Carefully she peeked through the weeds, searching for what made a sound just a moment ago. She didn't want anymore rabbits eating up the plants. Instead of the sight of a cute fluffy creature munching on some lettuce leaves, the young girl was granted something more fearful.

There was a man in her garden. And this man, was buried under the roots. Obviously, the first thing Holly did, was scream.

The girl jumped back, landing in the dirt, with the feeling of her eyes bulging out their sockets. Birds in the distant trees flew off into the sky, becoming frightened themselves. The guy was laying, half submerged in the dirt and was tangled in the roots. They bounded his body into the Earth and clawed over his face. It was clear that he had been in there for a long time, but the thing that scared her the most was that he didn't look dead.

His skin, though very dusty and slathered in the dark dirt, had color to it. His cheeks were pink too, as if bothered by the beginning of Autumn air. Holly hushed her voice, as it wasn't doing much of anything besides hurting her vocal chords. She inched towards him on the ground, her hands trembling more with each second's pass. Shortly she had reached the body cautiously.

For a second, her mind had stopped, trying to get her to think about what she was doing. It was a stupid idea, going anywhere near the mysterious person that could actually be dangerous. She lifted up her hand, and lifted it to his neck, searching for a pulse. Though as soon as she made contact with his skin, the body lurched.

He was awake.
