With the loud sound of glass shattering, she now looked like her whole body was made of diamond. How much do you think they know about all of this? I sent Kelly and Will. I think that they know as much we do or they wouldn't be so quick to hassle us for info. thought Kelly. It doesn't matter one way or the other to me these guys are looking for a fight and I'm willing to give it to them. Thought Will with a hungry look on his face.******************************

"Will no fighting isn't the answer!" Kelly exclaimed out loud. She took a quick intake of breath, and her face paled as she realized that she just spoke out loud. "Well, well, well looks like we have a telepath. I wonder can you tell what I'm thinking right now. If you can then you know that things are about to get interesting." purred Kendal. 

"We don't know anything and neither do you. It doesn't take a telepath to know your bullshitting us right now. You're not going to lay a finger on any of us. None of us have our memories and we are all scared. So drop the big bad guy act Kendal. Why don't we all just take a second to talk this out." I said in the my calmest voice.

Kendal looked all three of us in the eye before relenting," Fine I'm willing if you guys are. I'm just eager for answers." She then shifted back into her human form. Kevin just shrugged not caring. Tara and Jason nodded to each other. We all sat in a circle and no said anything for a minute.

"Well we might as well officially introduce ourselves. I am Jason Braken and my ability is to shrink and grow. I have enchanced speed, strength and flight when I'm small so that's how I snuck up on you guys. I don't remember much, just this box that they put my in to test me. It would shrink and grow, I would change my size and if I didn't they'd... shock me." said Jason, trailing off at the end. 

"My name is Tara Heilinder and my power is to absorb, use, and manipulate kinetic energy. I-" "Wait how did you figure that out?" Will interrupted. "Well being as brazen as she is Kendal thought I was her enemy and ambushed me. As she hit me and I felt waves rippling across and into me; I found that I was getting stronger with each hit and they barely hurt. I have no memories of experiments or anything else." said Tara in emotionless tone that sent a chill down my spine.

 "Hey no one got hurt." Kendal replied giving her a laid back smile. "You leapt out at me in your diamond form, screamed like a lunatic and punched, kicked, and slammed me into things multiple times. If I hadn't absorbed the hits I would have broken bones or died. Although I can't get mad at you for that since I punched you into the side of that mountain." Tara said with what almost seemed like an amused smirk. 

"Oh so that's what that sound was before. That really scared the crap out of me." said Kelly "Well my apologies, it wasn't my intention to scare ya darling." said Kendal in a overexagerated southern drawl, while sporting an even bigger grin than before. Kendal continued, ignoring Kelly's annoyed glare. 

"My name is Kendal Ward and I can change my skin into whatever I'm touching. I can change into something that looks like diamond so that's what I'm called it for now and a pretty tough metal. I do this with these little trinkets in my wrist right here. And the only thing that I recall is the White Coats putting these things in. They cut open my wrist and shifted my veins, muscles, and lord knows what else. The worst part is that I was awake the whole time and wasn't on pain killers I. FELT. EVERY. SECOND" She held up her right wrist which had two dime sized orbs in it, glaring at it with scorn. As she said one had a gem that looked similar diamond and the other a gleaming silver metal. 

"How do you know that it isn't diamond, it looks like it is to me." I said. "Well I'm willing to bet, I'm usually not a betting kind of girl, that you aren't a jeweler so I don't think your opinion really counts. If you really must know when I shift into something I can sort of well for lack of better term "feel" what it is. I just have a strong feeling that it isn't diamond and I have nothing else to say on the matter." Kendal replied. She crossed her arms and turned her back to us.

 "Well my name is Kevin Gates. No relation to Bill Gates, although I'd like to think I'm smarter than him. I have the ability to create force fields. I can shape them into any shape, as strong as I like."said Kevin. "The only thing I remember is having a day at the beach. I was with one of my friends, I can't remember his name though. We hung out, swam, ate ice cream, played volleyball, and other things. But, after some random point it just ends." He said, his expression pained. 

Kevin held up his hand, palm facing up and open, above it was a sphere with an orange tint, it then changed into a pyramid, then two cubes that spun around our little circle. He then closed his fist and they disappeared. "Although the larger, stronger, and longer I hold the shield the more concentration it takes. The bigger shields take a lot out of me so I'd imagine I would black out from holding one too long." said Kevin, he then eased onto his back signaling the end of his part.

Will, Kelly, and I all looked at each other trying decide who was going to go first, in the end Kelly decided to be the brave one. "I'm Kelly Carter and I'm a telepath. The only things I remember are my name and that Dev is my brother. So far all I can do read and project thoughts, and show people things." Said Kelly. "Wait, what do you mean by show people things, like illusions?" "Well yeah illusions." She held out her arms and a collection of butterflies flocked to her, then in the blink of an eye they were gone. 

She looked conflicted for a brief moment but continued. "And well how do I put this, I um can show you all your worst fears of I wanted. It's like your minds want me to hear them even when I try to shut them out, I can still hear them whispering your fears. Like Will's fear of snakes, Kendal's fear of being powerless." She whispered. 

At the mention of their fears both teens visibly paled. "But I've only tried regular illusions so far, would never force you guys to live you fears. The very idea itself scares me." Kelly hastily said. Her head down with her hair covering face. Jason placed a supportive hand on her shoulder.

Will then shot me a look said that he wasn't willing to go next, I took that as my cue to speak. "I am Devin Carter, you guys can call me Dev if you want. I'm an telepath like my sister. I can't make illusions though. The only things I remember are a white light and hearing all your thoughts. And the thoughts of one of the white coats saying that we were ready for phase one."

 "That make sense though, why would the WCs make two telepaths. It doesn't make sense, like our powers have nothing in common. So I'm thinking that if one if you guys can do one thing then it's likely the other can't do it and vice versa. If you don't know what you can and can't do yet then don't worry your talents will show themselves in due time." said Kevin, who was still lying on his back and playing with one his floating shields, changing it into various shapes.

We all stared at him waiting for him to elaborate on what he said. He sat up looked at all of us and said,"I have nothing else to say, so you might as well get on with your story Will." Then went back to what he was doing."

He left out a irritated huff and sent a sharp look at Kevin. "My name is William Lovmark, you all can call me Will. I have a memory lying on my roof, the sun is setting. I remember being so happy, but I don't know why. I have someone with me, I can't see their face though. then the memory stops." Will paused for a moment a wistful look on his face. 

Then that was replaced by an smile that didn't reach his eyes. "My ability I think is to control light." He created a ball of light and flew it around our little circle. It stopped in front of Kevin who gingerly held his hand up to it, a small smile playing on his face. "Its warm, it's like small sun or something." 

Then Kevin put his hand through the light and it fell apart. "I bet if you were to really concentrate you could make a solid sphere, but the heat generated will be intense so you couldn't touch it." said Kevin. "Sounds interesting I'll test that later, I'd love it if you could me a hand with that." Will said. "I would like that" replied Kevin. Will's face light up in a genuine smile, showing his dimples.

"I think it might be wise to move position and find shelter for the night. We are very exposed and we do not know what sort of things come out at night." Tara pointed out. "I agree it is starting to get dark." I said. The sun was starting to set behind the mountains, we didn't have much daylight left. "We could go back to our shipping crate if no one else has any other ideas." Kelly suggested. No one disagreed so in the fading daylight we made our way to the edge of the tree line. By the time we made it Will was lighting our way and what we saw made no sense. The shipping container was gone. All that was left was an depression in the grass.

"Well looks like we have no where to sleep tonight." said Kendal with a sigh. "All cause your magical crate decided to up and disappear on us." "The WCs probably took it the question is-" Kelly paused. She closed her eyes in concentration and snapped then open. "Devin drop the wall to your mind and tell me do you feel that." 

I took a deep breath and dropped it. I could feel the minds of everyone near me, then broadened my range and it didn't take me long to see what Kelly was talking about. "What is that?" I asked "I have no clue." she answered. "What is it what do you guys see?" Jacob inquired urgently. "It's a swarm of minds, they aren't like ours though." I informed 

"They don't form thoughts the same way we do it's more like impressions. More pictures and vague feelings than actual words. I'm guessing that their animals, but they're minds feel cold, metallic, void of thought and emotion. They don't feel truly alive. All I'm getting is a low hum." Kelly said. 

"Well can you at least tell what direction they are coming from." Kendal said her face no longer smiling. "They're coming from..." Her face went pale  and she shut her eyes whispering,"No that can't be right. They-they're coming from everywhere."
