That night, Jungkook couldn't sleep again.  He tossed and turned, but he still couldn't fall asleep.

Eventually, Jungkook tried something he doubt would happen.

"Are you awake?" he yelled at the ceiling, knowing that there's absolutely no way-

DING!

"FUCK!"  Jungkook dropped from his bed again.  "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WATCHING ME SLEEP OR WHAT IT'S 2 AM BRUH"

He rushed to read the text.  Gotta see what this pervert gonna say.

V: No, I have a sensor for whenever you talk.

Jungkook brought the phone to his bed as he covered his blankets.  "Oh..."

V: Why did you call me?

"I dunno.  I guess I was bored.  And I couldn't sleep."

V: Do you wanna talk?

Jungkook sneered.  The person was just trying to be nice.  There's no way he actually wants to talk to Jungkook.  Perhaps... he could influence the person to tell him a thing or two about what's going on.

"I dunno.  Maybe you should start by revealing your true identity." Jungkook asked coldly.

The text box stopped showing.  And Jungkook knew the person must have given up talking to him.  He smirked. "...or not.  Goodnight then!"  Jungkook flung the phone to the other side of the bed, getting ready to go back to sleep.

DING!

V: My name's Kim Taehyung.

The hell??  Did he just really reveal his identity like that.  Jungkook doubted that anyone would be so foolish, especially when he probably wants to kill Jungkook.

"How do I know you're actually called Kim Taehyung?" Jungkook asked cautiously.

V: Search it on insta guccimodel1230

Immediately, Jungkook switched to Instagram and found this:

First of all, Jungkook was shocked that the person behind the text was actually around the same age as him.  Perhaps younger.  Now that he thought of it, he was kind of relieved that the person behind wasn't some old pervert who wants him to take off his clothes so that he could screenshot and save it for himself and stare at it in the middle of the nigh-

NONONONONONONONONO enough with that thought.  It's not like this hot gray-haired teen is any better.

The younger scrolled over the boy's pictures, secretly admiring the good looks of the stranger. His silver hair draped on his face, his fierce eyes staring into the camera. It's probably all the filter, there's no way he looks that hot in person, Jungkook thought.

"So you're a gucci model?"  Jungkook laughed internally, looking at the username.  Gucci model my ass!  There's no way he's an actual gucci model, though his body and face structure seems pretty ok to be one.

V: I'm a model, yes.  But I don't work for gucci, though I do wish that I am.

Jungkook chuckled at his response.

Jungkook also noticed the close resemblance of the video game character, who also had silver, grey hair.

"The avatar in the game, he looks a lot like you."

V: That's right!  Because I was the one who made him.

Jungkook was jungshooked.  "Woah woah wait... what?"

V: I'm a model and a programmer.  I programmed this game.

"That's actually pretty nice."  Jungkook lied.  The game was legit trash (But he's only saying that cuz he couldn't beat the boss level).

V: No, it's not nice... it was a trap to get you into contact with us.  Plus I only programmed the whole game in a few days.

"Oh, er, but the game is pretty good... for someone who only made it for a few days."  Jungkook lied again.  He has no idea why he keeps complimenting Taehyung.  It's not like he really thought the game was good or anything... did he?

The two boys stayed silent for a while... and Jungkook knew he should probably start to feel sleepy sooner or later... but the tiredness never came to him.

"Taehyung." Jungkook finally spoke, breaking the silence.

V: Yeah?

"Would you let me see your real face?"

V: But... I'm not allowed to...

The younger's heart sank a little.  He wanted to talk to someone face to face.  At least, it would make him feel better to talk about his fears.  He wanted someone, anyone, to reassure him that he was gonna be okay.  That he wasn't going to die.

Even though Taehyung was the one who brought him into this nightmare.  He had been patiently listening to Jungkook all this time.  He was the only one who comforted him when he was scared.  After all, Taehyung is the only one who could listen to him, because Jungkook isn't allowed to tell this to anyone else.

Just then, the screen shifted to Taehyung's camera and Jungkook's eyes widened.  Oh shit.

Jungkook already knew what Taehyung looked like, based on his photos. Though, as Jungkook predicted, Taehyung didn't look the same as the photos in his instagram.

Sure, his face isn't as perfect without the makeup and the hair styled, but to Jungkook he looked perfect. His slightly tanned skin. His fluffy, messed up hair covering his eyes. His natural boxy smile. He'd prefer this version of Taehyung, if he had to be honest.

"Hi, Jungkook." his deep voice sounded as he shyly massaged the back of his neck.

"H-hi." Jungkook couldn't believe it. He was looking at the person behind all of this. He know he should feel hatred towards this boy. But, for some reason, he made him feel safe. He felt like he could trust this person even without knowing him.

No. Jungkook stopped himself. He shouldn't be trusting strangers, especially one who killed his classmate, the one who told him to do all those crazy things. That's fucked up!

"Jungkook... you know I've been watching you for a while right? So I think it's only fair that you can see me too. The real me." Taehyung started, shifting the camera screen a little so that Jungkook could see his face better.

Jungkook nodded in response.

"Listen to me... I want to help you. I want you to be free from... all this."

Jungkook nodded again, creating an awkward silence between the two boys.

"Tell me, Jungkook. Tell me about yourself." Taehyung broke the silence.

"You already know everything about me." Jungkook said coldly.

"No, not that kind of stuff, I wanna know your hobbies, your favorites." Taehyung leaned closer to the camera, as if waiting for Jungkook to tell a cute little bedtime story.

"Uhhh... okay. I guess I like gaming. That's basically it...?"  Jungkook still felt a little hesitant with telling Taehyung all these personal things.

"Really? You don't so sports? Traveling?"

"Actually... I've never really traveled before. My parents kept me at home."

"Poor you, maybe I could take you traveling in the future!" Taehyung said jokingly, though a part of him wasn't really joking. Jungkook laughed along with him, though the smile instantly faded.

"Why are you doing this?" Jungkook finally asked, a little bit unsure with what's going on.

"Doing what?"

"Being nice to me, gaining my trust and everything. Aren't you working for them?"

Taehyung's face turned serious.  His eyes piercing through the camera.  Jungkook saw the anger in his eyes.

"Jungkook. I was forced to work for them."

Jungkook also saw fear in his eyes too.  The same fear he was feeling.

"I'm just like you, Jungkook. I'm just another pawn for them to play with."

Before Taehyung could say anything else, he whipped around at the sound of keys unlocking outside.

"Fuck! K-keep quiet, Jungkook."

The door slammed open. It was too dark for Jungkook to see the people's faces, but he knew they were the people behind all this. The people who made him do all these things.

"Hey, how's my sweets doing?" the man said, brushing a finger on Taehyung's cheek. Taehyung looked away in annoyance as he did so. Anger boiled in Jungkook's chest, but he still chose to stay quiet.

"How's Jungkook doing?" the man looked over at the camera, and Jungkook quickly flung himself on the bed.

"He's asleep." Tahyung replied curtly, glaring at the man.

"Good. When he wakes up the next morning, we'll be sending one of the boys over to get him."

"What? What are you going to do to him?" Taehyung said worriedly.

"Relax, the boy just needs some assistance with the next task. From what I see, the boy clearly isn't loyal enough to obey orders."

Jungkook shut his eyes tightly as he listened carefully to what the man said. Shit. One of his men was going to pick him up tomorrow.  What if they hurt him or kill him or...

"But Jungkook's at school. There's no way we can get someone in there."  Taehyung said.

"Easy. Just snipe that goddamn guard at the front door and then disable the school cameras."

NO! Not the school guard! Jungkook exclaimed in his head.

"How about we order him to get out of school. And then the guy can wait for him outside. That's less work for us." Taehyung suggested. Jungkook mentally thanked him for giving that suggestion.

"Okay, whatever. Just get the kid to meet him. The rest I've already told him what to do."

Jungkook could hear the heavy footsteps fade away, exiting the door and locking it.

"Jungkook, he's gone now." he heard Taehyung say.

"So someone's going to meet me?" Jungkook asked.

"Yeah, it should be fine." Taehyung assured him.

For a while there was silence again.  But this time, it wasn't an awkward since.  It was more of a fearful silence.

"Jungkook, promise me you'll obey him."  Taehyung added, noticing Jungkook looking away in uncertainty and fear.

"I dunno, Taehyung..." Jungkook wasn't good at obeying others, especially when they're telling him to do something that might harm himself.

Taehyung pulled the camera closer, speaking in a serious tone, "I don't want you to die, Jungkook. So please promise me that you will obey them."

Jungkook stayed silent again.

"Jungkook, promise me.  And I promise I'll do anything to keep you safe."  Taehyung's voice trembled a little.

"Okay. I promise."  Jungkook squeaked, a tear trickling from his eye.  He wiped it off shortly, hoping that Taehyung didn't see it.
