Chapter Four : His Thug; Mobile
~~~
"I see your up and mobile, that's rather a interesting sight, seeing you struggle after I've told you repeatedly you shouldn't be-." She interrupted.
"Shut up! I couldn't stand being bed ridden anymore! If I damage myself more than so be it!" She had responded with a painful shake in her body.
Sebastian had frowned and sighed.
"You don't have to act all big and tough Miss Glass," He walked over and then gently held her biceps, helping her to her feet, even wrapping his arms around her hips so she could stand and stay upright, if she so wanted to stay and look out the window into the night.
"Your wounded, your family is long and lost, you don't have to keep fighting for something that'll never return." He whispered softly and gently into her ear, he knowing it would hopefully provide some relief for the heartbroken lass.
"But I, I can't just sit in that bed, and just wither away into a Barbie doll, I'm so much more than... than some, then some doll..." Her head dropped as her body somehow relaxed into Sebastian's hold.
Sebastian was a bit curious as to why the woman fought so hard even after everything she had lost, was avenged.
"Tell me Miss Glass, If I could somehow heal you faster than you are recovering now? Would you perhaps take a interest in becoming much more than my Master's bodyguard? I can test you on the next case, to see if you have potential to come about with us into town and into London and such, I believe you won't find much conflict here at the manor, the outside world, no, the underworld suits you much better." He had spoke in return, hoping to lure her in a means of submission, to bring her to the human level she is supposed to be lingering in.
She looked over her shoulder to meet his red eyes, much like her own, she then looked back out into the night.
"I suppose we have a deal then," She responded with a snip in her words.
"But, why would you help me? After all I've done? All I've said?" She then asked softly and gently, a slight attitude still lacing her words.
This did indeed surprise the butler, and in truth her sensitive and gentle side made her even more dangerous in his opinion, even with the sarcastic side, even with the attitude in her words, this woman, her emotions spread with her like wildfire, and it nearly made his mouth water, but he kept his composure.
"Much to your surprise, your instincts and your level of knowledge of both street and domestic life is something that could be very useful for us." He had said, he gently turning her around so she could sit down in the chair beside the window so she wouldn't strain her body anymore than she already had, he then kneeled before her, his hands gently holding her cheeks.
"Close your eyes, it'll be over before you know it, alright?" He had asked her his voice making her a bit dizzy.
"Your not human right, then what are...?" Her eyes fluttered closed and her body fell limp.
Sebastian had smirked, then he whispered into her ear.
"I am, a devil of a butler."
Her eyes opened with a start, she sitting up quickly in bed as if she heard a yelp down the hallway, and yet, no one was near her.
She had swung her legs over the bed, rubbing the back of her neck, then she stopped, looking to her legs, which no longer were covered in bandages, her eyes had widened.
"I'm, I'm healed..?" She had asked herself, she standing then quickly rushing to the drapes and practically ripping them open, the sun blinding her.
"Gah!" She hid her eyes with her hand before blinking a few times.
Then she realized, she was healed, she then rushed to the mirror, seeing no bruises on her face, no busted lip, she was, herself again.
However she saw something on the nightstand, so she turned and then picked up the note which rested on the neatly folded pile of clothes.
'When your dressed come to the dining hall, I know you haven't eaten in a few days so so please come, I don't believe you need a corset yet, you are still a bit skinny the corset might not be needed. However if it is just call out. An we have guests coming to the manor this afternoon, children, so please try to be nice.'
Sebastian
Her her eyes narrowed at the letter and she let a small tch leave her lips, not because of the kids, but because of the male known as Sebastian.
However she slowly fitted into the dress like attire, and the way it looked on her, and allowed her to maneuver if she was to be caught into the fight, that was the best part, it even had hidden holsters, which made her smile.
Then she remembered, she didn't have her weapons anymore, the boy named Ciel had them.
However, she knew she had to gain his trust in order to receive them back.
"Miss Glass," A knock came to the door, and once it was opened, Sebastian had froze, seeing how nicely the young lady dressed herself.
"Miss Glass, I see you've gotten dressed already, my, I'm quite impressed about how well you tidied yourself up-." She had glared at him, which in turn made him stop talking.
"Not in the mood Sebastian, the fact I have to read and hear your voice as I'm reading," She held up the letter.
"Causes much bitter emotions, it seems to me your still a bit timid about me." She had then set the letter down on the nightstand before walking out of the room, her strides quick yet feminine.
Sebastian had smiled softly and then sighed.
"Timid isn't the right word, more so, cautious." He responded, he quick to follow behind.
"Hm." She said as in understanding, however her stomach began to twist and curl into knots, he's right, she hasn't eaten in, three to four days for sure, but she didn't know what today was.
"It's April 15, 1888, the last time you've eaten was probably five to six days ago, you must be in agony right now." Sebastian said to her with a hint of worry.
She quickly crossed her arms over her stomach.
"I'm fine, I'm used to this sort of thing," She looked away from him.
"The longest I've gone without eating has been six in a half days so."
"Conscious?" He responded with a sly smile.
She meet his gaze and then quickly looked away, which caused Sebastian to smile in victory.
"You really are a interesting one Miss Glass, I hope we have many adventures and days together, your a human I might very well befriend." He had said, however she couldn't tell if he was serious or being sarcastic.
"Mm." Was all she had said on the matter, her focus ahead of them towards the dining hall, where food, and a boy named Ciel awaited them.
