Later, the three were on moving platforms, heading to the crosstown station.

Station Announcer said "Cross-town express to Foundry District with stops at Bigweld Industries and Battery Park only. Please tighten all spools, nuts, bolts and detachable appendages. Riders with high oil pressure are advised to take the local. Thank you and have a nice day."

The three get scooped up into one half of a ball, which attaches to another half with a sleeping Fender and Jax. As the ball rises on a conveyor belt, Fender and Jax fall over Rodney, Garfield, and Odie, who tries to push them away.

Fender and Jax said while sleeping "No, no." Fender and Jax falls over spooking the three and then wake up "Say, are you following us?"

Rodney and Garfield replied "No."

Jax asked "First time on the cross-town express?"

Rodney replied "Well, actually, we..."

Fender said "Oh, boy. Good luck in the big city. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. And if you can't make it here, welcome to the club."

The ball arrives on top of a moving wheel as we get a magnificent look at Robot City. The three were amazed.

Fender said "Oh, no."

Rodney asked "What? What is it?"

Fender exclaimed "We're going off the track. We're gonna crash!"

Rodney asked "What?"

Fender said "I don't wanna die."

The ball falls down and they all start screaming. Then, the ball lands in a catapult.

Fender fixed his head then chuckled "I was just kidding."

Odie sighed in relief.

Jax said quickly "Just put your head between your legs."

Rodney, Garfield, Odie asked "Huh?"

The catapult then launches the ball through the air.

The three screamed.

Fender cheered "Yeah!"

They flew through some moving holes.

Fender said "There goes our stop." The ball drops down into a chute, rides down some curved paths, and lands inside a launcher. The three were in poses that looked uncomfortable. One of Fender's eyes falls out of the ball.

Fender picks up his eye "I tell you, the things that fall off me... " he puts it back on him "It's embarrassing."

The launcher blasts them off through some tunnels and down a road full of other transport balls. The ball jumps off a ramp and lands on the side of a rotating wheel.

Fender throws up "Sorry."

Jax said "Yeesh."

The wheel runs down the path and stops in the middle of a rise. The three were dizzy.

Fender said "You know, it used to be a lot worse."

Jax said "They had this giant hammer..." Garfield yelped. Fender and Jax see the giant hammer coming "Oh, they brought it back."

The hammer slams into them and the ball lands in a spinning pod while the five robots tilted and tumbled inside. Soon, the ball slides down a small ramp and a stopper taps the top, which splits the ball apart. Making Rodney, Garfield and Odie fall dodging the suitcases.

Fender said "Stick with us, guys. We know this town like the back of my hand. Hey, that's new."

Garfield asked "Uh, guys?"

Fender and Jax asked "Yes?"

Garfield replied "Hammer."!

The giant hammer swings by and whacks Fender and Jax through the city.

Jax shouted "THANKS FOR WARNING US!"

Rodney then noticed that they were close to the entrance to Bigweld Industries. They run over and stare at the front gate in awe. The motto was there on the gate. YOU CAN SHINE NO MATTER WHAT YOU'RE MADE OF, it read.

Tim said "Yoo-hoo! Excuse me. Can I help you?"

Rodney said "Sorry, I..." he recognizes the gatekeeper "hey! You're Tim from the TV show!"

Tim said "That's me."

Rodney said "Well, hey, Tim. Who closed the gate? It's never supposed to be..."

Tim asked "Yeah, okay, what do you want?"

Rodney said "We'd like to see Mr. Bigweld. We're inventors."

He quickly shows Wonderbot to Tim.

Tim said "Well, why didn't you say so? Stand back."

Tim opens the gate; Rodney stares in amazement at what he sees.

Rodney said "Thanks."

Then the three start to go in, but the door suddenly closes.

Rodney asked "WHAT?!"

Tim laughed "I gotcha! Y'see, because you were all excited, and then BOOM!" He laughs again; Rodney glares "Alright, I had my laugh. Go on in."

The three robots resume their entry before the door closes again.

Rodney shouted "Whoa ... hey!"

Tim laughed hysterically "Now, that's funny! A second time! What?! You really think I'm gonna let you all in! But I'm not. Sorry, guys. Nobody gets in. Company rules."

Garfield asked "Company ru...? Well, then how do they hire new inventors?"

Tim replied "They don't. Those days are over. My advice: Come back two years ago. Then the job is yours." He laughed hysterically.

Rodney, Garfield, and Odie look up at Bigweld Industries as the camera pans in closer on the building.
