Aaron
Finally, it was the day, the day I had been waiting for, my release. Aphmau and Levin didn't know it was today, I had the warden tell them the wrong date so I could surprise them.

"Hey Aaron!" Ein ran up to me before I left. "When you see Aphmau, tell her I'm sorry will ya? I know she won't come near me but, I really am sorry..."

"Sure thing Ein, just remember, don't mess with us, and once you get released, text me and maybe we can get together to talk things over." Wow, he really had changed.

"Will do Alpha!" He saluted at me and ran off.
I sighed. Alpha, that wasn't a title I've had in years, and I guess I missed it.

I shook hands with Dante and Travis and wished them luck on serving out their sentences, that was when Travis revealed to me that he had been lying the whole time and he was really in jail because he was in a movie about life in jail, the directors wanted their main actor to get a feel for prison life before he got on set.
I grabbed my bag and walked out the door, I breathed in the fresh air and gazed up at the sky, it's been so long since I was outside.
I started home, excited to surprise Aph. I had specifically chosen a time that Levin would be out so I could spend some quality time with Aph before we did a "family" thing. I quickly stopped by the flower shop and picked up a small bouquet of purple tulips, Aphmau's favorite, and walked up our driveway.
This was it.
I pressed my ear against the door to listen in, thankfully Aph was in the living room, recording a video, the perfect time to strike.
I opened and closed the door as quietly as possible and snuck around the corner. I hid behind the couch and thought about what to say, and then it happened.

Aphmau
"So that's gonna be it for the video guys, I hope you enjo-"

"So, what game you playing?" A voice asked next to me.

Was I imagining things? Because I could've swore that sounded like Aaron!
I turned my head to end up nose to nose with a sight for sore eyes.

"Aaron?!?!!?!!" I cried and jumped over the back of the couch into a huge bear hug.
Then, when I was least expecting it, he grabbed my waist, spun me around, and dip kissed me like we were newly weds. When he stood me back up a couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time.

Aaron
"Aaron! It really is you!" She started to cry.

"Yes, it is, and I've missed you!" I handed her the flowers.
She looked down at them and held her hand to her mouth. I smiled.
Looped around one of the tulip buds sat a small silver ring that sparkled in the sunlight that streamed in through the window. She looked up at me, obviously shocked. I smiled at her and knelt down on one knee.

"Aphmau Lorde, will you make me the happiest man alive, and marry me?"

She was crying happy tears, the good kind, and I knew what that meant.
Her hand was trembling as it stroked my cheek. This was it.

Aphmau
Aaron handed me a bouquet of purple tulips, my favorite. As I bent down to smell them I noticed something unusual, one of the blooming buds was sparkling. I took a closer look and it and gasped, my hand on my mouth, I was ready to cry.
Oh my Irene.
He knelt down on one knee and looked up at me.
Irene help me.

"Aphmau Lorde," he began and I froze, but my hand still trembled.
"Would you make me the happiest man alive, and marry me?"

My mind was racing, it was finally happening.
I reached my hand out and stroked his cheek.
Teary eyed, I replied.
"Yes!"

He jumped up and pulled me into a huge hug, we were crushing the tulips, but that was okay.
When we pulled apart, he took the ring off the bud and slipped in on my finger, which I had held out for him.
This was the happiest day of my life.
"Aaron,"

"Yes?" He smiled at me.

"I love you."

"I know."
