Chapter 49: All That I Am

"It's been a few days already... Where is he?" Hoseok asked himself and began to pace around the living room. "I tried contacting him, tracking him, but I got nothing... where could he have gone?" the human rambled on. Pacing around the room like a crazy man that was seconds away from pulling all of his silk hair out.

By now, the bags under his eyes indicated how restless he has become after staying up and wondering where this android could have gone. He thought of every way to track a creation and unfortunately, he has done it all. He continued to pace around hoping for a new idea to strike him, but nothing happened. He only found himself racing to the window and pulling the curtain apart slightly in hopes of seeing the android standing across the street, on his way to the front door like always, but nothing. All he saw was an android on the phone, standing from afar and staring at the house he lived in.

"What... is he doing?" Hoseok asked himself. Not being able to recognize this pale creation and the odd sense of gaze detection that came along with it, he only pulled himself away from the window and let out a sigh. Beginning to fear what could have happened to the creation. "I need to relax... relax... relax... Taehyung could not have gone to the department! He's too smart to go against my own words..." Hoseok went on, rambling to himself in order to silence his worries. "He wouldn't do that... it's just a random android standing outside and it's not one of Seokjin's androids here to find me! Nothing's wrong... everything's okay!"

Hoseok went on and on, wondering, fearing, and fighting back every thought in his head when it came to getting caught. In his heart, he knew Taehyung wouldn't go to Seokjin and expose him, but the more he thought of it, the more he began to doubt it entirely.

"He could have... he could have done it and now, Seokjin will find me and-"

"What are you going on about?" Jungkook asked as he stepped out from his room. Latching his uneasy glare onto the human standing within the living room, tempted to look out the window to see the pale android once again but was distracted by the creation behind him. "Having issues with your little android?"

"What? No... that's not it..." Hoseok replied and tried his best not to think back at the moment Jungkook nearly choked him to death. With just the memory of it, the hairs on the back of his neck began to stand and his eyes averted looking at the android that stood far behind him. No matter what, he could never forget that moment Jungkook pinned him to the ground, applying pressure over his neck and looking at him through his tears saying 'you don't love me', that had to be the hardest pill Hoseok had to swallow, yet they went on about their day after that. Avoiding each other and shutting eachother out until now.

After replying to the android, the atmosphere within the room thickened and nothing else came out of his quivering lips. He only hoped Jungkook wouldn't shove a knife to his throat and leave him in the comfort of his own home to die alone. These thoughts concerned Hoseok, but it took a while for the human to understand that Jungkook had a reason to behave this way and it was all his fault. The upbringing of the android was beyond the creation's control and it was his creators fault for poisoning his mind so early that he became irreversible.

There Hoseok stood. Not finding any words to say as Jungkook stood there, watching him breathe and slightly shiver from the chills he sent running down his spine. Before, Hoseok didn't fear Jungkook like this because he didn't think the android was capable, but now, he knew what the android could do and he remained there, fearing for his life every second the unpredictable creation stood within the same room.

"I know an issue when I see one. Of course, I am an issue myself so I can tell..." Jungkook went on and stepped forward, tucking the bottom of his black turtleneck shirt into the black dress pants that hugged his hips perfectly. No matter what, he always kept the intimidating look he emitted in order to be seen as someone above an android and a human combined especially around Hoseok; someone he barely trusted.

"Jungkook..."

"If the android you're talking about is such an issue to you, you can always turn him in and have him fixed into a perfect creation," Jungkook stated. Only standing a few feet away from Hoseok now, but the human of course couldn't turn his body to face the android. "Since you're so good at that, why don't you do so? Or maybe, get rid of his imperfections to make him good enough... you're wasting your time doubting yourself."

"That's enough, Jungkook..." Hoseok dared to whisper as he slowly turned to face him. Only becoming paranoid if he continued to keep his body turned away from him. "You... shouldn't speak that way..."

"Oh, Hoseok...." Jungkook whispered as he stepped close enough to the human until he raised his hand up to caress the side of the scared man's face. Just underneath Jungkook's palm, the creation could tell how badly Hoseok wanted to jump back out of the trembling he tried so hard to hide, but the android was well equipped to tell if Hoseok was scared or not and in reality, he was. "Who's going to stop me?"

"Jungkook, I-"

"Jungkook, hm? I thought you would at least call me your little android like you do to all the others... but I guess I'm too much of a burden to be called that cute and perfect word suited for only the best. I...I thought you loved me..." Jungkook whispered as his dark blue gaze deepened over the human's brown quivering stare.

"I can call you that if you want, Jungkook, I just wanted to-"

"Don't say another word..." Jungkook interrupted again. The second he chose to pull away, he softly patted the side of Hoseok's face before pulling his hand back and making a fake smile. "I don't want you to call me that because I insisted on it. Remember, I can still hurt you...all because you made me this way... I'm still your creation."

With that, Hoseok was holding his breath the second Jungkook told him those words. He watched the android step up to the door until he placed on his boots and left through the door. Leaving the human in silence as he stood there and thought back at it all. Only now, the guilt continued to consume him after all those years he spent trying to perfect a creation that didn't need it in the first place. He was perfect just the way he was in the beginning until Hoseok poisoned his mind with everything. In a way, Hoseok noticed that history was beginning to repeat itself when it came to Taehyung. The updates he gave the creation were what led to the android disappearing and Hoseok could only fear what the department could be doing to him. Jungkook knew not to kill him only because he was very guilty of his actions and that alone was a suitable pain for the man in Jungkook's mind.

The second Jungkook stepped out, he took a good look around, recalling Hoseok's words, yet, he couldn't find a soul nor a creation within the neighborhood. Jungkook only assumed that the human was becoming paranoid so he walked towards Jimin's home. No longer wanting to dwell on Hoseok and the way he sculpted him into this figure from the very start.

By the time Jungkook stood outside in the snow, knocking on Jimin's door and taking a quick look around, the door eventually pulled ajar and there stood his partner. The one that could actually silence all his thoughts with just a smile. Jungkook adored the human and the energy he was able to emit, that only left the android to blush and the sight of him and wonder if he could do the same too. Of course, he couldn't help himself from becoming a little envious of his partner at that very moment. To emit such a loving energy and turn the world right side up, was something Jungkook longed to do effortlessly like Jimin.

"Jungkook, I'm so happy to see you!" Jimin said with a giggle as he jumped into the Android's arms happily. Something was new about Jimin. As if he didn't dwell on pain like before, he seemed as if he was fully allowed to love again after facing the confrontation he needed and Jungkook began to notice the difference.

"Ah, My Jimin... it's too cold to jump into my arms outside," Jungkook said into a laugh as he walked in and closed the door behind him. Even then, his arms never pushed the human away and only held him closer as he walked in. "Missed me already?"

"You know I did~" Jimin went on and finally pulled his face away from the Android's chest. "Jungkook, something amazing just happened to me..."

"What is it?" Jungkook asked curiously, looking at his partner with his vibrant pink gaze. As he did so, he watched Jimin approach a curtain from a window and pull it apart. Longing to finally let the light of the outside shine in after many weeks of shutting it out.

"Today... you wouldn't believe who came to my door, at first I didn't believe it but no matter how many times I would try to deny it, it was only reality from that point forward," claimed the man as he approached another window to pull the curtains apart. "Min Yoongi paid me a visit..."

"Min Yoongi..." Jungkook repeated to himself and finally recognized that name and in that moment, he couldn't help but to become jealous. "What... Did he do?"

"Nothing actually...he was only asking for directions and I helped. He just didn't recognize me though. I thought seeing him after so long would kill me, but it didn't. I think I needed to see that he didn't remember me in order to accept that what we had was in the past," Jimin mentioned and continued to stare at the fabric of the curtain silently in his hands. "I did cry though... I cried a bit more than I thought but... I just knew it was the past, sealing itself away for good this time."

Jungkook noticed the way Jimin no longer stared at him in the moment. The android figured it was another complex feeling only a human would understand, so he only dared to learn of it to be there for his partner. If anything changed in the android, it would be the lengths he would go to just for his partner and at times, he would find himself doing that more than fulfilling his longing to be human. He did it all in a way to be human enough for his Park Jimin.

"Are you okay now?" Jungkook curiously asked and approached the human standing by the window with his hands latched onto the fabric of the curtain. "It's okay if you're not... I can't imagine what it's like to go through such a thing..." Jungkook went on and finally reached Jimin in order to pull him into his arms. Keeping the pink hue in his eyes, believing that this was how Jimin wanted him, to be as much of a human as he possibly could.

"I'm fine now... now that the small part of him that haunted my heart is now gone... I feel free and happy in your arms, Jungkook. Like I can breathe after being underwater for so long," Jimin whispered and finally let go of the curtain that used to conceal the light of the outside from shining in. "I never knew... how different the atmosphere in my living room would feel if I pulled the curtains apart just like this. It feels so much better in here..."

"Even if it's cold outside, the sunlight does shine in nicely. It's a beautiful day outside..." Jungkook elaborated further on the beautiful day outside to ease Jimin in case he had any other thoughts that longed to explode, yet, nothing happened. He was silent and happy in his arms now, allowing his heart to race the whole time he spent it with the one he felt the safest with.

Jungkook couldn't tell what it was. His eyes never changed from pink the whole time he looked at Jimin and tried to change it on his own. Something was different and his eyes told the story he could never long to say with his lips. First, with his eyes and then with the pink blushes over the apples of his cheeks. Jungkook knew there was a change in him, the way his heart raced and his breathing increased the second he would bask in the beauty of Jimin's presence. He would feel alive when he had Jimin underneath him, kissing him passionately and whispering his name between his breathless cries, but now, he felt closer to being human just feeling this way next to Jimin. Could it truly be the way of love Jungkook has never seen before? Of course, he couldn't confirm, he just never loved before in order to say that it was.

"I feel different when I'm with him... he makes all those negative words I've heard about myself before... silent. He erases every doubt I have of myself and makes me feel alive. And here I thought, sex was what truly brought me closer to being human but no... that's not it... being with him makes my heart race so much... could this be the love Hoseok claimed to have for me? No, could this be the love Jimin had for Yoongi before? No... this is better than all of that. Could this be what humans feel? Am I close enough to finally feel the human understanding of love? All that I am is an android, but for Jimin... I'll be so much more to him than just another robotic partner. That I'm sure of," Jungkook thought to himself, caressing the side of Jimin's face as he kept him close to his body. "If this is what love truly feels like, I don't want to let go of it...ever."
