Sansa Stark- Comfort (c)

You quietly scurried down the corridor, checking behind your shoulder every few steps as you made your way to your sisters chambers unnoticed. Rarely were your whole family happy at once but the state of them at the moment was worse than you had ever seen. Bran was still unconscious from his accident, you could hear Arya taking her anger out in her room from being publicly accussed of lying and injuring the Prince and last you had seen of Sansa she was unconsolable.

Due to it being after dark, you were expected to stay in your chambers and sleep, being forbode to move around or see your siblings, your parents wishing you all to rest. Tonight, you knew the rule still existed and although you were not one to fight rules placed by your mother or father; you cared far more for supporting your sister rather than obeying their rules.

You slipped into Sansa's chambers, checking one last time to see if anyone had noticed you before closing the door. Sansa was collapsed across her bed; her sobs audible even with her face buried within the sheets.

"Sansa," you whispered, not wishing to scare her but also not wishing for anyone to hear that you were in her room.

She rose her head, a sob getting stuck in her throat as she peered through the dim candlelight that glowed throughout the room.

"What are you doing here?" She retorted.

"I couldn't sleep knowing you were in such distress," you smiled reassuringly, making your way over to join her on her bed.

"I am fine," she stated but the tears that stained her bed said otherwise.

You shook your head at her, resting your hand on her shoulder, pushing her bright red hair from it.

"I am sorry about Lady," you said softly. "It wasn't a just action, but you cannot hold anger on father. The Queen does not understand how innocent Lady had been. She made an order along with the King, Ftaher had no choice. I do understand that it does not matter who is to blame, the pain of her loss is no less."

Sansa allowed you to comfort her, letting herself fall back down, this time into your arms rather than straight onto her bed. You held her tightly and tried your best to comfort her, but you had no idea of the pain she felt. Of course, you loved Lady but Lady was Sansa's dire wolf and they were far more connected than you were to her. All you could do was hold you sister and tell her that everything would be okay, just hoping that tomorrow she and Arya didn't pour more salt into each others' wounds.
