Robb Stark- Blossoming Love: Part 7 (c)
His parents assured you both that things would be okay, and they would handle arrangements for a hasty wedding before keeping you in the best possible care for their first grandchild. They quickly dismissed you both to go rest and get you settled in your new home within the castle walls.
Telling them had gone a lot better than you imagined, and you believed they would support you through this wedding and the birth of your child but that didn't help the nagging feeling of guilt due to it not actually being their blood within you.
Robb led you up to his chambers. You had been there briefly before when hiding from Theon and Jon, but it was somewhere that you would have to get used to. Once you were inside of the room that would now be your home, it felt weird that you would be sharing the bed of your best friend.
You loved Robb dearly and he was the most important person in your life, but you weren't in love with him, how you should love the man that shared your bed. Maybe with time you would learn to but as far as you could feel, he was just your best friend that you were going to marry and raise a child with.
"Make yourself at home," he smiled softly. "I will ask a servant to fetch some of my mother's clothes to borrow. They won't fit perfectly but they will have to do until I can get someone to get you something of your own."
"I cannot thank you enough, Robb. You had done so much for me. I do not know how I will ever be able to repay you for what you have done."
He took your hands within his and gently squeezed them.
"I promised you that I would do anything for you, and I meant it. You do not need to repay me in anything but your happiness. I know this isn't the perfect situation, but I hope you will come to be happy here."
You offered him a gentle smile. "I will be happy with you by my side. I couldn't ask for a better husband than my best friend. It will take some getting used to, but I am grateful that you've sacrificed everything to offer me a good life."
"You are my best friend and I could never see you or your child out on the street. I will be glad to call you my wife rather than a woman that I don't care for, even if we are only friends."
"We'll always be best friends."
You didn't know how hard those words dug into him.
