Growing up with two older siblings you'd always thought that that meant you would be protected; you would always have something that was there for you but alas that was not the way of your family.

Viserys was always obsessed with Daenerys, he was aware that Daenerys was his ticket to change things but that also worried you.

You adored your older sister. She had always been there for you; she had held you when you couldn't sleep and had comforted you whenever you needed her.

And so, when you found out that she was going to be marrying Khal Drogo and be required to leave with him, you were scared.

Not once in your life had you gone without your sister and you were not prepared to not be with her. It had also been a blow that your elder brother had arranged it all and had not batted an eyelid at your obvious discomfort at being without your sister.

Despite your feelings Daenerys had reassured you that you would always be with her.

True to her word you had been with her every step of the way from the moment she had left with her khalasar however you had also been with her through the horrors of her years.

Drogo had passed, she had lost her child and had been forced to prove herself numerous times to those that believed she was not suitable for the iron throne.

In the process she had also gained her dragons and you had never seen more beautiful creatures.

For reasons unknown, like Drogon had accepted your sister as his rider, Rhaegal had accepted you as his.

The freedom you felt from being able to escape on the back of your familiar was indescribable.

You had just returned from a ride with Rhaegal when your sister grasped your arm to pull you into her bed chambers.

"Dany!" you exclaimed as you were all but yanked in through the doorway.

When your eyes landed properly on your sister, she seemed dishevelled.

"What is wrong?" you questioned out of concern.

She sighed. "My younger sister should not be concerned as if she is the elder."

You rolled your eyes in response. "Then why pull me in here when you are clearly in distress?"

"I am not in distress," she corrected instantly. "I am simply unnerved."

Again, you rolled your eyes. "Those two mean the same my dear sister."

A glare was shot your way, but you could tell there was no malice in it.

She sighed and wandered out to the balcony adjoining to her chambers.

"It is regarding Ser Jorah," she told you once you had joined her at her side.

Stifling a giggle, you attempted to be serious. "You mean the kind man that is ever so devoted to you?"

"That is precisely what I mean!" she exclaimed as she threw her arms up in frustration. "That man claims to be so devoted to me and yet he has not responded to any form of reciprocation from me."

"So, you mean to say that you wish to return Ser Jorah's affections but each time you intend to do so he does not seem willing to accept?"

Daenerys smiled at your words; she knew you had always been better than her at putting even her own feelings into words.

When your sister did not respond you took a step closer to lay your hand on her shoulder. "Dany, it is clear to all of us here that Ser Jorah holds deep affections towards you," you reassured here and saw a smile come upon her face. "However, it may be that he is concerned, you are after all a Queen, a Khaleesi and he is simply an outlawed knight."

At her fierce glare you raised your hands in surrender.

"I did not mean to offend sister," you quickly placated her. "I simply meant to say that he may be concerned of your standing, if he is to even hope that you return his affections then he is to consider how a man of his standing can stand by your side and not bring you any more grievance than you have already had."

She nodded at your words and stared into the distance. "When did my younger sister become wise beyond her years?"

You laughed, shaking your head. "I am always by your side as an advisor dear sister."

"On land and in the sky?" she had a small smile on her face as she spoke.

Laughing again you nodded in response. "I am by your side in this life and the next, whether it be on dragons or on horseback, by boat or by foot – I will remain by your side."
