I was sitting in my room. I've been in there for days. Aphmau and Cadenza check up on me a lot, but I never answer their questions, or speak a word. I couldn't. Not after seeing... seeing my worst fear. I had seen someone, someone at the baby shower. They were sprinting to the woods. I chased them at first, but I lost them. Then, I turned the corner and there it was. My worst nightmare. But it wasn't a nightmare, it was real. Laurence and Aphmau were kissing.

What should I do? I might as well go to Zane, and face whatever fate he has in store for me. There is no point now. Aphmau was basically what made me keep fighting. What made me keep working, keep thinking. But now... now that courage is gone. Just like my dreams of Aphmau and I, finally having the life together I have always wanted. Wait... what's that noise? Is that my communication amulet? Aphmau could be in trouble! I have to answer it!

"H-hello?" I asked shakily. "Garroth! Oh thank notch your okay!" She replied. Well at least she still cares about me. "Yep.. I'm fine.." I lie. Should I tell her what I know she has been hiding from me. Wait- why would she hide that from me? Does she know I have feelings for her? "Great! I'm just so happy that you answered I could just... I could just kiss you!" She said, clearly joking, but the word kiss made me flinch. "What symptoms are you having? How do you feel?" She asked me. "Uh.. I'm not sick.." I said. I could almost see the confused look on her face. "What do you mean? Why haven't you..?" Her words drifted off. I sigh. "I-I uh.. saw what you have been doing.. going to the woods and.." I almost couldn't bring myself to say it out loud- "and kissing Laurence. I saw you guys the night of the baby shower." "Uh.. Garroth? I would never, I repeat NEVER, sneak off to the woods to kiss Laurence. Especially not when I could be at Kiki's baby shower!"

"But- but I saw you and him out there-- how could I--" This was insane. I know I saw them. I know I did. "Erm.. Garroth? Even if I did kiss him, why would you care so much?" She asked me a dreaded question. "Aphmau... can you come here. To my room?" I said. If I was gonna tell her this, I was gonna do it in person.

~ After she arrived ~

"Aphmau... I have... I-I..." I stuttered. Her eyebrows furrowed. "Go on..?" She said. "I don't know how to tell you this, so I'm gonna say it fast, like ripping of a band aid." I told her. "I've loved you ever since you first came to this village." Aphmau looked shocked. Utterly, shocked. "R-really?" She asked, barely above a whisper. I nod. "Yes." As soon as that word came out of my mouth, she reached over and kissed me. We were kissing! She, Lady Aphmau, the woman I have wanted to kiss for so long, kissed me! She pulled away. "Was.. uh.. was that too soon?" She asked, chuckling. "What's so funny?" I asked. "Your blushing, Garroth." She said, smirking. I pulled her into a kiss, even though I could feel myself blushing harder than ever.

This is the best feeling ever.
