Today is a special day for Beacon students. Not because of the sudden influx of students due to upcoming Vytal festival, but for a completely different reason.

Today is Thursday but since Beacon is suddenly having an influx of students, The Headmaster has decided to make tomorrow a day off so to speak. Meaning that after classes, they could all hang out and do stuff anyone with a perfectly normal life would have.

Except for a certain group, with plans to uncover what is going on in the world.

RWBY, Y/N, and Aigis were in their last class for the day with Port. Not paying attention to his stories, Y/N opted to meditate.

{Aura Meditate} was something Y/N can appreciate as it allowed him for a faster recovery of {MP} as well as spreading his Aura around. With it, it is like seeing everywhere at once, thus making it near impossible to bypass his defenses in his sleep.

Not only that but it also cancels out any distraction the world will give him so he can rest without worry.

Feeling Port slowing down, Y/N opened his eyes as the usual noise filled his ear. "Are you awake, Y/N?"

He turned his attention to his 'official' daughter, looking at him with curious eyes. She wore the Beacon girl's uniform with surprising ease as though she already was a student all her life. But what stood out was a red ribbon around her neck, Aigis comments about how she likes it very much, which made Y/N question if she even remotely remembers what happened in {S.E.E.S} but that's a question that will never be asked.

Y/N nodded as Aigis went back to studying Port's lesson. He was surprised to know that Aigis doesn't have any data about Grimm, when asked she replied that the data was corrupted when she fell into the water and thus she needed new information about it. Hence her studious nature on the subject.

Checking his watch, Port has decided to look at his class. "I believe we will end my story here. Until next time!"

Y/N and Aigis stood up together and walked to the doorway. "How is the school for you, Aigis?"

The android looked back at Y/N with no expression. "I detect no Grimm in the area, so I am fine."

Y/N sweatdrop at her answer as she walked beside him. Her programming has not changed one bit but he can tell that she'll be better in time.

As they were walking to the hallway, Sun and Neptune walked behind them. Before Sun could tap his shoulder, Y/N had turned around.

"AH!" Sun yelped in surprise, making Neptune snicker. "Dude, how did you do that?!"

"Perhaps I have a third eye? Who knows?" Y/N joked to the duo, Aigis not far.

"Do you have three eyes, Y/N? Where is it located?" She asked her father, who only sighed.

"It was a joke, Aigis. I have no other eye on my body." Neptune saw Aigis and moved closer to her.

"Hey there." He purposely made his voice deeper as he tried to impress her. "What's your name, doll?"

Aigis tilted her head as to why someone would make their voice deeper and move closer to the person if all they wanted was to talk. "My name is Aigis. I am a Humanoid Tactical Weapon for Grimm, given life by my father."

Neptune sweatdropped at her name but pushed on. "Oh. I'm Neptune. What say, you and I go out sometime?"

"I'm afraid I cannot. For today, I will accompany my father with Team RWBY on their mission." Aigis denied Neptune as she moved closer to Y/N, interlocking arms.

Neptune's mouth was wide agape as he pointed the two side by side. "Wait! You're her FATHER?!"

Y/N merely plugged his ears when Neptune shouted and cooly replied. "Yeah. Got a problem with that?"

That seemed to stop Neptune on his tracks, afterward left him mildly depressed as Sun laughed. "Wow, I did not see that one coming. But dude, you're a dad?"

Y/N scratched his head a bit as the conversation got weirder. "Well, not by blood if that's what you're thinking. I merely gave her a piece of my soul so that she may live a life like a normal Huntress."

Sun and Neptune decided to not ask more, feeling like it will only get more awkward. Roll with the punches, they say.

He rubbed Aigis' head, making her lean to the touch. Y/N cared so much for Aigis, like someone whose life you lived for. Back home, he barely had any contact with people and thus made him mildly depressed but after coming here, his life is filled with people who want to be with him and that is what he is fighting for. Lives that matter.

'Cheezy fuck...' Coughing on his hand, he stopped his rubbing and returned his attention to Sun. "So, what did you want to talk about?"

"Oh right." Sun then grabbed Neptune out of his depressive state and leaned against him. "Neptune and I are heading to a night on the town and we were wondering if you want to join us."

Smiling at his offer, Y/N waved his hand. "Sorry to say, but as Aigis said we already have plans for tonight with Team RWBY. Thanks for the offer though."

"Y/N," Aigis called out to him with a monotone face. "The meeting will start in 30 seconds."

"Oop, gotta run. See ya guys." With that, Aigis and Y/N left the duo.

Sun and Neptune stared at where they were running. "Well, that sucks." He was mulling about what happened to Aigis and the plans they made tonight. "Guess we can hang out another time."

"Not so fast, my blue-haired friend." Sun then huddled heads with Neptune with a small smirk on his face. A sudden feeling washed over Neptune, feeling dread about what is about to happen next.

"I have a plan..."

In Team RWBY's dorm, all members, plus Y/N and Aigis, were wearing alternate costumes since their regular clothes would instantly recognize by their enemies.

They all decided to forgo the idea of disguising themselves as the locations each of them will go to isn't that worrisome, except for Blake.

"Guys, for the last time, I am not going in disguise. You know how many Cat Faunus there are in Vale?" Blake stepped back a bit as Y/N was holding a ball of Aura.

"This isn't about numbers, Blake." Y/N was now pushing the subject with conern. "Where you're going is a White Fang hotspot, and who knows who will be, what if they recognize you. I'm just being precautious."

"Help, you guys?" She looked back at her teammates for some support, what she got...

"I dunno Blake, Y/N could be right about it." Ruby agreed reluctantly.

"I agree. With what you did at the docks, there will no doubt be someone who will recognize you." Weiss was with him.

"Besides, what's the worst thing that could happen?" Yang grinned at what will happen.

"I also think Father's suggestion is sound. Please comply."

Blake's shoulders sagged as each response only worsened the situation. When she looked back at Y/N he already chucked the ball at her. The impact was around her chest, as the Aura engulfed her in a glowing grey color.

It was only for a second that Blake realized that she wasn't herself anymore. Mentally, she was fine in all records but her body has transformed that she felt like herself still.

Y/N did not know many who acted like Blake; quiet with a fierce personality as he wasn't cultured enough to know more but he did know someone who always thinks things through, has a fiery determination for justice, and will also make it through thick and thin.

Blake's transformation made her body shift into what Y/N envisioned her to be. A short bob cut with a turtleneck sweater and a button-up coat. An appendage on her backside was a black fluffy tail as the cover of a Faunus. Blake opened her new ruby red eyes as she looked cross. Simple jeans and boots as her disguise were complete.

"I thought you were my friends," Blake said, her voice slightly higher as her tail swished about. "Who did you turn me into anyway?"

"Someone with a fierce personality and a soft interior. I thought it would look good on you and I was right." Y/N said with a satisfied smile, knowing that Blake is now disguised as Makoto Nijima.

"Whoa, Blake you look so cool." Ruby glimmered with joy as she sped around her. "And your tail so soft."

"Huh. You make it surprisingly realistic, Y/N." Weiss also touched Blake's new appendage, slowly getting addicted.

"Oh, let me get some too." Yang rubbed her hand up and down Blake's new tail.

While Blake isn't receiving some feedback into her body, it still made her embarrassed. "Knock it off!"

She shook her tail off her friends and crossed her arms at Y/N. "I will not forget this." Her embarrassed face was making it hard for Y/N to take her seriously but kept her warning in mind.

Slightly laughing, he dismissed the illusion as Blake was back to herself once more. "Ahem, let's go over our plan once more so we all know our role."

Weiss was first to act. "Ruby and I will head to the CCT to check the Schnee records for any other robberies or inconsistencies. Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be any problem."

Blake was next, glaring at Y/N for a moment before resuming. "The White Fang has regular faction meetings to handout orders and recruit new members. If I can get in, hopefully, I'll  find what out where they're being stationed."

Yang was last with a grin on her face. "I have an old friend in town that deals with shady business in or out and knows what's going on in Vale. Getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard as Y/N will be there."

They all looked at Y/N as he nodded. "It's true. I trust Weiss and Blake to carry out their task without interference and Blake knows more than any of us about the White Fang. I'll stay with Yang in case things go sour."

"And where will I go, Y/N?" Aigis asked him, putting her hand on her chest. "If I can be of any help, I would be happy to oblige."

They all looked at each other as to where Aigis will be stationed with and already came with a solution. "You can come with us," Ruby said.

"Really?" Y/N asked Ruby, not knowing where it came from.

"Yeah. After we finish up, we can take Aigis around. It'll be a piece of cake." Ruby cheered on as she happily hugged Aigis. "Besides, it's a great way for her to go around Vale."

"I am in your care." Aigis thanked Ruby, giving a small smile.

'ME EAT YOU WHOLE!' Y/N slyly thought but went back into the plan.

"Great! We'll meet up tonight near Yang and Y/N to go over what we found." With no words of objections, Ruby pumped her hand upwards. "Let's do this!"

Before anyone could say anything, the window outside was open, and out came something no one expected from a building so high.

"Yeah!"

Out the window was Sun, hanging on his tail on a tree branch as he had heard everything the team just said. They were all taken back with how Sun surprised them all.

"Sun?!" Blake asked her fellow Faunus as he dangled on the branch.

"How did you get up there?" Yang asked Sun.

"Ah, it's easy; I do it all the time." Sun casually replied Weiss thought it he meant something else.

"You do what?!"

"I climb trees all the time." Ignoring Weiss' scowl, he turned upright and flipped into the room. "So, are we finally gonna catch the Torchwick guy?"

Blake wanted Sun out of it as she didn't want any more people involved. "We are going to investigate the situation... as a team."

"But, he's not part of your team." Sun pointed to Y/N and Aigis.

"I'm here as a precaution risk to this situation in case anything goes awry. There's no telling of how things will go so I will act as a safety net for them." Y/N said, indirectly calling each of RWBY as precious friends for them.

"And her?" Aigis was again confused but Y/N answered again.

"She's just here because she wants to be here." Y/N then see's one person missing from his troupe. "Where's Neptune?"

"Oh, he's right there." Sun gestured to the back of him, out of the window.

Everyone poked their heads out to see him, standing on a ledge outside where he looked chilled.

"'Sup." He casually said to them.

"How did you even get up there?" Ruby asked him, feeling it isn't safe to be up that high.

"I have my ways." He cooly replied, a wind blowing past him as his attitude quickly shifted 180. "Seriously though, can I come in? We're like, really high up here."

After rescuing Neptune, they all huddled up again to discuss their roles in this.

"Alright, I'll go with Weiss and Aigis, Sun can go with Blake." Ruby then pushed Neptune to Yang and Y/N as he slipped her a wink. "And Neptune can go with Yang and Y/N. Everyone good?"

Everyone nodded as Y/N walked up to Blake but she stopped him. "I think I can go without the disguise, thank you."

"Are you sure about this?" Y/N asked her with concern, making Blake a slight jump with excitement but reigned her emotions in.

"Yeah. Sun will be there to help me anyway."

Sighing with her explanation, Y/N decided to disguise himself.

He instantly transformed into 'Akira' with a plain shirt, jacket, and pants with him adjusting his glasses. "If you need me, you know who to call."

They all nodded, thought Neptune was shocked once more. "You can change appearances?!"

The CCTS Tower was a technological marvel across Remnant and Vale was the main hub for all communications. It was a gift/peace sign from Atlas as a way to form bonds instead of breaking and ensure that Vale and Atlas will have each other's back.

People from Vale can access this tower to use as a gateway to either talk to someone across Remnant, order stuff online, and in this case...

Asking from the SDC about White Fang robberies.

"Wow. I forgot how big the Transit tower looks so close!" Ruby squealed in joy as she saw the massive tower erected in Vale proper.

"You should see the one in Atlas," Weiss suggested to her partner as she and Aigis walked closer to it.

"It was the first one created, yes?" Aigis asked the heiress, unable to use the local net until her Father can provide her, her own Scroll.

"Correct." Weiss then gazed upon the tower in all of its might with a smile. "Atlas developed the (Cross-Continental Transit System) to allow the 4 Kingdoms to communicate one another."

Seeing the massive building, Aigis wondered if ever there were any Grimm attacks the halted their movement and what they did to repel them.

"It was their gift to their world after the Great War." Weiss finished her analogy at the tower, feeling proud of what Humanity will do for peace.

"Oo, look at me. My name is Weiss and I know facts and is rich." Ruby playfully mocked Weiss after she explained the CCT Tower and giggled slightly.

Weiss was annoyed at how childish her partner can be and did not look amused. "Stop being a pest."

"But I do not see a pest, Weiss." Aigis innocently comments, making Weiss sigh at her metal companion. "All I see is Ruby."

"What I meant, Aigis is that Ruby needs to stop being childish." Ruby chuckled a bit at how cold her partner's words are, but Aigis somehow read between the lines.

"Are you saying you care for Ruby's well being?" The massive blush on her seemed to hit the nail on the coffin.

"WHAT?! I- I don't- I can't possibly- I-I-I" Weiss stuttered incoherently as she tried to find the right answer. She didn't reply but responded with a pout and turned their heads against the two.

Ruby giggled madly at how Weiss reacted but Aigis is still confused about human emotions. "Ruby, why did Weiss act like that? Was it something I said?"

Ruby looked at Aigis as she couldn't get the grin off her face. "Oh, Aigis..."

That made Aigis more confused and will compress the data she has gathered into storage for later use. Perhaps she can ask Prof. Peach about it and Y/N how to deal with it.

Weiss coughed at her hand as she got her bearings right. "Anyway, let us continue. Honestly, the only reason we came here is that you like it so much. We could have easily made the call in the Library."

"I know! But, it's so cool! Ooh, I'm gonna take a picture." She already had her Scroll for a picture with Weiss and Aigis and show the world how cool she was.

But she was a bit hasty and accidentally dropped her Scroll on accident. It fell to a nearby passerby who picked it up."You dropped this."

Seeing the person, Ruby was immediately surprised to see her. "Penny?"

Aigis carefully looked over what Ruby called a 'Penny' and from how accurate her eye was, she deducted that Penny was an android like her. Although she couldn't say it, Aigis felt something... familiar about the model. Like it was based on her...

Penny was immediately shocked and surprised that someone remembered her. "Uhh..."

"Where have you been?! We haven't seen you since the night at the docks." Penny was now in a visible plight as she tried to play dumb.

"I-I think you're mistaken. S-Sorry but I have no recollection about the docks."

*HICCUP*

A sudden jump made Penny let go of Ruby's phone and gave it to her. "Uh, I've got to go." Penny then ran away from her friends and went somewhere else.

"What was that about?" Weiss asked, feeling like the situation just got... confusing.

"I dunno..." Ruby looked at where Penny ran. "And I'm gonna find out. You go make your call, I'll meet you up later!"

And with that, Weiss was only left with Aigis. "Who was she, Weiss?"

"That was Penny. Another one like Ruby." Weiss sighed at how all of the responsibilities once again fall to her.

"Is Ruby an android as well?" The girl android in now more confused than ever as she can't process all this new information.

"A what? No." Weiss looked at Aigis like she had grown another head. "Ruby is living, breathing human being. Penny is also the same as me and Ruby."

"But you had said that Penny is the same as Ruby. Would that also make Ruby a machine?"

"Why are you so sure Ruby is like you? She isn't a machine that only knows how to take orders from."

Sighing more this time, Weiss wanted to get it over with. "Let's go Aigis. At least your here."

Nodding along, they walked to the CCT tower. Aigis did not know why Weiss said her existence as an insult. Of course, she knew she was a robot. Of course, she knows how to take orders. Of course, she knows what life like her is destined to be.

She knew it all...

...' Yet why does it hurt so much?' Aigis unconsciously held her ribbon tight at that moment.

Ruby caught up to her friend as soon as she descended some stairs with a worried face. "Penny! Where have you been? It's been weeks!"

Touched by her friends' concern, Penny continued to play dumb. "There seems to be a misunderstanding."

She left again, Ruby wondered why she is like this. "Penny..."

Ruby slid down the rail and confronted her. "Is everything OK?" Penny didn't answer...

Feeling more concerned, Ruby grabbed her arm. "Please, Stop."

Finally stopping, Penny now had her attention to Ruby as she had a worried face. "Look, I don't know what's wrong but you have to listen to me."

Looking around for anyone eavesdropping, she continued. "Those guys we fought at the docks, we think they're up to something big. Something bad!"

Ruby then grabbed both of Penny's hand and held it up to her chest. "I need you to tell me what happened to you that night. Please, as a friend."

Sighing for once, Penny moved closer to Ruby and whispered in her ear. "It isn't safe to talk here."

The interior to the of the tower glowed a bright emerald that gave it a bit of an ambiance inside. The lobby has a few students using the consoles inside for their activities. Aigis looked in wonder in awe of how beautiful it looked which made Weiss grow more prideful in Atlas.

They purposely avoided the main Terminal as it will only draw more questions and headed straight to the elevator. Inside, they went up to the top of the tower to get the best signal.

"Hello. Welcome to the CCT. How may I help you?" An AI voice called out to them on the elevator. It was projected at the panel inside the elevator.

"We'd like to go to the communications room," Weiss answered the AI.

"Absolutely. Could you please place your Scroll on the terminal to verify your identity?" Weiss looked at Aigis with dread, wondering how will she respond without a Scroll.

"Certainly." Aigis walked to the panel and held out her hand. Wiess was confused about what she was doing until she heard the AI again.

" Perfect! Welcome, Ms. Schnee." The heiress was a bit shocked that Aigis somehow had her Scroll identification number.

"How did you...?"

"What do you mean? It asked for our credentials and so I gave it to them. I produced a copy of your Scroll and showed it to them. Even if they were to correct it, we can assume I am your plus one." Aigis smiled at her explanation and pumped her fist.

"But you could have asked for mine..."

A moment of silence for Aigis...

"... I will file that for later."

Sweatdropping, they remained silent for the journey above.

During such time, Weiss was bracing herself for what she is about to do. Asking from her own company to send her sensitive documents that will uncover more secrets she hates to find.

She shifted her face into a series of expressions, from serious to disgrace. Aigis wanted to comment on what she was doing but decided that she has asked more than enough.

When the door finally opened, the duo heads towards the front desk. Aigis wisely walked to the sideline and waited for Weiss to finish up her given task.

Feeling more confused and lonely even, she opted to call one person she knew. Her father.

It was by choice since she doesn't know anyone else to have a conversation like this. Team RWBY is out doing their objectives while she was here, only because she wants to...

"Aigis?" Her father's voice rang in her head. The put-in communication piece made by Prof. Peach glowed inside, indicating someone called this specific number. "Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong, father. Weiss is getting the files needed and Ruby is with a friend."

"A friend? Who?" Aigis looked at Weiss, putting her Scroll in the Terminal.

"I believe her name was Penny. We met her approximately 5.23 minutes ago. Ruby is with here right now." She heard his Father sigh a bit before putting on a face.

"... I see. If that is why you want to call-"

"Wait!" Aigis looked spooked a bit before calming herself. "I... want to talk more."

Y/N was confused at how Aigis is being direct right now since she should be focusing on the task right now, but then again...

...

...Some shuffling noises here and there.

" What did you want to talk about? I'm... not sure what subjects you feel like talking about but I will do my best, regardless." Smiling to herself at how selfless her father is, Aigis continued.

" It is about 'Human Emotions'. Recently, I discovered that humans will often speak in ways that are indirect to what they are actually saying, and yet if revealed, then they will deny any existence of it actually being true." Aigis felt her soul becoming heavier each moment she speaks, her diagnosis saying that she is fine. "And when I find it, some found enjoyment while others was angry. I do not know why they act like that when I told the truth but I can feel their aggression towards me and that make's me confused. Afterward, when she tells me that some people are the same, I assume that she meant they are also similar but in a way, I do not know. And I feel as though that I cannot help but be in peril in my own thought and... and..."

"Aigis?" Father's voice echoed from her distracted state, his concern showing through. "Are you there? Aigis..."

She didn't answer, only lowering her head with hair shadowing her eyes. Aigis can't find the emotion she is looking for, but it somehow made her feel sluggish and slow. Like her body isn't functioning properly and that distressed her greatly. She was made to be perfect, to become the perfect weapon against Grimm, to become the perfect Huntresses many desired to be and to be the perfect daughter. Instead, she was left alone. To rot in the garbage and to be destroyed. To be forgotten in a world of technological marvel. To not become a living girl.

All because she follows orders...

"Aigis... I do not know why you are feeling this way but... I'm sorry." That snapped her out of the trance she was in as Y/N sighed. "I'm... sorry that you are feeling this way and I didn't know about it sooner and ignored you. I should have been there for you but I'm not. And now I feel like I'm failing you in some way and I... " Another sigh, soon a sniffle. " Aigis, Human Emotions... they are something to not trifle with. A single word can end relationships and gifts can end wars but what you are feeling right now... It proves something Aigis."

"It... does?" Aigis lifted her head in what Y/N has to say.

"It means you want to be human." The sudden realization made her gasp slightly. " Wanting to experience sorrow, regret and humility proves that you are growing as a person and I... cannot be happier to know that I am the first to realize it.

Aigis, I just want you to know is that... Is that I want to spend more time with you more than ever. I want to be with you as you experience being alive and never question your existence in the world. I was never pressured to give you life, nor was given something in return. I did it of my own accord and that make's you my responsibility. So don't let what the world tells you what you cannot do, only you can decide whether to give up or keep fighting."

Hearing what he said, what Y/N said, what Father said to her really opened her eyes. Her soul now feels like something has been lifted from the weight she was carrying. Like how her whole friends now depend on her and now, she feels... awesome. Yeah, that's a word, right?

"Thank you, Father. Thank you very, very much. It has been... enlightening." Aigis smiled warmly as she felt her chest warming in heat. Once again, her system tells her that she isn't overloading but relishes the warmth. "I will never forget your words."

"If you want more, we can talk after this mission I promise." Y/N breathed out a breath of relief, thankful for the words he chose were enough to satisfy Aigis. He heard a sudden explosion going off as he looked at his Scroll once more. "Oop, gotta run. I'll talk to you later."

"Wait, Father." Her voice echoed in the room, everyone looking at her. Looking at everyone, Aigis then felt something weird bubbling in her chest, something like an inside voice. Telling her 'Stop doing what you're doing and think about it instead.'

Listening to it, she reverted back into position and looked at her companion. Weiss seemed to grab her Scroll from the terminal as the screen died. Seeing that her friend has finished her task, she walked over to her. "Have you finished, Weiss?"

She seemed to jump in surprise when Aigis announced her arrival and gained her cool soon after. "Huh? Oh, yes. I have the files."

"Great." Aigis smiled brightly at that, making Weiss gasp at how cute she looked right now. "Now all we need to find is Ruby and Penny."

"Of course. Let's go find my partner."

Feeling like a new person, Aigis nodded eagerly and walked along with Weiss. Her heart was now sure of what she must do now, for her and her friends. And most importantly, what she will do for herself.
