the kiss and looked over at the counter where his phone continued to ring.

"Oh... that must be Namjoon," Jimin whispered. Still feeling Jungkook's hands tug his waist gently just to sneak in a few more kisses from him. "Don't forget what I said, okay, Jungkook?"

"I know, I know, I'll take down everything I used to observe you with," The android confirmed and watched as Jimin made a big smile. "My love, go answer the phone, you can't stay here forever."

"Right..." Jimin replied and gave his lover another kiss before walking away from him and picking his phone into his hands. As he stood there and looked at the caller ID, recognizing that it was Namjoon calling, he was finally here to pick Jimin up.

Jimin had rather hoped he was ready for this, but of course, he didn't feel like he should step out of his own house for the night. He was drawn to his lover and left him questioning if this was just his thoughts tending to overthink again.

"Nothing is going to happen.." Jimin assured himself once again. Before he knew it, he was already out the door, looking forward to notice Namjoon waving to him just within the car. "Nothing is going to happen..." he repeated to himself, "I'm going to live my life tonight, then I will return and everything is going to be fine!"

The second Jimin reached the door handle of the car to the passenger's side, he took one last glance at the house to see Jungkook waving at him before closing the curtains. For some reason, he longed to tear up at the sight of it. He didn't want to fall into the endless belief that he wouldn't keep Jungkook after he confessed how much he truly loved him. It was all in his head for now, and that alone showed how scared Jimin was to repeat history.

Once Jimin got into the car, Namjoon's smile had already faded. The joyous smile, the dimples engraved onto his carefully tanned face, and the light of his eyes were all deprived in that very second. All Jimin could see was that the older man had his gaze locked onto the window where Jungkook stood before the curtains were drawn shut. Nothing but the sound of the warm air blowing through the small vent within the car could be heard until Jimin began to speak.

"Namjoon, are you okay?"

The man took a second longer until he cleared his throat and set his hands onto the steering wheel right after.

"I'm... fine... I think I'm seeing things," Namjoon whispered and looked at the hand that carried a scar within his forearm just hiding under his long sleeved white shirt. "I'm glad we're able to see eachother again, it feels like it's been a while, hm?"

"Yeah... it has," Jimin whispered as he watched Namjoon begin to shake away any thoughts he had to himself before he began to drive.

It was no secret that Namjoon began to wonder. After seeing Jungkook through that window, he couldn't make any sense of it all and just believed he was only seeing things. With that, he couldn't dare to bombard Jimin with many questions about the android that haunted his past. He just didn't think it was the right moment to ask. Jimin on the other hand, knew Namjoon saw Jungkook through that window, yet he too became silent. Remembering his lover's words about it being the best decision to leave Namjoon alone when it came to reminding him of Jungkook's existence.

So, Jimin sat there and had to watch Namjoon believe that he was only seeing things now. It wasn't something he wanted to allow, but it was better than having his good friend relive that traumatic experience he had with Jungkook. Jimin just never knew how much damage an unpredictable android could cause and the evidence to that was sitting right next to him this whole time. Concealing his scar just beneath his shirt as if it was another nightmare he longed to forget.

Once Jimin left, Jungkook took a good look around the room before approaching a family framed picture of the Park family. His blue eyes followed along the picture as it rested onto Jimin's youthful face, that's when Jungkook finally picked up the framed picture into his hands and began to ponder the idea of it. Even before, Jungkook was curious about the way humans can grow from just a young age and be able to create a living human on their own. No need for coding or extra bolts and screws. He never knew how much he would adore the idea of having a family, but he knew it wasn't possible for him to do. So, he carefully brought the framed photo closer until he removed a small speck from the corner.

"Luckily, I remember where I've placed all of these micro cameras," Jungkook said to himself before moving to other various objects within the living space, kitchen and bedroom to remove the rest.

As he did so, the young android could feel the guilt stripping away from him. Nothing had ever felt so rewarding than undoing all the regrets he acted out on before. While removing every little camera, he was redeeming himself little by little and finally becoming the creation he longed to be for his partner.

Minutes turned into an hour and once he was done collecting all of the micro cameras, he slipped them into the pocket of his puffy jacket and approached the front door. He longed to stay within these four walls that radiated comfort, but he knew too well that his energy has only been depleting and very soon, his voice will malfunction and his vision will glitch in and out. He had no other choice but to return back home in order to recharge. But once Jimin came to mind, he was glad to head back and recharge because the sooner he does so, the sooner he gets to see Jimin once again. Time was bound to go faster for him.

Jungkook spent no other second than to step out of the house and lock the door behind him. As he glanced off to the side where his home remained, he couldn't help but to notice that there seemed to be a black luxurious car parked right in front of the house. Jungkook instantly became curious as he examined all the fine details once he slowly approached it. Just then, he looked back at Hoseok's car and back onto the mysterious vehicle before raising a brow.

"Did he buy himself another car?" Jungkook asked as he pulled the car keys to Hoseok's car right out of his pocket and looked back at the unfamiliar vehicle. "He must have bought himself another car..."

Jungkook didn't bother to ask any further questions. His mind was set on returning just to spend the rest of his night charging until the sun rises and Jimin would be back. Of course, he did worry about his lover and how the human would feel being in a place filled with many people. Jeon Jungkook longed to follow and be there for his Jimin, but he wanted to change. Jungkook wanted to be a better creation for his true love and only dared to accept that he couldn't go and return home just to wait to see his human once again.

The second Jungkook stepped into the house, he was greeted to voices whispering within the kitchen as he stepped in and closed the door behind him. He couldn't tell who was just beyond the kitchen area, but he just assumed it could have been Taehyung and Hoseok once again. However, he only wished he was right.

"Jeon Jungkook has arrived..." a deep voice announced the second Jungkook stepped in. Leaving the creation to look around curiously until a pale android stepped into the living space from the kitchen and kept his blue gaze locked onto the one standing by the door. This pale man-made android was none other than Min Yoongi himself, yet, Jungkook had a difficult time trying to figure out who he truly was.

"Who are you?"

"I don't think it will matter to tell you who I am..." Yoongi went on with such a calm tone to his voice. He continued on as he stepped forward to look at Jungkook. Scanning him and verifying that this was indeed the android Seokjin has been talking about for the longest. However, Jungkook just couldn't tell who this creation was, standing before him as if he held all the power in the world to do so.

"Who... are you?" Jungkook asked again as he kept his hand latched onto the door knob before letting go and stepping forward. Wanting to get rid of any signs of fear.

"You can't scan me? You must really have another defect...that's a shame."

In that second, Taehyung stepped out of the kitchen as well and latched his gaze onto Yoongi before looking at Jungkook once more. Just then, whispers resumed within the kitchen as the two androids stood before Jungkook.

"Not you again..." Jungkook hissed under his breath while Taehyung could only dare to look at Yoongi afterwards to address him.

"Leave him alone... you heard Hoseok! He did not want this," Taehyung continued. Leaving Jungkook puzzled all while Yoongi tilted his head and looked over to Taehyung in that very second.

"So you choose to disobey Seokjin's words?"

"Seokjin...?" Jungkook asked, clueless to it all as he looked over at the entrance of the kitchen to see Hoseok step out almost instantly.

"Jungkook, let's get out of here!" Hoseok hissed as he grabbed his jacket that was resting on the couch. "We need to leave, now!"

"Hoseok... don't tell me you're leaving me again for a creation like that," a familiar voice to Jungkook called out from the kitchen. Jungkook could only become curious to see who caused this familiarity to beam from the other room. But only then, Hoseok placed his hand over Jungkook's shoulder and guided his gaze back towards him once again.

"Jungkook, I won't repeat myself, we need to go now!" Hoseok said into a sharp whisper. Beginning to tremble by his fingertips at the situation.

Suddenly, Seokjin stepped out of the kitchen almost instantly after. Making a smile and folding his arms at the sight of Hoseok keeping his shaky hand set over the android he longed to keep. The sight of Kim Seokjin after a long time left Jungkook frozen in place. He knew exactly what this meant and only became afraid that Hoseok dared to turn him in so suddenly. This left Jungkook to desperately try to find the words to say to Hoseok at that very moment.

"You... you sold me out..." the android whispered before tearing his gaze away from Seokjin in order to look at Hoseok with the red hue in his pupils coming into light. "You actually... sold me out this time..."

"Jungkook, no, listen to me! I'll explain when we get out of here," Hoseok spoke into softer whispers as he noticed the keys to his own car was in the grasp of Jungkook's hand. "I'll drive, let's go-"

"You're not going anywhere, Hoseok. You aren't planning on abandoning me over this creation again... right?" Seokjin asked with a sarcastic pout to his plump lips. "Tell him the truth already and stop playing games. You're dragging this out and wasting my time."

"Jungkook, don't listen to anything he says, okay? He's... crazy."

"Crazy? You're hurting my feelings, Hoseok!" Seokjin said into a chuckle as Yoongi slowly approached the front door and stood before it. Blocking them from progressing any further into leaving. "Jungkook, I know you're a smart creation so I'll just assume you know what this means... if you put up a fight, I won't hesitate to make Min Yoongi cut one of your wires..."

"Yoongi...?" Jungkook thought before looking back to see the android blocking the door. By now, he had already recalled Jimin's past lover and was able to finally see the creation up close. With just the smile surfacing on the face of the pale android, Jungkook never knew how jealous he would become in that instance. To know that someone Jimin loved before was standing a few feet away from him, left him to believe that there was going to be a chance where Jimin would return to loving him. This was impossible, but Jungkook of course, was a jealous creation from the start and the sight of Jimin's ex standing before him bothered him completely.

Jungkook couldn't stop thinking of the many times Jimin spoke of this creation and how many times Min Yoongi occupied his lover's mind every night and with that, Jungkook could only imagine them in eachothers arms like before. He didn't know why all of these thoughts began to bombard him now at a time like this, but he just couldn't seem to focus on one thing. His red eyes became vibrant within the dim lighting of the living room and his mind began to spiral.

"You're not going to touch him! Seokjin, we've talked about this! Leave him alone, he's just an android that-"

"Don't give me that talk again! You know this is for the best, Hoseok! You can't change my mind..." continued the older man as he stepped forward until he was standing before Hoseok, intimidating him with the uneasy glare in his daring eyes. "At the end of it all... Jeon Jungkook was never meant to run this long."
