The others walked back to the lake. Marty said "What have I done? This is a nightmare! And it's all my fault. Now, because of me, we've lost Alex."

Melman asked "Well, what are we going to do?"

Gloria said "We'll find a way to help him. That's what we'll do."

Melman said "Oh! OK."

Gloria said "Come on, we are New Yorkers, right?"

Marty said "Yeah."

Gloria said "We're tough. We're gritty."

Marty said "Yeah!"

Gloria said "We're adaptable!"

Marty said "Yeah!!"

Gloria said "And we are not going to lay down like a bunch of Melmans!"

Melman said "No, we're not." They heard a fog horn "Oh. Garfield."

Garfield said "That was not me, OK? That was the boat. The boat!"

Marty said "The boat? The boat's come back for us! Come on, guys, we got to flag it down."

Marty, Garfield, Vic, odie, Melman and Gloria race to the beach where they saw the boat.

Marty said "There it is!

Melman said "Hey, over here!"

Vic said "Over here!"

Gloria said "Melman, give me a lift. Hurry up! Lift me up!"

Gloria said "Look! It's turning! It's coming back! It's coming back! It's coming back!"

Melman said "Yes! This way! Come on! Come on, baby! WHOO!! Yes, you guys!"

Marty said "You guys flag down that boat. I'll go get Alex."

Garfield stopped Marty by holding his tail "Whoa! Hold on there. You cannot go back there by yourself."

Marty said "Aw, come on. I know Alex. He hears we're rescued, he'll snap right out of it."

Melman said "The people are coming. They can help us."

Gloria said "Melman's right. The people will know what to do. Now, come on. We got to flag down that boat."

The boat got close then it landed. The penguins land on the beach.

Skipper said "Now, this is more like it."

Gloria said "You?! Oh, ma... Where are the people?"

Skipper said "We killed them and ate their livers." Gloria looks shocked "Got you, didn't I? Just kidding, doll, the people are fine. They're on a slow lifeboat to China. Hey, I know you two. Where's that psychotic lion and our monochromatic friend?"

Melman said "Marty? He's right...." they realized Marty was gone "Where did he go? He was right behind us."

Gloria groaned "He went back for Alex. He's going to get himself killed!"

Skipper said "Well, boys, our monochromatic friend's in danger. Looks like we have a job to do." Private wrote things down with a crayon "Captain's log: Embarking into hostile environment. Kowalski. We'll need to win hearts and the minds of the natives. Rico. We'll need special tactical equipment. We're gonna face extreme peril. Private probably won't survive." Private looked up shocked as the crayon snapped.

Marty went to the territory of the fossa's "Alex! Come out, Alex! The boat's here! We can go home!"

Zoo Patrons said "Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex!"

Marty said "Alex! Alex."

Alex asked "Marty?"

Marty said "Snap out of it, Alex. The boat came back. We can get out of here. We can go back to civilization, and everything will be just like it used to be."

Alex said "Stay back. Please. I'm a monster."

Marty said "Alex, you're no monster. You're my friend. We're a team. You and me, remember?"

Alex tried to attack Marty but the zebra scuttle back away from the crazed lion.

Alex said "I don't want to hurt you."

Marty said "Alex. I ain't leaving without you. Alex? I'm thinking of a song. It's a wonderful song. I'm sure you're familiar with it. ♪ Start spreadin' the news I'm leaving today We are a great big part of it ♪ Come on, you know the words. Two little words. Please don't make me sing this by myself. You really don't want to hear me sing this by myself."

The fossa appeared from above the rocks

Marty said "Uh, Alex? Could you come out here for a minute? Hey, Alex, a l-l-little help. AAH!!! HELP ME!!! ALEX!! HEEEELLLPPP!!!!!!!" Alex began to snap out of it, and The Fossas started to chase Marty "Help me!! Anybody, help me!! Somebody!!" The Foosas are using salt on Marty's Butt "Ah! HEEEELLLPPP!!!!!!!"

As the Fossa made a dog pile to eat Marty, Melman is swinging on a vine while doing a Tarzan Yell to save Marty.

Marty asked "Melman?"

Melman said "That's right, baby." They both crashed into the rock.

Gloria shouted "Run!"

They ran away. Marty asked "What's the plan?"

Gloria said "This is the plan!"

Fossa said "Fossa hungry. Fossa eat."

Marty asked "This is the plan?!"

Skipper said "Fossa halt!"

Fossa asked "Huh?" Skipper fires the gun of the red light "Ooh. Fossa aaahh. Fossa ooh. Fossa aaahh." As they were distracted private became the bait.

Private said "Come and get it!"

Fossa asked "Fossa-Huh?" They began fighting the Foosa's.

Gloria said "Take that!"

Fossa screamed "Fossa ow!"

Private said "There's too many of them, Skipper."

Skipper "It's been a real pleasure serving with you boys."

Just then, they hear Alex roaring for preparing to trick the Fossa

Marty asked "Alex?

Alex said "That's my kill! Mine. Alex hungry. Alex eat." He Unleashes his claws when he got close to them he whispers "Psst! It's showtime. Thanks for not giving up on me, Marty."

Marty said "Man, you almost gave me a heart attack. You can't just come sneak up on me. Just because you're a lion..." he said muffled "Let go of me. Let go of me."

Alex said lShh! We're getting out of here. Guys, just go with me on this. Like I said, it's showtime. Rrr! Mine! My kill! Rrahh! They're all mine!" Roars as his gang start to scream

Gloria screamed "Aah! It's the king of the beasts! Oh, no! Aah!"

Garifeld said "Momma! I'm coming!"
Vic whispered "too much."

Marty screamed "Don't eat me, Mr. Lion!"

Odie howled in fear.

Melman screamed "He's scary!"

Alex screamed "Fear me! Savagery beyond comprehension!"

Marty screamed "I am far too young to die!"

Melman screamed "You're a monster! A monster, I say!"

Alex said "And, you!"

Fossa said "Me?!"

Gloria said "Oh, you want some of this?" She grunted when she was adjusted "You better run for your lives!"

Marty said "Somebody call a cop!

Melman screamed "He's psychotic!"

Alex said "This is my territory!! Understand?! I never, ever want to see you on my turf again!" Roaring to scare all Fossas "Boo." They ran in fear.

Marty cheered as they hugged "Yeah! You the cat!"

Gloria said "Got my boy back!"

King Julien said "Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! I did it! Give me some love! The plan worked! The plan worked! I'm very clever! I'm the one, baby! Come on. Time to robot! I am very clever king. I am super genius. I am robot king of the monkey things. Compute, compute."

Alex asked "So, what's for lunch?" The lot got scared.

Skipper said "Close those eyes."

Alex asked "Why do I have to close my eyes?"

Skipper said "Do it."

Alex said closing his eyes "Yeah. They're closed."

Skipper said "Tighter."

Alex said "Yes, sir."

Skipper said "No peeking."
Alex said "Alright. They're closed."

Skipper said "Rico."

Rico said "Hai." He prepared sushi then he tossed one to Skipper.

Skipper caught it. Skipper said "Open that hatch."

Alex opened his mouth "Aah..."

Skipper said "Fire in the hole." He put the sushi in Alex's mouth. Alex chewed "Now chew. Chew like you mean it. Savor it."

Alex said "Mmm... Mmm."

Marty asked "And?"

Gloria asked "Well?"

Melman asked "Pretty good, right?"

Garfield asked "Yeah?"

King Julien said holding Mort "There's always Plan B."

Mort said "Ha-ha-ha."

Alex said "Mmm. Mmm! This is better than steak! I love it. I love it!"

Skipper said "The kitty loves the fishy."

Marty said "Well, I propose a toast. Now, he may be a pain in the butt at times... And trust me, I know. But this cat proved to me without a doubt that his heart is bigger than his stomach. To Alex."

Everyone cheered "To Alex!" They drank the water, they spat it out,

King Julien said "Enough! Stop it!" He did it back to Maurice.

Marty asked "Well, what do you guys think? Should we head back to New York?"

Alex said "I don't know, Marty. I mean, this is your dream. You sure you want to leave?"

Marty said "I don't care where we are. As long as we're together, it doesn't matter to me."

Alex said "Well, in that case... Yo. Rico. I'll take 300 orders to go."

Rico said "Hai."

King Julien said "Yes, yes. But before you leave, I have an announcement to make. So shut up, everyone, please. Thank you. After much deep and profound brain things inside my head, I have decided to thank you for bringing peace to our home. And to make you feel good, I'm gonna give you this lovely parting gift." He gave Alex his crown.

Alex said "No, I couldn't. Really, I can't take your crown."

King Julien said "That's OK, I've got a bigger crown." He put on a bigger crown "It's got a gecko on it. Look at him shake. Go, Stevie, go!"

It showed the crew on the boat.

Alex said "Bye, little fuzzbuckets!"

Gloria said "Thanks for everything!"

Garfield said "Goodbye!"

Vic said "Bye!"

Marty said "Bye!"

Alex said "So long!"

King Julien said "Okay, bye-bye, now."

Marty said "Arrivederci."

King Julien said "Bye-bye."

Maurice said "Toodle-oo!"

Mort said "Bye! Goodbye!"

King Julien said "See you later, crocodile. Maurice, my arm is tired. Wave it for me." Maurice waved for Julien "Faster, you naughty little monkey!"

Alex said "You know, by the time we get to New York, it's gonna be the middle of winter. So I was just thinking, why rush? Maybe we could make a few side stops along the way?"

Marty said "Maybe Paris."

Gloria said "Ooh! You just read my mind."

Alex said "I was thinking Spain."

Marta said "Yeah. Run with the bulls."

Garfield said "Ooh Italy!" 

Gloria asked "What about Fiji?"

Melman said "Ooh! Canada. Can we? Cheap meds. Eh?"

Alex said "You know, I wouldn't even mind coming back here sometime."

Melman said "Yeah, I could do that."

Gloria said "You could say that again."

Private asked as they were red from sunbathing "Skipper, don't you think we should tell them that the boat's out of gas?"

Skipper said "Nah. Just smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave."
