Chapter 2: The Fire Dragon Appears!

The Recon 3 Team made their way through Coda Village as they stopped to rest.

Itami was communicating with the Head of the village,while struggling a bit.

Y/n: Are you doing fine there Sir?

Itami: I can manage.

Village Chief: We have to evacuate all the villages immediately!

Itami: Wait! for what?

Village Chief: If a Fire Dragon gets a taste of human or elven blood,it will be back for more!

Itami: Then we'll help you! Team! Help evacuate the villages at once!

Recon 3: Yes Sir!

The Recon 3 Squad scattered around the village,helping any villager that needed assistance at help.

Y/n: Can...help...?

Old Lady: Oh,thank you...You such a nice young man.

Y/n: (mind) Is that a yes?

Y/n without hesitation helps the old lady.

Villagers were hurrying,scared that the Fire Dragon might attack there village.

Timeskip

Y/n went to rest with Itami as Takeo also stood next to them.

Y/n: This world's tongue is on another level,I tell you.

Takeo: Wait,you can speak there language?

Y/n looks over at Takeo and grins.

Y/n: What? You jealous or something?

Takeo: W-Why should I be jealous?

Y/n: I dont know,maybe it's got to do that I am better than you?

Takeo: Th-That doesn't make you better than me!

Y/n: Are you sure? I mean,the people wouldn't want to be talking with strangers am I right Sir?

Itami: Yeah...

Takeo: Then...I guess I just have to learn then...Where's the book Lieutenant

Itami:...I can't give it to you.

Takeo: Why!? Then why does T/n get to use it.

Y/n: I never said that I got the book by Itami.

Takeo: Huh? Then where-

Y/n slowly reaches to his pocket and pulls out a book.

Takeo: Wait! Why does he get to get his own one?

Itami: Hr asked for it.

Takeo: Then,I want one too!

Itami: It's too late.

Takeo: No way!

Takeo looks down as Y/n calls out to him.

Y/n: Hey,do you want to borrow mine?

Takeo looks up as he smiles.

Y/n: Then first you have to say that I'm better than you...

Takeo's expression turned from happy to annoyed.

Takeo: LIKE HELL!!!

The Recon 3 Squad with the other villages had evacuated Vida Village to get away from the Fire Dragon.

Y/n: It's lighter than I thought...

Y/n alone pushed a carriage without much effort through the mud as the other villages and Recon 3 members were shocked.

Shino: How are you doing that!?!

Y/n: Hm? I work out...?

Shino: Impossible...

Villager: Thank you again,kind sir...

Y/n: You...welcome...

Suddenly the people in front of them stopped.

Y/n: What's going in there in front?

Shino: Maybe just a hold up...

Suddenly they heard noises coming from in front.

Y/n let go of the carriage and walked with his gun to check it out.

Shino: Hey! Where are you going?

Y/n: I'm going to check it out...

Shino: Geez...

Y/n sneakily walked as the villages with looking at him.

Y/n: Who is that?

Y/n saw a small girl with a huge war axe in her hand standing by the front car's window.

Y/n: Freeze!

He pointed his gun at her as she noticed him calling out to her.

Y/n: (mind) A child?

Y/n saw that children were behind her.

Y/n: (mind) Is she taking them hostage?

The girl with the war axe started walking towards him without hesitation.

Y/n: I said freeze-

Itami: Wait! Hold your fire!

Y/n heard his leader speak out to him.

Y/n kept his finger on the trigger if his gun as he waited,but the girl didn't stop as she was smirking.

Boy:...Oracle, that man is protecting us!

Y/n didn't know what the boy said at first,but he could make out that he said that he was protecting them.

Rory: Really?

Boy: Yes!

Rory: Oh? Then I guess I can't kill him right?

Rory turned back to Y/n as she gave a sly smirk.

Y/n,not backing down gave an evil smirk.

The girl backed up as she started giggling.

Rory: Oh my...

Itami: Okay! We have to keep moving!

Y/n broke out if his smirk as he walked back to the carriage without giving a glance to Rory.

Shino: So what happened?

Y/n: A girl with a big war axe was in front.

Shino: I guess even children carry weapons in this world.

Y/n: She didn't look like a child tho...she had thus smirk,like she was ready to kill me.

Shino pauses for a second as she giggles.

Shino: I mean...who wouldn't want to kill us! We do come from another world.

Y/n:...

The carriages in front started moving as Y/n lift the carriage and pushed it.

Timeskip

Shino was staring at Y/n as she found it impossible to still jeep pushing the carriage for so long with a straight face.

Y/n: I'm sorry...is there something on my face?

Shino: Hey,quick question? Dont you feel tired?

Y/n: Why should I? It's just a carriage with goods in it.

Shino: (mind) Yeah, heavy goods.

Sudden they heard a loud roar and looked behind them.

Villager: Fire Dragon!

Y/n,Shino and the others immediately took action as they left the "dead weight" and ran.

Shino: We must protect the villagers at all cost!

While running away the Recon 3 team started firing at the dragon,but as the bullets hit the skin, it had no effect.

Itami: Shoot the eye!

Everyone started firing at the eye as to at least blind or damage it.

Fire Dragon: Rwaarggh!!!!!

Some if the bullets had hit the dragon,but it went on a rampage and breath fire out if his mouth.

With no control over it's vision and senses,the dragon had breathed fire around it,missing the vehicles and the villagers.

Suddenly a huge crater by the dragon was made as it had a huge damage,but fled away quickly.

The vehicles stopped and tg other carriages.

Rory stood in front of the vehicles as she smirked.

Rory: Ah! What a lovely day to kill...

Boy: Mr!

Rory heard one if the children as she looked and saw a bunch of people standing around a body. It was Y/n with a burnes arm.

Villager: I'm so sorry, he helped me...

The villager shed tears as he looked back at the Y/n that was unconscious or presumably dead.

Rory: Ah well,maybe someone did die
