Jaime Lannister- First Dance (c)
When you fell for Jaime Lannister, you instantly assumed that nothing could come from it. He was under the thumb of his twin sister and couldn't do anything without her knowing and permitting it, and you knew well enough that she would never permit you to be with her brother. Little did you know that he was also interested in you, leading to a secret relationship, sneaking around Kings Landing to steal a moment with each other, hoping desperately that no one, especially Cersei found out about you.
As you spent more time together, you feared the danger that you were in, and when he asked you to marry him, it only became more apparent. You told him that you wanted to marry him but knew that as long as you stayed in Westeros, you never could have a happily ever after. Jaime had different plans. He had sought voyage to Essos where he had a home ready for the two of you and new identities to allow you freedom. That's all you needed to agree.
You fled to Essos and within a couple of days you were married in a humble service involving the two of you and an officiant. There was no fancy dresses or huge parties, there was just vows and rings exchanged before you were left to head home. You knew it was the right decision as you could never have married in your homeland, but you couldn't help but feel like you missed out.
When you entered your home, you sat down, trying not to show how much it hurt that your dream wedding would never come true, but Jaime knew you too well to ignore the expression on your face.
"What's wrong, my love?" He asked, resting a hand on your shoulder.
You let out a sigh. "I cannot help but be disappointed that we will never have the joyous wedding day I dreamed of. No extravagant cake, or stupid gown, not even a first dance."
He did have the same thoughts. He much preferred being married to you, even if not in the way he would have wanted than having the wedding he had once imagined with anyone else. How could he make that up to you though?
A gentle smile curled onto his lips as he held out a hand to you. "Can I have this dance?"
You cocked an eyebrow at him. "There isn't any music."
He shrugged and gestured for you to take his hand again. You accepted, letting him pull you up onto your feet, holding you close. He swayed with you to the non-existent music, trying his best to give you the first dance you deserved.
"I know this isn't the first dance that you deserved, but I am going to make it up to you to give you the life that you deserve," he smiled.
"I'm just glad to be your wife, even if it wasn't how I thought it would happen," you responded. "I love you."
"I love you too."
