Melanie's POV

I nervously shifted in my seat on the plane headed from Maine to LA. I was going to be meeting my internet best friend and girlfriend, Halsey or Ashley, but she hated to be called that. We had met over Wattpad and got each other's kiks, and eventually we both fell for each other. We had been dating for 6 months now and I had just saved up enough money to fly out and meet her, but now I was getting nervous. I kept bouncing my leg and eventually the elderly lady sitting next to me took notice. "Is everything okay, dear?" She asks looking at me. "Yes, I'm just meeting my girlfriend for the first time," I answered back. She smiles at me, "that's wonderful! What's her name?" I was glad she wasn't one of those homophobic old people. "Her names Ashley, but she hates being called that so her nickname is Halsey," I tell her a smile growing on my face. "That's a lovely name, what's she like?" Alright, I loved this old lady. "She's absolutely beautiful, she's my everything. She cares about everyone and everything. She's always willing to help someone out even if they don't want it, she'll still help," I say kind of rambling.

We talk about mine and Halsey's relationship throughout the entire remaining time of the flight. My nervousness had completely gone away now and I just wanted to land so I could finally hold her in my arms.

*time skip to when le plane lands*

I rushed off the plane looking for the real haired girl who I've waited almost a year to meet. I got to baggage claim and got my stuff when I got a text.

Halsey❤️: Babe I'm in the Starbucks with everyone

Me: Ok, I'll be there in a second

I quickly make my way over to the Starbucks. Once I reach the shop, I see the bright teal head of hair. She looks up and we lock eyes. She stands up and runs over to me. I drop my bags and wrap my arms around her. We stay like that for a minute before we pull apart. We stare into each other's eyes and without much warning I slam my lips onto hers, too which she immediately kisses back. We hear all her friends 'aww' around us. We pull apart and just look at each other. "We should head to my place," she says. I agree and I grab my bags and we leave the airport, everyone else left as well.

Once we get to her place I don't even put my stuff away, I just drop it at her door. We both fall on to her couch and she pulls me into her lap as she wraps her arms around my waist. We laugh a little as she grabs the TV remote and turns on Alice And Wonderland. I snuggle closer to her realizing that she really is my everything.
