You rushed through the hallways of your Winterfell home, heading off towards the chambers of your husband. The two of you had been betrothed as children and although there wasn't much love between you at first, he was charming and far nicer than you first expected. Love soon blossomed and now you were glad to be his wife. You knew that your sister had been put in the same boat but her husband was cruel and harsh, all she was appreciated for was to bear him children, your husband though appreciated your mind and cared for you as you cared for him.

Finally, you reached his chambers and knocked vigorously on the wooden door until you heard him call for you to enter. As you entered, you found your husband Ned sat at a desk in the corner of the room, a place where he worked when he shouldn't have really been working.

"Y/N," he smiled softly. "What is the urgency?"

You gave him a warm smile as you tried to gain you breath from running to his chambers.

"I did not mean to disturb you," you said. "I just have some joyous news hat I needed to share with you."

Ned rose from his seat, approaching you. "What is it?"

You could barely stand still due to excitement as you bounced on the spot. You never thought you could be so excited, but you were desperate to tell him. Since you had been wed, you shared everything with Ned, but this was certainly something that was needed to be known by your husband.

"I have spoken with Maester Luwin," you smiled softly. "He gave me some amazing news."

"Do tell me it is what I think you are going to say," he grinned back at you.

"I do hope you are correct. Do tell me what you are thinking?"

"Are you with child?"

You nodded your head uncontrollably.

When you were first betrothed to him, you knew you would have to bear him a child but now that you were actually in love with him, it didn't feel like your duty to give him an heir, rather a chance for the two of you to start a family.

Ned wrapped you up his arms, holding your close and pressing a passionate kiss to your lips. You were beyond glad that he was happy about the life growing inside of you, all you needed was his love to help you get through your pregnancy.

"I love you Ned," you smiled warmly.

"I love you too my lady."
