You had been in your room when Daenerys' handmaiden had turned up to tell you that the dragon eggs had begun to hatch. It had been an anticipated moment for you both since she got the eggs and you had spent a long time waiting in her room with her, wanting to see them when they hatched, but of course, the one time you were elsewhere they decided to enter the world. You dropped everything that you had been doing, rushing straight to Daenerys' room, wanting to see the cute little dragon babies.

Whilst you were waiting for them to be hatched, you had joked about Daenerys being their mum, but soon she begun to fit the role, looking forward to their hatching and being very protective of them. You could only imagine the joy she would feel to have them come into the world now. As soon as you entered the room, you could see her joy on her face. It was a look you had only ever seen on the face of women after childbirth, when they looked down at their new-born, a look of relief, pride and joy.

On both of her shoulders sat small dragons, stretching out their wings, jumping up a little as they tried to gain control of them. In her hands was a black and red dragon, happily rolling around, rubbing its rough head against her palm.

"I missed it," you sighed. "I'm sorry, I came as soon as I heard."

Daenerys looked up, a warm smile on her face. "It is okay, my love."

"They are beautiful," you commented.

You held out a hand towards one of the ones on her shoulders, letting it brush its head to your hand before it jumped to you, barely making it with its small wings.

"He likes you," she smiled. "One of my handmaidens tried to hold one and he bit her."

You couldn't help but laugh. "They know I hold the heart of their mother."

Daenerys let the other dragon join her hands from her shoulder, fighting its brother for her attention. She moved her hands apart to separate them and seize their fighting.

"Motherhood suits you," you said fondly, enjoying how pleasant her smile was, and the enjoyment that she had in having the baby dragons with her, something she had been looking forward to for such a time.

"It shall suit you too, once you get to know them."
