'Is he Okay?'
Nataski's POV
Is he fine? What was is that got him so shook up when I noticed his tattoo? I mean, sure, I'm a Starfolf, but he's gotta know that it doesn't matter what he is a part to me. Who am I kidding, I barely know him. And he barely knows me. Nataski thought to himself.
Ever since he was at the coffee shop with Nico, he stayed in his room. Even when his little brother, Nyru came by to ask something, he told him to leave him alone, politely. Nataski wound up getting a bit handsy with himelf, thinking about Nico.
"Goddamn, Nico~" He muttered to himself. He shot up quickly when he heard his door opening.
"Son? Are you ok..ay!" His father asked, shutting the door again when he saw Nataski's shorts on the floor.
"DAD!" He cried, pulling his shorts on quick. "Ye-yeah, I'm fine, but please. Know next time. You know when I close my door that I want some alone time."
His dad sighed. "You're right. Still, go to the bathroom for that, it'll save you the embarrassment if someone walks in. Then you can blame the walk-in on them."
"Oh my God, dad." Nataski replied, rolling his eyes. "Can I ask you something?"
"You did, but I'll allow one more question." His dad joked, turning back to face him.
"W-well. There's this boy that I just met with and...I really like him. But he's seems a bit anxious to talk with me. What would be a good idea to get him to relax a bit and talk?" Nataski admitted. "His name is Dominic, but prefers Nico."
"Nataski, I'd say I should tell you about why we have a forest in our backyard. There is a secret picnic table there, and is a really nice and romantic place to go. Just stay on the path and head straight where the path splits left and right, going off-trail. We have a pole there so you know how to get back. Take him there, maybe he just needs a change of scenery."
Nataski then went to work on making the best food he could. From a few sandwiches to even cooking up some chicken and putting it in a cooler to use as like a deli meat. Can't forget desert. He thought, making a dark chocolate cake soaked in an orange liquor and orange-flavored buttercream. He decided to cut himself a slice quick to try after it was done. Mm! Perfect! Nico'll love this!
Nataski pulled out his phone, dialing Nico's number. He waited impatiently, his tail wagging when he heard the click of him answering.
"Yeah, it's Nico, what do you need?" He said.
"Well, I'd like a quarter-pounder and a chocolate shake with a large fry." Nataski joked, laughing.
"Oh! Nataski, hey. So, did you need something from me?" Nico asked.
"I was wondering if when I come up tonight if you'd want to join me to eat somewhere private. I know a place that few know about and doubt your parents would care about much for you to not go." Nataski explained.
"Oh, okay, sounds good." Nico said. "My dad told me he was working late, so I'd have to make sure to wake myself up anyways. I got a side job me and a few buddies are doing tomorrow."
"Well, if you need, I have space here at my house."
"Did you already forget? We are in rival gangs. We're supposed to not even like each other. Heck, my life and your's are on the line this way. A Lycan would never go into a Starfolf's house unless to go on an absolute Merk spree." Nico reminded Nataski. "Sorry about just up and going out on you like that earlier, also. That other Lycan that was coming in was my father."
"Really? He does look like you." Nataski noted.
"He saw how we were talking, and he told me that he saw how you are a Starfolf."
"And? What did he say?" Nataski pressed, getting a little anxious.
"More what he did. He gave me a slap on the muzzle and threatened to get both of us killed if we met again. That's why I'm so skittish about us being a thing. He is the Lycan leader."
Nataski bent over to pick up his phone when he realized he had dropped it. "Wait, what? Your father is Jericho Magnus? Nico...." Nataski was lost for words. For once, Nataski thought Nico might have been right on this. "I guess then we die."
"Wow, so romantic. Anything else to sweep this big, bad wolf off his feet?" Nico said sarcastically. "Go on, try more."
"It's not trying if I succeed. See you at midnight.~" Nataski replied, hanging up.
"This just got a whole lot more interesting." He heard Nyru say.
"Please don't tell dad. He'd throw a conniption fit if he knew what Nico was." Nataski begged.
"Relax, big bro. Like I'm worried about that. Dad didn't care I was dating Kai, yet here we are." Nyru said, lifting Nataski chin. "If you really love this Nico that much, then dad'll approve him. Even though he's a Lycan. I do."
"How can you approve someone you never met?" Nataski asked.
"Because no other fur has driven you up a wall in smiles this much or given you a rocket that wanted blast off the moment you stepped back into the house~"
