Issei POV

Asia: "um how do I eat this?" I watch as Asia analyzes the cheeseburger she ordered and I chuckle

Me: "there's no specific way you just bite into it like this" I pick up my double bacon cheeseburger and take a bite and Asia nods before trying herself

I was originally taking her to the church but she was hungry so I decided to get her some food considering she doesn't have any money right now. Asia manages to get a bite and her eyes light up before trying for another bite

Asia: "ish sho guud" I smile as she tries to eat it

Me: "hey be careful before you choke" she sets her burger down and swallows drinking from her soda

Asia: "I'm sorry it's just so good" she drinks from her soda

Me: "it's fine but just be careful" she nods "what brings you to Kuoh anyway?" She sets her burger down

Asia: "the church sent me here to go to the church in this town" she looks down at her hands "on the way here we were attacked by this big green creature" I tense up

Me: "and what did you think of it?" I nervously sip my drink

Asia looks up at me with a saddened expression

Asia: "it looked scared and very sad" I'm confused by her reaction "I only pray that it can find happiness" I slightly smile

Me: "maybe it's somewhere having peace" she smiles

No one POV

Koneko watches from a tree as Issei hangs out with Asia and she narrows her eyes at the scene. She activates a communication circle over her ear

Koneko: "Rias I found him. He's with a nun eating at a diner" she nods as she is told to keep watching over him

They get up and Issei pays and they leave and she follows closely behind as they go to an arcade and Issei teaches Asia how to play some of the games there. She watches as Issei is actually smiling and seems to be having fun and thinks back to what Akeno said about that beast not being Issei

Issei POV

Ddraig: "you are aware you're being followed right?" I kinda jump a bit and miss the plushie in the claw machine

Me: "oh you're still here" I hear him sigh "yes I'm aware I'm being followed" I look over at Asia who is trying pinball

Ddraig: "I'm glad you're happy partner" I groan

Me: "I'm not your-" I stop and see people looking at me weirdly "I'm not your partner. You're just...here I guess" I insert another quarter and try again

Ddraig: "Issei whether you like it or not you're stuck with me" I groan

Me: "I don't want another monster wanting control of me" he sighs and I manage to get a plushie with the claw

Ddraig: "I'm not trying to take over I'm just here because I don't have a choice" I stop mid step

Me: "what do you mean you don't have a choice?" I tap Asia's shoulder and she turns and smile as I hand her the plushie

Ddraig: "I've been here since the day you have been born" I kind of tense up but Asia doesn't notice as she's hugging the dragon plushie

Me: "so you've seen everything?" He hums "so you know I'm a danger to people" he sighs and I start to lead Asia out of the arcade

We start talking about things and I give her tips on the best places to go to in Kuoh until we reach the church and ddraig hasn't said a word

Asia: "this was very fun Issei" she smiles at me and it feels like my heart skipped a beat

Me: "yeah it was fun" I rub the back of my head blushing a bit

Asia: "thank you Issei" she turns and enters the church and I feel like I should say something because the church does look abandoned but I have learned to never judge a book by its cover

I turn and leave but as I reach the park I hear a branch break and I'm now on guard and something white lunges from a tree and I manage to dodge and see it's the school's mascot Koneko looking annoyed

Koneko: "you need to come with me" I step back before seeing a flash of the other guy uppercutting her and I shake my head

Me: "you know what I am and how dangerous I can be. If you're planning to try and kill me you can't" she narrows her eyes

Koneko: "either come peacefully or I drag you" I prepare myself

???: "Enough Koneko" I turn and see Akeno land and fold bat like wings

Me: "what is happening here?" Approaches me and smiles

Akeno: "we want to help but in order for that to happen you need to come with us" she holds out her hand and I hesitate before grabbing it

There's a red flash and I'm suddenly in a candle lit room and I start to panic but Akeno cups my cheek and makes me look at her

Me: "where are we? What are you going to do to me?" She takes me to a sofa and sets me down

Akeno: "you are in the occult research club clubhouse and we will explain" I raise an eyebrow

Me: "we?" The doors open and I turn and see Kiba walk in with Rias Gremory and I see another flash showing the other guy fighting them and I shake my head

Rias: "I wanted to talk to you specifically because of an.....incident" she sits behind her desk and Kiba leans against a wall and Akeno stands beside her "I want to apologise for attacking you when you were obviously upset over something" I tilt my head confused

Me: "you never atta-" I stop and realize she meant the other guy "well you can save your apology because that wasn't me" I get up and start to leave but Kiba suddenly appears in front of me making me step back

Kiba: "please don't make this harder then it needs to be" I turn and see Rias still calm and realize he crossed the room in half a second

Rias: "we are devils" everyone in the room deploys bat wings and I'm not really surprised by this

Me: "okay and what do you want from me?" She seems a little shocked from my reaction but resumes her attempted seductive face

Rias: "I want you to join my peerage" I stare at her for a few seconds before I speak

Me: "no"
