Love Galore

Chantel sat in Julian's house doing homework listening to SZA's new album. She had loved every song.

Demetri and Lucas had went to the basketball court, leaving Julian and Chantel alone. They were about to go on their date.

Julian watched Wild N Out. He only like some of the jokes they made on the show. He had watched Chantel from afar.

He thought she looked beautiful. Her chubby face was scrunched up in confusion as she erased her previous answer.

"Julian!" Chantel said in a sing along tone.

"Hmm?" He asked watching her walk over to him.

"Can you help me with this really quick?" She asked showing him her English homework.

He was surprised it wasn't math. She had been the first girl who didn't like English and loved math.

"So the prompt is asking what I think this dumb poem means. It's clearly the death monologue from Romeo and Juliet. But it's not all about death." Chantel said rubbing her forehead.

Julian had remembered reading the play his freshman year. He understood it very well and passed the course with a A.

"So basically it's about Romeo sharing his last loving thoughts about Juliet before he kills himself. Technically Juliet isn't dead but to him she's lifeless." Julian told her.

Chantel scribbled her and Julian's thoughts in messy hand writing. She didn't fuck with English and wanted to just burn the homework all together.

"Done." She said packing her stuff up in her book bag.

Chantel hummed Bryson Tiller under her breath as Julian drove to the beach. Chantel wanted a date that would get her all in her feelings.

They had picked up some Chinese food before they drove out. Chantel wanted to have dinner on the beach and then walked around.

Julian honestly hated walking on the beach. He didn't like the sand in his toes and on his skin. But he would do it for Chantel.

Chantel sat down on the blanket as the wind blew. She loved the smell of salt water. Julian could see the comfort in Chantel's face making him send her a warm smile.

"Stop looking at me like that." Chantel said covering her face.

Julian took her hands in his and planted multiple kisses on her face. Finally adding a soft kiss to her lips.

Chantel blushed heavily, she ended up kissing Julian once more. She loved kissing him.

"I know you don't like the beach, but thank you for compromising." Chantel said.

"I'll do anything for you." Julian said laying on his stomach and resting his chin on his hands.

"Mhm." Chantel said.

She knew no nigga would be in love with her like that. But Julian, he was something else, he loved Chantel and he didn't know it at the moment.

He felt comfortable around her. He could show his soft side and not be stressing. Chantel didn't even stress him out like other girls did.

"The only way I'll be with you, is if you quiet doing illegal stuff." Chantel said.

She didn't know exactly what he did, but she knew he was doing illegal activities. Chantel didn't want to be in danger.

"I don't do anything illegal baby." Julian promised her, but he was lying.

Julian couldn't just drop selling drugs. It helped him give his brothers everything he didn't have.

He could have just invested in his clubs and make money, but the drug money made him greedy. It was fast and easy.

"Julian, I know you selling. But the only way you're gonna get me is if you stop. Why are you doing it anyway?" Chantel asked.

Julian sighed, "Because it gives me extra money for my brothers."

"Your businesses are already booming. You can get out before it's too late." Chantel told him.

Julian knew she was right. But he had been selling since he was fifteen, once his parents died.

"Can you tell me about your childhood?" Chantel asked wanting to get to know him more.

"It's a touchy topic for me. But just know I started selling during my childhood. Can we just stop talking about it. I'll tell you once I'm ready." He said.

Chantel looked into his eyes, but saw nothing. She said nothing else about his career. Instead they just enjoyed the scenery.

After the finished eating they walked along the beach. The sand felt nice to Chantel, but Julian kept his shoes on.

"Why don't you take your shoes off?" Chantel asked noticing.

"It makes me uncomfortable." Julian said.

Chantel shrugged her shoulders. After talking some more they left the beach. Julian drove Chantel back home before her sister starting fussing.

It was only eight pm. Chantel didn't want to leave Julian but she had to.

"This was nice." Chantel said as she unhooked her hand from Julian's.

"We gotta do it again. But just not the beach." He said laughing.

"Yeah. Good night." Chantel said trying to leave.

Julian grabbed her throat and kissed her deeply. Chantel kissed him back. He hated when she tried to leave without giving him a kiss.

However the kiss was broken was Cherise came outside with a bat in her hands. Chantel rolled her eyes before getting out of the car.

She shut Julian's door. Cherise was upset that Chantel brought Julian to her house.

"What the fuck are you doing with him!" Cherise screamed.

Chantel rolled her eyes. Her sister was so dramatic.

"Because I wanted to! What's your problem with him! He ain't do nothing to you." Chantel said trying to grab the bat from her sister.

Cherise hit the tail light of Julian's car. The shattering glass fell into the street. Chantel gasped. Julian was calm, he had plenty of money to fix his car.

He pulled off causing Cherise to fall into the street trying to swing at his car.

"You will not see him again!" Cherise told her sister.

Chantel felt her heart drop. She didn't know why her sister had this vendetta against Julian. He was good to Chantel.

"No! You can't keep me from seeing him. I hate you!" Chantel yelled at her sister before running into the house.

"There's just some stuff you don't know." Cherise said following her sister.

"Like what? I already know that some of the stuff he does isn't right. He doesn't even do that shit around me." Chantel said.

"I can't tell you about the stuff I know." Cherise said.

She couldn't tell Chantel that she was building a case against Julian. That would make Chantel hate her more.
