Y/n stood tall in front of his seniors and captain and saluted.

Y/n: Y/n L/n at your service First Lieutenant Itami Yoji!

Itami: So you must be the rookie huh? I'm glad you are with us...

Y/n: Yes Sir!

Itami looks to his squad and signals all of them to greet the new recruit.

As they do,Y/n immediately forgot there names.

Y/n: Yeah...what were your names again?

Itami: O-Okay...we should probably get ready to move...leave the introductions for later.

Everyone: Yes Sir!

The Recon 3 group walks with their leader as Y/n walks inbetween them.

Shino: Hey rookie,watch yourself out there.

Y/n nods to Shino as the others let out a chuckle.

Y/n confused look at them.

Itami: You shouldn't tease the rookie guys. His capable of many things.

Shino: Really? He doesn't look like much...

Itami: Wait till you see him in action

Y/n:...

Timeskip

The Allied Force has fought many battles and luckily won everything without losing one of their men.

They travelled even further to a burnt down village.

All trees and house were decayed.

Itami: Have you found anything on your end Y/n?

Y/n: No sir!

Itami: You know you can drop the Sir right? Just call me Itami.

Y/n: Yes sir!

Itami sighs as Shino approached them.

Shino: This place looks messed up.

Itami: Tell me something I dont know...

Y/n: Have you found anything?

Shino: Other than dead people,burnt trees and burnt houses? No nothing.

Y/n: So,no survivors, huh?

Itami looks behind him and walks away from them.

Soichiro: From they way you guys are standing around,it doesn't look like you guys found something too...

Y/n: No-

Itami: Hey guys! Come over here!

Y/n with the rest of the Recon 3 walked over to Itami as he stood by a well

Y/n: What's going on there sir?

Itami: I...dont know. I can't see in here

Itami pulls out his flashlight and looks down.

Itami: I need a rope!

Y/n: For what sir?

Itami: There's someone in here!

Y/n runs over to Itami as he looks down the well

Y/n: Is that an-

Itami: Elf!

Y/n: (mind) No,yeah, that was what I was about to say...

Akira: Here's the rope!

Akira hands the rope to Itami.

Y/n: Are you a wrestler?

Akira: Hm? Where does that come from rookie?

Y/n looks at Akira's arms and compares it to himself.

Y/n: Oh nowhere...

Itami: Van you guys hold on to this for?

Itami gives Akira the rope to keep as Itami used the other side of it to tie it to his waist.

Itami: I'm going...

Itami jumps down as Akira with little to no effort manages to keep tight of the rope.

Itami:...

Everyone:...

Itami: Pull!

Akira pulls,but struggles a bit as Y/n comes to aid him.

With the help they get Itami out with the Elf

Itami lays her down as he takes off his jacket and covers her with it.

Y/n let's go of the rope as Akira pulls the rope towards him and rolls it up.

Y/n: She looks like she's still alive.

Itami checks her pulse as he sighs.

Itami: Yeah...she's just unconscious.

Shino: We should get her to the Medics!

Itami: Yes!

Timeskip

The Recon 3 Team has taken the unconscious Elf back to a tent whereas they treated her.

Y/n: When do you think she'll wake up?

Itami: I have no idea...

Y/n,Itami and Takeo were talking with each other

Takeo: Come on guys! Can't you act like you hit the jackpot? I mean...a Elf,forsakes!

Y/n: The Elf that you are talking about just got her village burned and probably her family murdered by the flames.

Takeo: Hey now! No need to act so all of a sudden. For what it's worth at least we've got a survivor than nothing...Right Itami?

Itami: Hm? Oh yeah,yeah.

Takeo: You see?

Y/n: He wasn't listening in on the conversation...

Takeo: Yes he-

Mari: I'm sorry if I was disturbing your boy's conversation...

Takeo: D-Dont treat me as I'm little! I'm not a child!

Y/n: You sure?

Takeo: Hey now! Itami help me out here...

Itami: How's the girl doing?

Takeo: (mind) HE IGNORED ME!!!!

Mari: She's doing just fine,shell probably wake up soon...

Itami: That's good to hear...

Mari: So what should we do?

Itami: I think she should come along with us as a refugee.

Y/n: That's a good idea,but dont you guys think that she might be in a trauma if she wakes up?

Mari: There's a highly possible chance yes...

Itami: That's going to be a problem. Waking up only to remember that her village was burned down and her people killed in the fire.

Mari: Well,apparently it's common in this world.

Y/n: Really? But I guess it's a fantasy world where monsters in the RPG games are real here.

Itami: You play games?

Y/n: Yeah? I'm a geek okay...

Itami: At last...

Y/n: Hm? At last what?

Itami: I finally found someone that is the same as me!

Itami runs to hug Y/n,but he suddenly trips and falls to Y/n,but before they could make impact Y/n moved out of the way.

Itami:...Oof! Why didn't you catch me?

Y/n: To be honest... I think it was my instinct-

Itami: Your instinct sucks!

Itami gets up has he wipes the dust and dirt off him.

Takeo: We should probably gather the others and head out.

Itami: Yeah, we should take the road through Coda Village to reach Camp.

Mari: Then I guess I'll get the supplies ready...

Itami: Please do...Okay Team! Move Out!
