Nataski and his girlfriend Selena walked out of the movie theater. They always did on Friday nights. However, he didn't know how different tonight would be. It was the same for the most part, but Selena hadn't been acting like herself. Nataski didn't question it, he saw it happen between his brother Nyru and Kai sometimes. Perhaps she's just goin' through a phase. 

     They got on his car and drove back to her house so he could drop her off. The only thing that had sometimes worried Nyru was where she lived. Selena lived on Crow Drive, a rougher part of the city, where a lot of gang violence was. Granted, he was a Starwolf, which was a bit of a family-based gang. Difference was, he never had a gun or drugs on him, just his smarts. Selena knew that, so she always stayed close until she got inside.

     "Hey babe?" She asked, turning the block to her house.

     "Yes?" Nataski replied.

     "We need to talk..."Selena said, brushing her long fur out of her eyes.

     "Why? What happened?" He asked sincerely.

     "I don't know how to put this...But I..." The wolf stumbled. "I'm leaving."

     "Well, yeah, ya goof. Can't live in my car forever. Or my house. It'd drive my dad up a wall. He already cares for Kai, Nyru, and I. Not including their new friend Aris who comes over on weekends." Nataski joked.

     "Not just physically, Nataski. I mean, yeah, but that's not the point." Selena groaned. "I don't think that this is working anymore with the fact I moving in a week. Plus, there is a new boy I meet named Christian. He's not bad or anything."

     "Wait. Y..you're saying....."Nataski sputtered. "B..But Selena, I'm not bad."

     "I mean he's not a gang member." She said bluntly. "Unlike most of the city."

     "So it's because I'm in a gang? It's a family tie, Selena. I can't just let my family go like that." Nataski cried.

     "I'm not saying it's you!" She yelled. "It's this damn life I'm living. Can't you see? Guns, murder, drugs, it's all around. We can't pretend that our lives are happy-go-lucky. Hell, just an hour ago, they found a leading gang member dead. Head cut off. What if that was you?"

     "At least I try to make life feel that way!" Nataski yelled back, feeling his anger rise.

     "Well don't! Otherwise, it'll just be worse when you finally accept it." Selena shot, kicking his dashboard.

     *Relax, Babe." Nataski said.

     "Says you! All you want is for life to be perfect. But guess what, you half-faggot: It isn't! So unless you find another gang member who could love you for that, don't do it. Because I'm done!" The red wolf shouted, pushing open the door and slamming it.

     Nataski sat there, stunned by what happened. She left me. She left me and isn't coming back. Worst of all, she dragged my sexuality into it. What do I do? Maybe Kai or Nyru will know. He took his car out of drive, ignoring the gunshots only three blocks away. Nataski was thankful, not for what happened, but because he didn't need to worry about coming to this horrid street ever again.

     Or so he thought.....
