Aphmau and her best friend Garroth were walking along the sidewalk, taking in the sites of the city at night.

"Don't you just love Phoenix Drop?" Garroth asked Aphmau, staring up at the tall illuminating buildings.

"Yeah, it's really great...."

Aphmau was too preoccupied by the nerves dancing in her stomach. She had something very important to tell her best friend.

"Garroth—"

He pulled Aphmau's hand. "Come on, let's go to the garden. It's quiet there."

They walked there together, and soon enough they stood in front of an array of beautiful red flowers.

"So you were saying?"

Aphmau took a deep breath.

Here goes....

"So um, you know how we've been friends for a really long time?"

"Best friends, Aphmau."

"Right, best friends...." Aphmau corrected herself. "Well, you know how close we've gotten and—"

"Oh that reminds me... I wanted your advice about something." Garroth said.

Aphmau sighed as Garroth explained his recent dilema with anbeautiful girl he knew and had grown to love.

"So should I go?"

"Well um, I think you should do what your heart tells you to do, you know?" Aphmau said.

"My heart—?"

Aphmau nodded. "Yes, your heart always knows what's good for you, and who's gonna be right for you, and who you care about and who you don't care, you know?"

As Garroth listened confused, Aphmau continued.

"And if your heart is screaming at you to go on that date, or tell that person how you feel you should do it, you know?!"

Garroth raised an eyebrow. "Um, Aphmau...."

"Your heart is always gonna tell you what to do and what the right thing is and even if you don't know, you should know because your heart is telling you to do it, you know?!"

"Um, I don't know—"

"GARROTH I LOVE YOU!"

Aphmau gasped and clasped her hands around her mouth.

Garroth's eyes opened wide. "Um, what?"

Aphmau slowly pulled her hands away from her mouth. "I love you...."

With a smile, Garroth took Aphmau's hand, pressing his lips against it.

     "I know."

     ".... You know?"

Garroth nodded before placing his hand under her chin and closing the gap between their lips.
