Tormund Giantsbane- Woman (h)
It was no secret that you hadn't always been fully accepted in your family, nor had your twin brother, but you had been a little better off.
Of course, Catelyn wasn't best pleased when her husband turned up in Winterfell with two babies that were his bastards.
Over time, the two of you had gotten used to the looks you would get, and it had become normal.
When Jon left for the wall and you went with your sisters to Kings Landing, it was the first time the two of you had ever been in different places.
Of course, you adjusted but you couldn't help but smile when you ended up at the wall where you knew your brother would be.
"Open the gate!" you heard from behind the walls of castle black as you approached.
The gate opened and you pushed your horse to walk; you weren't surprised to see the confused faces on the nightswatch men's faces when you went in.
Dismounting your horse, you stood silent for a few moments before Jon appeared at the steps of the main hall.
The look on his face mirrored your own; relief that the two of you were alive.
He swept you up into a hug and you felt his laboured breaths on your neck.
"What on earth are you doing here?" he questioned once you'd pulled away.
You sighed. "I didn't know where anyone else was; Arya disappeared after Dad, Sansa disappeared after Joffrey and I know Robb is dead but Bran and Rickon are still somewhere."
He shook his head in disbelief. "How did you even get here Y/N?"
Pointing at your horse, you smiled at him. "You know those animals, they're quite useful," you joked with him.
He rolled his eyes before grabbing your hand and taking you inside.
Dinner was soon given out with Jon and some of the other brothers, a man with a white beard and a wildling man who kept smiling at you.
"This is my sister, Y/N Snow," Jon eventually introduced you before he pointed out the names of everyone sat around you.
"You're a bastard too?" Ser Davos spoke up.
Nodding you took a sip of your drink. "The only other bastard in Winterfell."
"Still a lady," Tormund commented with a wink.
"My sisters are the ladies of Winterfell, not that I know where either of them is."
After dinner, Jon showed you to the room that he had prepared for you as he bid you goodnight.
Whilst you were settling in, a knock sounded from your door, so you opened it to reveal Tormund.
He smiled somewhat sheepishly. "I don't want to bother you," he admitted. "But I didn't want to upset you earlier, you know, with the whole thing about you being a lady."
You shook your head. "You didn't upset me Tormund; technically you are right as I am half Stark, but I don't know about the other half of me and I'm still just a bastard."
Once you'd invited Tormund in, he cautiously took a seat on the chair that was in your room. "I don't see you as a bastard."
"It's what I am, everyone knows that a Snow is a bastard and you can't get out of that."
"You're still the woman that you are now," he told you with a small smile. "You could've survived out there with me and none of the idiots I've met here could do that."
You smiled at him. "I appreciate that Tormund, but you have just met me."
"Jon seems proud of you," he commented. "And that's enough for me."
"Well Jon seems to trust you and he doesn't trust many people."
Tormund sighed but had a smile on his face. "He saved my life, and the lives of my people so I owe him really."
"Is that why you're here? To keep me company because Jon asked you to?"
He looked surprised at your question. "I only wanted to apologise Y/N, but I do want to get to know you more."
You smiled at him. "You do seem like an interesting man Tormund."
"And you seem like my kind of woman Y/N."
