Katelyn
As Aaron was speaking I couldn't help my mind from drifting away into sheer worry and terror for Aphmau, what if she got hurt, what if she ran away for good, leaving us all alone, what would we tell Levin?

"Katelyn," Aaron made me snap back to reality. "Are you okay?"

"Oh, yeah," I responded, trying to sound professional. "Just worried about Aphmau."

"Yeah, me too"

Just as Aaron said that, a sonic boom rang through the night sky and shook the house.

"Did you hear that?!"

"Did you FEEL that?!!?!"

It was at that terrifying moment that my mind conjured up the worst possible scenario.

"Aphmau!" I cried and bolted for the door.

Katelyn tried to catch me but as soon as I started running, there was no stopping me. As I ran though the village I saw buildings start to crumble around me, flashbacks came flooding in as I remembered Falcon Claw for the hundredth time. I looked in the direction of my beloved city and saw it, a huge mushroom cloud rising up into the night sky.
I immediately went into terminator mode and bolted towards it.

Aphmau could be hurt!
Don't bother, she's probably dead already.
I can't give up!
She's in danger!
But so is everybody else!
Just find her!

I ran faster than I ever had in my life. When someone is bent on getting somewhere, there really is no stopping them.

Aphmau
As I tried to escape the crumbling ruins, a large piece of rubble landed on my leg, and another on my opposite arm, pinning me to the burnt ground. I let out a scream as they crushed my bones, the pain was unbearable.
I heard someone else crying out and I was silently willing them to leave, my mind thought back to the little ghost boy, he knew what he was talking about, I understood now what he meant.
I saw a figure in the distance running towards the city, and I tried to cry out to them but all my strength was being drained, and nothing came but a faint whisper. Apparently that was enough.

Flames licked at my face as I ran through destruction listening for a cry. I heard a whisper come at me through the air.
"Help, please help....."
My eyes widened.
My eyes filled with smoke and ash, my head was screaming for relief of the burning headache that attacked me. I tore off a piece of my jacket and wrapped it around my eyes, I went into senses mode, even though I could slightly see through the cloth, my hearing and smelling were enhanced and I started tearing through the ruins towards the whisper.
When I reached the source I took off my wrap, but kept it over one eye just to be safe, I stared at the bloody, crushed corpse of the one who had stayed by me, my best friend, my lover, my Aphmau.
Her legs were trapped along with one of her arms and she wasn't moving, without thinking I started clawing at the large pieces of rubble pinning her down, trying to get a hold on them so I might be able to lift them away.
I was there for hours, trying my hardest, but they wouldn't budge. Eventually Katelyn arrived with the police and they tried to calm me down.

Aphmau
Darkness. It engulfed me. I couldn't move, I couldn't speak, I couldn't do anything. I opened my eyes to see a bright light coming towards me, it called to me, and I was tempted to go, but then I stopped, I remembered Aaron and Katelyn, Kawaii~Chan and Levin, That girl Kiki and the little ghost boy Malachi. And Donna, she kept me alive, I needed to stay alive for them.
I closed my eyes and shook my head, I could move again. And then, it was like waking up from a bad dream, and there I was, still pressed to the ground, my arm and leg felt like jelly, I opened my eyes again to see Aaron standing there, crying.

He cares for me that much?!

I tried to call out to him, but I couldn't, I could barely breathe, my chest was pressured on the ground and my lungs had filled with smoke and ash.

Is this the end?

I watched as the man I loved was hauled away by the police, I had felt slight relief for a split second as he had tried to lift the blocks off me. I waited. Katelyn cupped her mouth with her hands and cried, for the first time in a long time, she cried.
