Stella's POV

I closed my eyes in fear as more branches began to crack.

Move. You have to Move. I thought

But it was too late. I rose high in the air gripping onto the branch for dear life and spinning more times then I could count. I suddenly saw a hole just big enough for me to slide in. Jumping at the right moment I slid down the hole and there before me were stairs.

Up above there were movements coming down as I hid under the steps praying that no one would see me.

"Stella?" A cool voice that I recognized immediately

"Demetrius???" I gasped as I ran in for a hug. He returned the gesture laughing and spinning me around.

"It is good to see you again." He smiled hugging me once more.

"I thought you were dead!" Tears of joy came to my eyes as he smiled down on me.

"And where did you hear such a thing?" He asked pretending to be offended

"I heard rumors here and there."

"Well you should never believe everything you hear." He scolded playfully before noticing my tears. He gently wiped them away. "Don't cry over me." He whispered as he grabbed my face gently kissing my tears then my mouth. My arms wrapped around his neck. (I'm not very good with lovey scenes. So you get it they kissed it's OTP enough said :D)

We sat on the stairs for a long while my head on his shoulder with his arms around me.

"How were you surviving?" I asked

"I moved everyday. From here to the astronomy tower to the slytherin common room to here, the lake. Just out and about. "

"Why were you with Abigail?"

"I thought that if I stayed with the slytherins I would have a better chance. Turns out I was better on my own. Where were you?"

And so I began my whole tale with many interruptions, but at the very end I was facing a very awed Demetrius.

"It sounds you had more of an adventure than I did!" He laughed as we sat in comfortable silence.

"We need to take down Abigail." I said lowly.

"Sounds like someone wants revenge."

"She killed my only friend. " A lump rose in my throat "she was too young to go, too innocent. she doesn't deserve this. No one does."

"Stella-" He looked worried. "That's not the best idea. That's what the game makers want you to do. They want you to do this. "

I nodded understandingly. "If we're not going to do it, then something else will do it."

"So." He sighed "what's our next move?"
