Meanwhile in his office, Ratchet was getting his back massaged by a beautiful massage robot.

Ratchet said "Oh, yeah. I have never felt so relaxed. Say, do you mind giving me a little scratch between the shoulder blades? There you..." he then feels something scratching his back "Easy, tiger. Hey! Take it easy. Hey, what are you trying to do, kill me?"

He gets up, only to find madam Gasket instead of his massage robot.

Ratchet screamed "Aaaah!"

Madame Gasket said "Relax. It's me, your mommy."

Ratchet asked "How did you get in here?

Madame Gasket replied "I came up the air shaft. I know you don't like anybody here to see me."

Ratchet was shocked to see a big hole in the wall.

Ratchet asked "Well, what do you want?"

Madame Gasket replied "Someone's fixing them."

Ratchet asked "What?"

Madame Gasket replied "Someone and his pet are repairing outmodes....and they are laughing at you!"

Ratchet asked "Who? And are you sure they're not laughing with me?"

Madame Gasket was silent for a moment then replied "Yes."

Ratchet asked "So what if one crazy fanatic repairs a few outmodes? Who cares?"

Madame Gasket replied "Think. Use those brains I stole for you. Today, it's one. What about tomorrow, when everybody gets the idea this is okay? "We can fix ourselves. We don't need upgrades. We want Bigweld." Then what happens to you?"

Ratchet said "Okay, okay. Take it easy. We've got to find out who they are and stop them."

Madame Gasket said "Not stop them, crush them, destroy them. And by the way, I brought you a little something for your desk."  She hands him a portrait of herself with a quote saying, "World's Best Mom." Ratchet was a bit unsure about this.

Back in Aunt Fanny's house, everyone else was tired, Rodney, Garfield, and Odie poured hot grease on their backs and sighed.

Garfield asked "Is there anyone else waiting?"

Fender and Jax replied "Let us look."

Jax and Fender look out the window to see a lot of robots waiting outside. They gasped in shock.

Jax said "A few."

Garfield asked ""A few"?"

Ragatha said "What did you expect, guys? Bigweld was gone. Sweepers were on the loose, but then came Copperbottom."

Kinger laughed

Kinger said "I'm getting all static-y just thinking about it."

Rodney said "We're not Bigweld."

Garfield said "These robots need parts."

A mailbox robot arrives in the house.

Mailbox Bot said "Mail call. Mail call. Garfield and Copperbottom, this one's from your mom." Rodney took the letter.

Fender asked "Oh, is there anything for me?"

Jax asked "And for me too?"

Mailbox Bot replied "Oh, I got something for both of you." He slaps them both making their heads spin "That's from my sister."

Fender said dizzyingly "I recognize the handwriting."

Jax said dizzyingly "Me too."

Rodney looks at the letter and has a solemn look on his face.

Piper asked "Is anything wrong?"

Fender said "I'll say." He looks at the letter "His father's got one foot in the junkyard and if they can't find new parts for him, he's only got a few miles left."

Ragatha asked "Rodney, are you really worried about your dad?"

Aunt Fanny asked "Do you wanna go home?"

Rodney replied "Well, if we go home, I still can't help him. We're out of parts."

Garfield said "We've gotta get to Bigweld. He's the only one that can fix this."

Soon, Wonderbot bursts in.

Piper said "He's trying to tell us something."

Ragatha asked "What is it, boy? What's wrong?"

The Wonderbot forms a few shapes. Bigweld, an arrow, and then he dances.

Ragatha said "Bigweld...is going... dancing."

Wonderbot gets out a poster for the Bigweld Ball.

Aunt Fanny said "Of course, the Bigweld Ball. You can't have the Bigweld Ball without Bigweld."

Garfield said "Well, that's it, then. Me, Odie and Rodney are going to the Bigweld Ball."

Rodney said "That's right."

Crank asked "What?"

Cat said "That's the fanciest party of the year."

Dog said "You'll never get past the gate."

Gangle thought for a moment then something popped into her head "Oh, I have an idea!"
