Robb Stark- Battle Strategies (c)
Although you weren't betrothed to the King in the North, you both knew there was interest between you. It had started by longing eyes across the room up until he invited you to join him on his travels to head towards the war that his men would need to fight. It was a peculiar invitation as you certainly weren't a warrior, nor were you a nurse but as he was your king, he was able to invite whomever he wanted to join his camp.
Everyone was confused by your presence at the camp, other than his mother Catelyn who could see the way that Robb looked at you and instantly knew why he wanted you there.
With every free moment that he had, he wanted to spend his time with you, not caring that there was a war to fight, but wanting it to end soon, so that he had a future with you. It wasn't a certain fate for you both, no matter if you wanted to be together, if there was a war that he had to focus on, it would be hard for a life to form; that wasn't even considering how many people died due to war and the two of you weren't going to be exempt from that.
As regularly happened, Robb sent one of his men to call for you, asking you to visit him whist he worked over his battle strategies. Of course, it would have made far more sense to call for a leader in his army, but you doubted much discussion to do with battle strategies would occur. When you entered his tent, he stopped the work he was doing, making his way over to you. Even if it was clear to you both over your intentions and interests, neither of you wanted to say anything, not wanting to jink the relationship and still holding onto the nerves that the other didn't feel quite the same.
Robb pushed a strand of your hair behind your ear, a welcome smile on his face.
"It has been a long day without seeing your face," he smiled pleasantly.
"Such a charmer, my King," you commented. "I was told you wished to hear my thoughts on your battle strategy, alas, I doubt I can be of much assistance."
Robb shook his head. "A simple ploy to see the sparkle in your eyes."
Your eyes rolled at him as his hand moved to cup your cheek. No more was able to be said as the curtain to the tent was pulled open revealing a frowning Lady Catelyn. Robb took a step back, clearing his throat to act as though nothing had been occurring between the two of you.
"As I expected," she sighed. "You are not prepared for your battle; your men are confused and have no plans."
Robb looked down. "I'm sorry mother."
"Pay attention on the battle, you two. Or your romance might turn into a tragedy," she frowned.
She shot you both a look, letting your lower your heads in shame before leaving the tent, knowing she would return soon to check on you both soon.
