Epilouge

TEN YEARS LATER....

Chantel ran around her five star restaurant greeting guest and smiling. As the CEO of her own company business was booming in New York.

Chantel was now twenty eight years old. Single and no kids. After the rush of the dinner service, she left to go to her house in Manhattan.

Taking her shoes off she laid on her king size bed. A knock sounded at her door. Getting up she opened the door and a single red rose laid at her door. No Note or anything.

She shrugged her shoulders, took the rose, and closed her door. The next day, Chantel was being a extra waitress. She liked to work in her own restaurant.

"Table six needed waiting." Tiny, said as she looked around the restaurant.

After college, Tiny and Chantel connected and decided to open their own franchise together. They had been best friends since high school.

"Hi, welcome to Queen's. What can I get you?" Chantel asked looking at the familiar male.

He chuckled and rubbed his beard. He ordered the steak and potatoes. Chantel worked his table all night. He was the last to stay.

"Sir, we're closed." Chantel said stacking and wiping menus.

"You don't remember me, baby?" He asked.

"I don't know who you are but you need to go." Chantel said.

"Girl. Even I know who that is." Tiny said rolling her eyes.

"Chantel! It's me." Julian said pulling another rose and holding it infront of him.

Chantel dropped the menus and ran to engulf him in hug. Some tears dropped from her face onto his shoulders.

"I missed you so much." Chantel said kissing his lips.

To Chantel, Julian looked better than ever. He seemed taller and more bulky. A couple of scars littered his arms.

"I missed you so much. Go out with me tonight." Julian said.

****
"What happened over the years?" Chantel asked as they laid on the beach.

"After I got out last year, I stopped fucking with the drug game. I started running clean money through my businesses. Got my money back up and I flew here to see you." Julian said rubbing her back.

The wind blew the water onto the wet sand. It was dark, the stars were out. It was like their first date when Chantel was eighteen.

"Remember when you were seventeen and I didn't wanna go to the beach but I did it anyway." Julian reminisced about good times.

"Yeah. You complained about the sand in your feet." Chantel said laughing.

"You look good now. I see you didn't wanna fuck with my brother."

"Because he wasn't you." Chantel said rubbing the side of his face.

"Then marry me. I'll relocate here. We could finally have a family. Ring and all. Trust me. Let's get married tonight." Julian said taking out a silver ring.

"Let's get married."
