A MONTH LATER

Y/N'S POV 

The man named Kenny took me in. He didn't talk about himself and who he was. He taught me how to hold a knife and how to use it. " Again." He said and I thrust my knife into a pillow tied to a tree. " Again." He said and I thrust again. This continues again and again. " Okay kid, That's enough." I stopped and look at him in the eyes panting. " You did nice kid. Come on." He said walking off. I followed him " So. What's your story Kid?" He asks. I looked at him and hesitated at first " My dad drag me outside the house and tied me to a tree. Then a Beowulf tried to eat me but I accidentally used my Semblance." I replied. Kenny looked at me and asks " What's your semblance anyway?" He asks " I can't remember what happened after that Beowulf tried to eat me. " " Is that so. Anyway, I'm going to teach you how to shoot a gun. I noticed that I teach you enough about knives. So I'm going to teach you another weapon." I just nodded in response and continue to follow him. We stopped at a  Prostitute bar. I looked at Kenny and he turns to me and said " Stay here. And don't go anywhere." I nodded as Kenny entered the establishment. I waited there, Then a girl with green hair with red eyes bumps into me " Sorry." She said and continue to her merry way. I then search for my knife and I fell it wasn't there. I turned to the girl and saw she started to run away. " Hey!" I started chasing her down. She swiftly avoided the crowd and I had some difficulty but manage to keep up. The chase ends when she goes to an alleyway. She stops and starts to panic, " You don't have any more to go so give up!" I shouted and she turned around and pulls out my knife " Come on, we don't need violence to sort this out." I said raising my hands " P-please! Just let me go!" She said. " I can't let you do that. That knife was given to me, Someone important." She then charges with her knife in her hands. She tried to stab me but I disarm her and pushes her away and she fell to the ground. She was scared and closes her eyes " Please! Don't hurt me!" She said whimpering." I only smiled and walks over to her " Hey, I'm not going to hurt you." I reach my hand for her to reach. She opened her eyes looks at me and looks back at the hand " Really?" She asks and I only smiled and nodded " You don't have to worry a thing!" I smiled at her. She then holds my hand and pulls her up. She looks down in embarrassment. 

" My name's Y/N! What's yours?" I asked and she looks at me and was hesitated at first " My name is Emerald...Emerald Sustrai." She said softly. " Emerald? That's a cool name. It fits you!" I said She blushes and hides her face " Why?" She said I only look at her with confusion " Huh?" I said. " Why are you nice to me? Even I tried to steal your knife?" She asks. " Umm..You see I steal too. I understand you do it because you need to survive." I then heard a growl coming from her " Your hungry huh?" I grab her wrist and drags her to a hotdog shop " Come on! Let's eat some hot dogs!" I said " W-wait!" We arrive at the hotdog stand and pulls out my money. "Mister!" I called The hotdog man and he looks at me with a smile " What could I do for ya?" He asks " 4 Hotdogs please!" I said and he nodded. He then gives the 1st batch and I hand it to Emerald " Here!" I said and she accepts. I got the second one and start eating the hotdog. Emerald was hesitant at first but she took a bit and stops " Wow, It's good." She started eating it. " See? It's good!" I said with a smile. She stops and looks at me " Y/N... Thanks for buying hotdogs, Your the only one who was kind to me." She said. I only look at her and smile " No problem! We're friends now!" I said and she looks at me " Friends?" She asks and I nodded " Uhm! Friends!" I replied " Promise?" She said " Promise!" I replied. Then I felt a hand grab me in the head and heard Kenny's voice " I told you to stay outside but you disobeyed me and having a date?" " Umm. It's not a date but..." He then starts to drag me away " Bye Emerald! See you around!" I said. She was about to say but she stops. We arrived in a big forest and huge trees. " Hey, Kenny. What are we doing here?" He asks. He then throws me some kind of gear with a white but no blades. It has 2 boxes inside they're some kind of blade. " Today. You will learn something. It may kill ya." He smirks. I only look at him with Determination.

TIMESKIP- 2 WEEKS LATER

I was training with Kenny, But this training is way different. It's like he wants to kill me. I just escape from Kenny and he's good doing surprise attacks. I continue to use to zip through the woods until I saw a shadow in front of me. I immediately go in another direction and heard 2 gunshots. " YAHAA!" I looked from my behind to see Kenny with a smirk on his face. He continues to follow me and reload his gun " Your good kid! Learning how to use the ODM gear and dodge my shots in 2 weeks? Impressive!" He shouted and fired another shot. I turned around and shouted " KENNY!" I throw my blade at him and he only blocks it with his gun and fired. I continue to zip away and managed to lose him. I landed on a tree branch and hides behind the tree. I took a peek and saw him landing on a tree branch. " You know kiddo, You're like a roach! No matter how much I put more effort killing you, you always survive." He reloads and the barrels of his gun drop. " Time to kill the Vermin! Bang! Bang!" He shouted and smirks. I devised a plan to distract him and sneak upon him. I grab another pair of blades and throws them. When I throw the blades I immediately Zipped behind him. His focus turns to the blades and avoided them. Then he feels a blade against his throat and smiles " You really good at this." " Thanks for the compliment," I replied and removed my blade. He turns to me with a smile on his face. " Come on." He said zipping away. I followed him, We arrive at the small camp we made. He pulls out a black footlocker and opens it. I saw an Anti-Personel Gear like him but the guns are different. Instead of a gun with a magazine of barrels. The guns are changed. They're both Mauser c-69's. There are some minor changes as well. I was shocked and looked at him " Don't give that looked Kiddo. You're going to use them tonight. They're the only prototypes. So. Be careful with it." I closed the footlocker and carried it " What am I going to do tonight?"
