Chapter 37: These Four Walls

The door creaked the second Hoseok slowly pushed the door to the eerie room open. At first glance, Hoseok noticed the black light filling the dark and cold room instantly. It was a nerve-racking sensation that guided its fingers down Hoseok's spine as the human stepped forward, sinking into every step as if he was going to suffocate within these four walls.

"It's dark in here... where is the light switch?" Hoseok asked himself, guiding his hands along the bare spaces along the walls before letting out a scoff. "Of course... there's no light switch in here, he keeps this place cold and dark to scare me off, huh?" The man went on and right at that second, Taehyung set his hands over the young man's shoulder, causing another chill to shoot through his blood instantly.

"Hoseok, why is this room of yours different from the rest?" Taehyung asked curiously and continued to look around the vast room, scanning every object in place in order to familiarize himself within the darkness. "You should invest in a lamp... intense exposure to UV lights for a long and extended time can result in damage to skin and eyes. However it differs. Either way, it's not safe for you to be under this light for too long," Taehyung mentioned as Hoseok took out his phone and began to shine a flashlight.

"I'm well aware of that information, Taehyung," Hoseok replied and guided the light along every object in the room.

To his right, was Jungkook's charging station sitting by the corner of the room and off to his left was a wall of box televisions set up together as if they served as different monitors. Yet, they weren't plugged in and the limited lighting didn't seem to show the writings within most sticky notes attached to the walls along with the desk carrying the box televisions. As Hoseok quickly guided the flashlight emitting from his phone across the room, his eyes latched onto Jungkook's wardrobe.

"Another wardrobe? You must have a lot of clothes, Hoseok! Other androids do not need that much!" Taehyung spoke up, cutting through the silence to gloss over the fact that Hoseok was afraid. Because Taehyung wasn't built to handle issues or know what to do in a concerning environment, he tried his best to make Hoseok smile through this, yet, he just didn't know why the human was afraid in the first place.

"This isn't my room," Hoseok answered before allowing the room to drown in silence. "Again, this is Jungkook's room..."

"Jungkook has many things in this room, I feel out of place because I only have my charging station... I have no need for anything else in my vacant room except for my clothes," Taehyung mentioned and walked around the room curiously before stopping right at the wall of box televisions stacked along each other so perfectly. "Why does he need to have this many box televisions? What does he watch?"

"I don't know," replied the human as he continued to look around for what he longed to find in the first place; his expensive micro cameras.

"If he is entertained through these televisions, does he combine the media so every screen has its own view? Or is it the same thing repeated on every screen? If so, why is he watching entertainment this way? Most Android's download entertainment onto their database in order to keep the conversation rolling," Taehyung continued and went on and on, leaving Hoseok to desperately try to ignore the questions the android made in order to stay focused and not distract himself further. He only wanted to find the cameras and leave as soon as possible.

"I don't know, Taehyung..." Hoseok answered. Guiding the flashlight along the wall of sticky notes Jungkook kept. The second Hoseok did so, his eyes widened; catching onto a few words that were written on a few.

Hoseok's eyes then fixed onto a small note as he tried not to direct his attention to it just so Taehyung wouldn't see it, he only hoped to keep Jungkook's fascination a secret just so Taehyung wouldn't feel like Jimin was in danger at all. As Hoseok tried to play it off like he wasn't looking closely at the note, he began to read it in his head the second his eyes began to make out what it said.

"'Park Jimin tends to reminisce on the past a lot'... 'Park Jimin takes 04.99 seconds to breathe in and out, I wish I could do that'... 'Jimin blushes a lot, displaying admiration very easily'... 'his body is gentle and warm'... 'his lips are soft as his hands embrace me, why do I feel this way?'" Hoseok read many sticky notes and raised a brow, stepping back and making sure he didn't give too much attention to it in order to avoid Taehyung becoming too curious. "All of these notes are about Jimin... why am I not surprised? He's interested in that boy because he's human... and he's not the one who assisted in making him so he knows none of Jungkook's flaws. That's what makes Park Jimin a perfect target for an envious android like Jeon Jungkook."

Hoseok kept trying to divert his attention away from the notes by waking up to the wardrobe and opening it. Hoping to find his missing cameras until, he stumbled upon a journal just sitting on a few folded clothes within the wardrobe. Now that he kept the door slightly opened, he was able to block his attention towards this journal from the android. He stood behind this door and was finally able to dwell further on these things.

"Jungkook tends to put those thoughts to work, doesn't he?" the older man asked, running his hand through the binding until he opened it to the very first page.

As Hoseok flipped through the journal, most entries were documenting everything he observed about Park Jimin as if the boy was standing right before him as he wrote it all out in perfect detail. From the moment they first met, to the second they first kissed at the beach. Everything was jotted down and every thought that came across Jungkook's mind was included as well. Hoseok's eyes widened as he read over the first few thoughts Jungkook had towards Jimin.

"That boy is very interesting, I've seen him run home every now and then and I can't help but to become curious. I want to know everything about him... he wouldn't know my flaws at all, that's what makes him perfect to be someone I can observe and look into. He has piqued my interest... I need to get close to him, I want to learn so much more about humans. Hoseok wouldn't let me because I get too envious and dangerous, but he doesn't know what it's like. He doesn't know what it's like to have a longing to become normal. I scanned him already, his name is Park Jimin, and he will serve as the window I need to look into the living. Nothing more," Hoseok read and felt his heart sink as he continued to flip the pages until he reached the moment they first kissed. "His lips met mine, this is how humans show their affection towards another, it's such a silly thing, but I believe I began to develop a defect... I feel weird every time I look at Jimin, my artificial heart starts to race faster than the calm beats Jimin's would give. I control my emotions and hide them most of the time with Jimin, but at times, the pink in my irises can't help but to jump out at times... am I broken?"

"Hoseok, shall I plug in these televisions? I'm curious..." Taehyung inquired as the human only flinched and quickly looked back to see Taehyung holding the plug and pointing to the outlet.

"No, they're just there for decoration, I'm sure of it. Leave it alone, my little android," Hoseok claimed as Taehyung only tilted his head and began to look around curiously all while Hoseok continued to read the entries Jungkook logged his thoughts into. But since Taehyung couldn't operate without a human being socially active with him, he continued to talk about many things in order to keep a conversation rolling. However, Hoseok was too distracted to pay him any mind.

"I don't really watch too many soap operas, Jimin says it might ruin my database if I invest too much time into it. Do you think he knows if it's possible? Is it possible? You seem to know a lot about androids, so tell me," Taehyung continued as his eyes explored the room until it latched onto the sticky notes against the walls. "I don't think it's possible..."

At the same time, Jungkook guided his hand down Jimin's body while they stood together closely in the shower. Their eyes explored each other's body, carefully observing the features they couldn't see before since they were too distracted. With their heads pressing against each other and their arms wrapping and held in the other's embrace, Jungkook continued to keep his nerve-racking eyes locked onto Jimin's while the human could only guide the tips of his fingers along the details of the creation's tattoos.

As silent as he was, he still managed to capture all of Jeon Jungkook's attention while his hands still guided along the Android's muscles. Being able to see Jungkook completely with just the water sliding down the shower head and onto their exposed bodies so perfectly. After a while, they eventually got out of the shower once they were done, now completely dried with the exception of their hair still damp as Jimin was left in his underwear while Jungkook was already dressed to leave very soon.

Over the new bedsheets they replaced the old ones with, Jungkook caged Jimin underneath him once more, guiding his passionate kisses against his neck and leading them up to his lips once more. Giving him the affection he longed for before he could even dare to depart. This was how the android behaved now he was truly bonded with the human, he couldn't even stand the second being separated from Jimin while they were in the same house, so he followed him to the shower like an innocent little puppy. Wanting to avoid the thought that he had to leave Jimin.

"Jungkook..." Jimin whispered softly and interrupted the creation from kissing him further. "You know I like you... so much..."

"I know you do, I like you a lot too, maybe even more than you can comprehend," Jungkook whispered and made a smile into another kiss he peppered against Jimin's skin. "I like you so much... I don't want to leave you at all but I have no choice..."

"You weren't kidding! I couldn't even take a shower on my own..."

"I didn't think I was going to behave that way, I'm sorry," Jungkook replied and pressed his head against Jimin's forehead, knowing better not to apply too much weight over his partner. "Don't be afraid to tell me no, I can take it."

"Ah, how could I say no to you? You will always find a way to make me agree," Jimin replied and kept avoiding the weird sensation of looking Jungkook in his bone chilling eyes. "When do you have to leave?"

"Right about now," answered the android and rubbed his nose against Jimin's. "I wish I could stay, but then my energy will run out... so I have to go now."

"Then go, I'll be fine. I haven't felt unsafe at all, you've helped me so much," Jimin whispered against the Android's ear. Causing Jungkook to notice that Jimin began to feel intimidated, so the human never looked him in the eyes after they shared such a passionate moment over the same bed.

"You're only safe with me because I make you feel safe, don't I? Please don't hesitate to call me when you feel afraid... I'm your partner Jimin, please... let me protect you.." Jungkook went on and tilted his head, hoping to catch Jimin's gaze within his pink stare. Yet, Jimin only closed his eyes and kept running his hands along Jungkook's body, pretending to be calm enough that he was ready to sleep.

"I'll be fine, Jungkook... I know the thing that has been watching me is gone now..."

"Gone..." Jungkook thought and looked at Jimin's eyelids that covered his eyes completely. With Jimin not even daring to look him in the eyes, Jungkook's pink gaze shifted into an emerald green; displaying the mischief he hid after hearing those words.

There it was again, Jungkook's way of overprotecting his partner to the point where he longed to be there for him every second left Jimin feeling a little on edge. The warmth was there, the care, and the growing love, but the gaze of Jungkook's eyes always tended to cause every familiar chill to run down Jimin's spine. But at the end of the day, these four walls were everything Jimin knew when it came to being protected from the stare of the unknown. He had no other place to run to for safety other than stay in Jungkook's arms.
