It cuts to a high school yearbook, we see Rodney's photo... dressed in a woman's shirt. However, he did get rid of it during graduation. Rodney, Garfield and Odie,  became adults and Rodney's parents were proud of his graduation. Many more years passed, and they were now working in Rodney's father's workplace. One bot serves lunch to a robot with a vacuum nozzle nose.

Vacuum Nose Bot said "Thanks."

He sucks up his lunch with his nozzle nose. As Rodney, Garfield and Odie, arrived at the kitchen with some dirty dishes, they find Rodney's father putting duct tape on his machine.

Herb said "Oh, hey. Hey. Soon as you reach the age where your warranty expires, you start falling apart. Pretty soon there's gonna be more duct tape than me."

Rodney asked "Can we try it now, Dad?"

Rodney held up the wonderbot.

Herb asked "Oh, boys... Have you worked all the kinks out of it?"

Garfield said "Come on, this is gonna make your job easy."

Rodney said "And we invented it for you."

Herb looked at the mountain of dishes then sighed.

Herb said "Okay. Let's try it."

Rodney said "Great." He said to the Wonderbot "Okay, this is it." Wonderbot turned on "Wonderbot, go to work."

And so, the Wonderbot got to work. Making two workers duck, Garfield and Odie ducked when it flew by them. Wonderbot grabs some dirty plates and puts them in Herb's machine. They were amazed. They then emerge clean and shiny, and the invention drops them in some chutes.

Kitchen Worker cheered "Yeah, yeah."

Garfield cheered "sweet!"

Odie barked in amazement.

Wonderbot puts some more plates in Herb's machine and drops some pots, pans, and utensils in the sink taking the spoon the worker had in his hand.

Kitchen Worker 2 shouted "Hey!"

The dishes come out of the machine and Garfield holds some out as Odie throws some plates at Wonderbot, who twirls them around and throws them in chutes. Herb was proud of the work that the machine was working on. Soon after having a coffee and metal donut break, the invention manages to get the job done. Suddenly, Mr. Gunk bursts in.

Mr. Gunk shouted "Mr. Copperbottom!"

This scares the Wonderbot out of its circuits.

Herb said "Mr. Gunk." Rodney, Garfield and Odie tried to calm it down.

Mr. Gunk asked "What is that?"

Herb said "Oh, that. My son made it."

Mr. Gunk asked "What's it doing?"

Garfield and Odie grabbed it.

Garfield said "We got it!"

Rodney said "Mr. Gunk, please, you're making it nervous."

The Wonderbot then flies around and destroys some plates. Tossing Garfield and Odie into a wall making their body parts and head bounce due to the springs.

Mr. Gunk said "It's wrecking my kitchen!" He grabs an axe "I'll stop it."

Rodney shouted "No!" He jumps out and grabs Mr. Gunk by the foot, making the boss trip into a vat of oil.

Mr. Gunk coughed as he gets out of the oil "Your son, huh?"

Rodney said "It wasn't his fault. He had nothing to do with it."

Herb said "Yes, sir, he's a brilliant boy. An inventor." Wonderbot shrunk down in fear. Garfield and Odie fixed their heads.

Mr. Gunk said to Herb "You, clean up this mess." Then he said to Rodney "And, you, get out. Inventor. You're the hand-me-down son of a dishwasher, and that's all you'll ever be. Somebody scrape this crud off of me. And serve it to the customers." Herb looks down sadly, while Rodney glares. He was going to prove to Gunk that he is an inventor... by going to Robot City.
