DESCRIPTION

Maeve Richardson is passionately panicking, unsure if she's falling for her co-star or just fangirling. As she and her friend, Ricky, land leading roles, her summer fling unexpectedly returns. While struggling with her summer fling showing up and pretending to fall for her co-star, Maeve questions the line between real and acting, eventually realizing who is her true love and that she's never been acting at all.  

SUMMARY 

Maeve Richardson is starting her senior year of high school, a time that many say is the easiest, but for her, it's anything but that. With her best friend Tabitha off at college, Maeve is left feeling the weight of her future more than ever. She's always loved theater and is thrilled to land a leading role in the fall play alongside her close friend Ricky, but the pressure of senior year and college applications starts to build. Maeve begins to question her path, unsure of what comes next after high school.

Just when things couldn't get more complicated, her summer fling, Zander, from theater camp unexpectedly shows up out of the blue, shaking up her world. Maeve finds herself stuck in a love triangle—torn between her growing feelings for Ricky, her co-star, and the unresolved emotions that Zander's return stirs up. On stage, she pretends to fall in love with Ricky's character, but backstage, the lines between acting and reality start to blur.

As she navigates her role in the play and the conflicting emotions between Ricky and Zander, Maeve begins to wonder if she's just acting or if her feelings for Ricky are real. Caught between the past and the present, Maeve eventually realizes who her true love is, and that all along, she's never been acting at all.

NOTES

-i had planned for a love triangle to happen between maeve's summer fling zander who's from north high & is a year older than her but you can decide if the whole love triangle things happens or not!! (milo manheim is zander's fc too)

-the plot is very much inspired by the song never really acting at all by melina kb (highly suggest to go check it out its so good in my opinion)

-this goes along with my ej caswell fic parachute, maeve is tabitha's best friend so if you need anymore info or have any questions about that just lmk
