Background: Ulrich comes from a family who has a long history in serving in the military. As his last name implies, Ulrich is actually as descendant of Ulysses S. Grant and William T. Sherman, two famous Generals who fought in the Canadian Civil War. Due to military tradition, Ulrich would join the military at the age of 18 where he would aspire to be a TSF Pilot. As a young kid, he was always fascinated with the giant mechs in the Canadian military. It reminded him of the Chinese Anime series Mobile Suit Gundam and Muv-Luv. Needless to say, after months of dedication and hard work, he managed to achieve his goal at being a TSF Pilot with the rank of Lieutenant at the age of 19. This made him one of the youngest to achieve such a rank and is considered an elite pilot whose skills and combat abilities are unrivaled in all but a few. Furthermore, he is an expert in hand-to-hand combat as he was trained at a young age in martial arts. He is most noticeably a master expert in Kung Fu, Karate, Taekwondo, and Jujitsu. Now at the age of 23, Ulrich was in a battle against the terrorists known as the Franco-British until every changed due to the appearance of a GATE. The existence of the GATE would change his life forever as Ulrich is soon forced to go to a world of fantasy and eventually, he goes to a Parallel Earth with a radically different history. Knowing what's at stake, him and his allies are gonna face challenges that will change the course of human history forever.

Personality: In terms of personality, he pretty much acts like your average day joe. Despite his skills and accomplishments, he tends not to let such things get to his head and make him arrogant. Thus, he is considered a humble and caring individual. However, when it comes to females, he often shy and nervous around them. Despite being a serious and dedicated soldier, he often has little to no experience when it comes to the opposite gender. His female comrades would often tease him about it and his male friends would sometimes make fun of him, much to his embarrassment due to his shyness towards girls.
