Chapter 2: On the inside

Just to be clear, in the description about Thea, I meant she hates her life, not her nickname. The nicknames fine.  Also, when they are getting to camp, idk if how they got there made sense... I don't think it did... oh well.

Aliyah's POV

My bags were packed, and I was bouncing up and down. On the inside. I was ready to go. They had to pick me up because mortals can't find the camp, and my aunt is mortal. I peered through the window and saw a yellow taxi pulled up, going at a concerningly fast rate, and then abruptly stopping, pushing over our mailbox. A guy with curly blonde hair, a small goatee, and a baseball cap got out. Following him was an extremely skinny girl with wide hips. She flipped her blonde hair and strut after him to.. My front door??? Oh my god it's them.

"They're here!!!" I screamed up the stairs to my aunt.

"Coming!" she yelled back.

I heard her coming down the stairs. They knocked on the door, and I quickly opened it.

"Hello. Aliyah Brown? " the guy said nervously.

" Yeah, i. Are you guys here to take me to camp?" I asked.

"Yes. Well, I am. That's Thea Campbell, she's another new camper." said the guy.

"Thea Campbell? Sound familiar." I said.

"That's cool. My aunt will be down to say goodbye, then I'll be ready to go. What's your name?" I asked the guy.

"Theo." he replied casually.

 "Are you a demi-god?" I asked.

"Hold up." Thea cut in. "How do you now about this madness already? I am SO confused on what's going on!" she exclaimed.

"Don't worry Thea." Theo said.

"All will be explained at camp where we have some demi-gods who have been through this for a while." he said.

My aunt appeared behind me. "Hello! I'm Catherin." she said, holding her hand out to Theo.

"Baaah. Hello Miss Catherin. I'm Theo." he said.

My aunt gave me a huge hug and handed me my bag. "Have a great summer baby." she said.

Tears ran down her face, and I was sobbing on the inside.

"See you later aunty." I said.

I turned around, and gave Thea and Theo a small smile.

"Let's go." I said.

We walked out to the taxi and all squished next to each other. I was in the middle, so I had to suffer being next to both of them.

"Can someone please explain whats happen- WHOA!!" Thea was cut off by the taxi taking off at an amazing speed.

We slammed against the back of our seats.

"At camp!" Theo said to Thea again.

"Ughhhh." she groaned.

In no time we came to a stop.

"See you later!" an old lady from the front cackled.

"Ugh. Hopefully not." Thea groaned.

We climbed out and walked up a hill to get in. a huge pine tree stood, with what looked like a gold rug on one of the branches. A huge statue of some goddess stood next to it, and the most startling thing was a huge dragon wrapped around the tree. Fear shook through my body as I gaped at the huge monster. Thea screamed, and so did I -on the inside.

"Don't worry about him, he's harmless. Unless you get to close." Theo said.

"Augh! Will somebody puh-lease explain what's going on???" Thea shrieked.

Her blonde hair fell over her shoulders, looking frizzy and messy, and somehow it made her look hotter. "Stop it Aliyah." I scolded myself.

"Okay, okay. Look, there are some campers they'll explain. Will! Nico! Come here!" Theo yelled, waving over two guys.

They jogged over and I got a good look at them. One of them was tall and looked like a California surfer dude, with wavy blonde hair, baby blue eyes and tanned skin. He had a bright orange Camp Half-Blood shirt, and pastel pink shorts. The other one was his opposite. He had thick messy black hair to his shoulder, he was short, and had olive skin. His eyes were dark brown, like mine, and for way to long we locked eyes. He squinted at me then looked away. Weirdo.

"Hi! My name's Will Solace." the blonde guy said, putting out his hand.

"Aliyah Brown." I said shaking his hand.

Thea pursed her lips like she was thinking about something.

"Don't you recognize me?" Thea asked Will.

The short dude gave her a weird look, and Will stared at her for a moment, then broke out into a huge grin.

"OMG! You're Thicc Thea!" he exclaimed.

Thea smiled.

"Um, what did you just call her??" Nico huffed, looking irritated.

"Babe, she's super famous. On Instagram. That app I showed you?" Will said to Nico.

"Oh. Cool I guess." Nico said.

"Babe??" Thea questioned.

"Oh, this is Nico di Angelo. He's my boyfriend." Will said.

Thea's mouth fell open slightly and I rolled my eyes. Idiot. They were so obvious that they were dating.

"What did you just call me??" Thea asked me.

"Did I say that out loud?" I ask nervously.

Thea glared, then turned to Will and Nico.

"Okay, I was promised some explanations. So start talking boys." Thea ordered, crossing her arms (making her boobs pop out in her tank top, even more than they were. Whaat, I didn't say anything).

Nico rolled his eyes.

"Okay! So, how much do you know already?" Will asked.

"I'm at a camp for not normal kids." Thea said.

"Oh that's not a lot. Okay then.. Um.." Will said.

"Basically." Nico cut in. "You know the Greek gods, and Greek myths right."

"Um, ya." Thea said.

 "Well..." Nico said.

Honestly, the look on Thea's face when he finished telling everything made my day.
