Jaime Lannister- Hidden Love: Part 1 (c)

Although you were from a noble family, it wasn't anything in comparison to that of the Lannister's, whose wealth over did that of everyone else in Westeros. Your family lived near to theirs and your father was dear friends with Tywin Lannister. They had discussed a marriage between you and his eldest son Jaime but as he had promise in the Kings Guard and marriage wasn't allowed there, the discussion fell on deaf ears. If only the discussion had continued, maybe life would have been easier.

You had made an excuse to your mother before heading off into the nearby village, doing everything in your power to make sure no one was to follow you or know where you had gone to. Once in the village you headed to one of the old barns that had stopped being used due to a shortage of money for the farmers. No one would go there and certainly no one would think that you would be there of all places. You made sure to check that no one was there and as hesitant to even be there if there had been any other choice.

Peaking between the doors, you made sure no one was inside but hadn't checked that anyone was outside, so was sent into shock by someone's hands grasping your middle.

You went to scream but one of the hands on your waist moved to cover your mouth, muffling any noise you would attempt to make.

"Hush, there is no reason for fright," the familiar voice said, his breath playing against your neck.

The grasp was released, allowing you to spin around and see Jaime leaning over you. You shot him a glare as you playfully hit his chest.

"That was cruel!" You berated. "No one is meant to know of us, how would we explain a Lady screaming when left alone with you Sir Lannister?"

He smirked down at you. "Well no one but I have heard you scream before."

You tried to stay angry at him, but your reddened cheeks forbade it.

"I do wish we could meet more often than this, I wish we didn't have to sneak around to share a moment together."

Jaime's expression fell, as he leant down to press his lips to your forehead apologetically.

"You know why we must."

You let out a sigh, knowing full well why you had to hide your affection. Jaime's twin sister hated the thought of him knowing another woman and she knew of your relationship, you doubted that she would allow it, or that an accident wouldn't occur that would result in your death. Facing Cersei with your relationship wasn't an option, especially not with Jaime working his way through the Kings Guard, being considered a valued member.

There were many obstacles there to stop your relationship, but your hearts longed for each other and if you had to sneak around to have a moment together, that was what would have to be done.

"That doesn't mean I cannot long for something different," you commented, taking his hand within yours. "All I hope is one day we will not have to hide our love."

"I hope so too."
