"I'll never let you go."
"I'll never let you go, love." But that's exactly what you did. You whispered your sweet nothings into my ear. You wrapped me in your blanket of deception and tied me up in your web of lies. "I'll never let you go." He said as he walked out of the door. Unbeknownst to me, he wasn't coming back. Maybe he didn't lie; after all, he didn't let me go, he dropped me. He purposely let me fall. He brought me up high when I was low, just to watch me crash down again. With the wings of an angel and the horns of a demon, you had just the right disguise to lure me in and devour me. You smiled your innocent smile at me, but I was to naive to see that dangerous flash within those beautiful eyes of yours. And unfortunately for me, that innocence and naivety would be my downfall. My inability to see you for who you truly are would lead to depression, loneliness, and a closed off heart. You left me with a heavy January heart, yet I still couldn't help but to live you.
