Pomni tells Garfield about her story/The Proposal
(Garfield and Pomni were getting to know each other inside the windmill.)
Pomni: You mean the reason you agreed on Koopa's quest to 'rescue me' is to save your home in the forest?
Garfield: From a bunch of unwanted cartoon, comic, video game, and book squatters. You try having to put up with a bunch of unwanted guests. It's nearly impossible.
Pomni: Well, I think I know the feeling.
Garfield: Still, I'm at least glad that I got to meet you through this quest. And gotten to know more about you by the looks of it.
Pomni: I'm glad I got to meet you and know you through this quest, too, Garfield.
Garfield: So, how did your whole jester curse get started, anyway?
Pomni:
Pomni: Well, Garfield... It's a long story.
Garfield:
(Then, it went up to a bright full moon in the sky before it showed Pomni taking a footstep on a puddle reflecting the full moon as she narrated all while a certain fortune teller was magically levitating and showing the following cards, "The Birth", "The Curse", "The Jester", "The Secret", "The Tower", "The Mission", and "The Witch" before they were shown to be levitating and then placed back in the hands of who appeared to be a fortune teller.)
Fortune Teller: In the cards, a tale is told of a time not too past, when in Las Vegas, there came into the world a princess named Pomni. But the occasion was not exactly the joyous of her parents dreamed of. For, to their horror, not long after she was born, a witch cast a spell on her, transforming her into a jester. Grievously worried for their child and with no other alternative to ensure panic does not erupt within the kingdom long enough for them to find a permanent solution for Pomni's curse, they locked her away from the eyes of the outside world and appointed a demon lady to guard her. The parents told their subjects that Pomni was such a rare beauty that she was stolen away. And so, Pomni went to the deep woods. All to seek... the aid of...
(Pomni was shown to be venturing off into a campfire before finally arriving.)
Pomni: Dama Fortuna?
Dama: Are you certain this is the course you wish to follow?
Pomni: Yes...! I mean, look at me! I'm a princess! I'm supposed to be beautiful and live Happily Ever After.
Dama: All right, then. Which shall it be? Beauty? Or Happily Ever After? Choose which spell.
(Dama said, gesturing to the two potions on her shelf, respectively marked "BEAUTY" and "HAPPILY EVER AFTER".)
Pomni: If I'm beautiful..., I can find my own Happily Ever After.
(So, she picked the Beauty potion and she drank it. After which, she coughed, having drunk the potion too fast. After clearing her throat a little, she held out a little hand mirror, but the moment she picked it up and looked into it, the mirror suddenly shattered.)
Pomni: No! It didn't work! I'm still silly!
Dama: Hold on! With magic, there is always a catch.
Pomni: What catch is there?
Dama: When the sun rises this morning, you will be beautiful.
(Hearing this gave her some hope.)
Pomni: Really?
Dama: Yes. BUT! Come sunrise, you will transform back to this natural form. And so, it shall be - - until you find your one true love.
Pomni: Find my one true love... How hard could that be?
(So, Pomni ventured off into the woods yet again.)
Dama: Good luck, Princess. You're going to need it.
(After a moment, as she ran, she heard a footsteps from nearby, spooking her. When she turned, she saw Vaggie behind her, before Vaggie grabs Pomni.)
Pomni: Ahh!
(Vaggie picked Pomni up and flew away, en route back to the tower.)
(Then, it went back to the present.)
Pomni: And then she took me to the tower. And ever since I was there waiting for the one person to come and rescue me and break this curse.
Garfield: Wow, that is a lot to take in.
Pomni: Yeah, it is.
(Pomni said before the both of them started laughing and then they hugged each other.)
[SpongeBob is asleep. Garfield and Pomni are asleep as well. Unbeknownst to them, the sun rises, and as the sun crests the sky, Pomni turns back into a human, her ears, skin color, and nose returning to normal. After a moment, both Garfield and Pomni wake up, the latter yawning.]
Garfield: Well? Looks like it's morning.
Pomni: Yeah. It is.
[Garfield and Pomni overhear a group approaching from inside the windmill.]
Garfield: And he's here.
[Garfield and Pomni go outside. Pomni stands with her mouth wide open. Lord Koopa arrives on horseback, appearing taller than usual, along with an escort of koopa troopas. SpongeBob wakes up with a yawn as the guards march by.]
SpongeBob: What'd I miss? What'd I miss?
[One of the koopa troopas looms over him, and he begins to scurry away, muttering to himself.]
SpongeBob: Who said that? Couldn't have been a sponge.
[Lord Koopa stops his horse in front of Pomni.]
Lord Koopa: Princess Pomni.
Garfield: As promised. Now, let's have it.
Lord Koopa: Very well, tabby. The deed to your forest, cleared out, as agreed. Take it and go before I change my mind.
Garfield: A man of your word, aren't ya?
[Garfield snatches the deed out of the hands of a koopa troopa and steps away by a few steps while Pomni turns her attention to the once-long-awaited Lord Koopa.]
Lord Koopa: Forgive me, Princess, for startling you, but you startled me—for I have never seen such a radiant beauty before. I am Lord Koopa.
Pomni: Lord Koopa? Oh, no, no. Forgive me, my lord, for I was just saying a short...
[Lord Koopa then land his feet. Left behind on the horse is a large set of gauntlets and a pair of leg extenders that reached down to the stirrups, which made him look so tall on the saddle. Koopa is then set down in front of her. Her look turns from nervousness to bemusement as she snickers slightly, trying not to laugh.]
Pomni: ...farewell.
Lord Koopa: Oh, that is so sweet. You don't have to waste good manners on the cat. It's not like it has feelings.
[Pomni turns to Garfield, who turns to her and then does a pose as if he is putting his hand on Koopa, making Pomni snicker.]
Garfield: Well, I don't know. It's hard not to understand the fact that he had so much to do in such a... 'short' time.
[Garfield laughs to himself from hearing this while SpongeBob watches this exchange with a curious look on his face until he realizes something.]
SpongeBob: Ohhh.
Lord Koopa: (Rolls his eyes, before looking at Pomni) Princess Pomni, beautiful, fair, flawless Pomni. I ask your hand in marriage.
[Lord Koopa gets down on one knee and takes Pomni's hand, pulling her down sharply.]
Lord Koopa: Will you be the perfect bride for the perfect groom?
[Pomni makes eye contact with Garfield before he nods worriedly.]
Pomni: Lord Koopa, I accept. Nothing would make-
Lord Koopa: Excellent! I'll start the plans, for tomorrow we wed!
Pomni: No!
[Garfield spins back around with a hopeful look on his face while Pomni tries to regain her composure.]
Pomni: I mean-ah, why wait? Let's get married today. Before sunset.
[Sadly, Garfield turns and walks away.]
Lord Koopa: Oh, anxious, are we? You're right. The sooner, the better. There's so much to do!
[Excited, Lord Koopa went back onto his horse by his guard. Koopa troopas offers Pomni assistance, but she climbs up onto the saddle on her own.]
Lord Koopa: There's the caterer, the cake, the band, the guest list. Mouser, round up some guests!
[Pomni, Lord Koopa, and his koopa troopas set off towards Duloc. Pomni turns to Garfield and gives him one last loving look.]
Pomni: Fare thee well, cat.
Garfield: Fare thee well..., princess.
Pomni: And remember... "They're also great in crisp. Now, I don't mean to brag, but I make a cheddar grilled cheese sandwich." (chuckles)
[Garfield chuckles at this, before SpongeBob catches up to Garfield as he is walking away.]
SpongeBob: Garfield, what are you doing? You're letting her get away!
Garfield: Look, SpongeBob. It's for the best. Pomni gets her true love's kiss and we keep each other safe. Everybody wins.
[As much as SpongeBob understood that Pomni wanted to keep Garfield safe, having been told so himself last night, he still couldn't help but feel that this isn't right.]
SpongeBob: Except for you. I don't get it Garfield, you haven't say you love Pomni.
Garfield: I know but... that's why I have to let her go.
[Without another word, Garfield walks away.]
SpongeBob: That cut me real deep, Garfield. That cut me really deep. (Following Garfield)
