The kraken's little wolf - Part 2 - Theon x Reader

(Y/n) looked out of the window. Watching over Jon's men. She had no idea how her life had got to this point. No idea why the gods could hate her family, hate her so much. The last thing that she was sure she could remember, was that she was young and happy. She was surrounded by her family. All the people she loved. She had even had...........even had Theon. Yet now, now her mother and older brother had been murdered by cowards. Her father killed as a traitor. She had no knowledge of what had happened to Arya. What would happen to Bran and Rickon. Jon and Sansa the only things she could cling to now.

When Sansa had made it to the Wall with Theon in tow, (Y/n) hadn't been able to believe her eyes. Didn't want to believe her eyes. He wasn't what she remembered. From the little she had seen, before Jon had his men usher her away, (Y/n) could tell that he was no longer that brash, boastful, arrogant and vain young man that she had loved as a child. No longer the little wolf's kraken. Instead, he looked meeker. Not as proud as he had once been. As if life had been drained from his body. But that didn't mean that she didn't hate him any less. That she wouldn't happily run a sword through him for his treachery. For turning against the family that had loved him. For betraying her. (Y/n) swearing that she would never forgive him for all the blood that was on his hands.

Now that she was of age, she had realised how ridiculous she must have appeared in the eyes of others. How her declarations of wanting to marry the Ironborn prince, must have made her parents think that their youngest daughter had lost her mind. But she knew that she had meant every word. That even from being small, she had loved Theon. That despite how he may have been in front of the others. In front of Robb and Jon, when it had just been he and her, he was so different. He had been kind and sweet. Attentive, as he would listen to her go on and on about something that she had seen, that she found highly interesting. How he would sit and watch her play for hours. How he had taught her to ride. To shoot with a bow. To hold a sword, despite her mother's protests. Yet now, now none of that meant anything. Theon meant nothing.

Sansa had already been to speak with her. (Y/n) unable to stop herself from crying, as she had been held in her oldest sister's arms. The little wolf sure that she somehow smelt the same way as their mother always did. (Y/n) sobbing as she realised that never again would she feel the embrace of their mother. Sansa doing her best to calm her, as the two sisters had just stood in the middle of the room. Holding one another tight, for fear of losing each other again.

Once Sansa had quietened her, the oldest she wolf had tried to tell (Y/n) about how Theon had saved her. How he had helped her escape from the clutches of Ramsay Bolton. How he had helped her get to Castle Black. She had told her about what Ramsay had done to Theon. How he had tortured him. How he had..........how he had changed him. How he had made him become a character that Ramsay had called Reek. The older Stark shocked when (Y/n) had declared angrily that she didn't care about what had been done to Theon. That he deserved everything that had happened to him. That Ramsay should have done more. (Y/n) not sure whether she meant it or not. Whether she did care or not. Her heart broken, shattered into a thousand fragments by the young man that had once told her that he would always protect her. Sansa eventually leaving her, but saying that she should perhaps talk to Theon before she made up her mind completely.

"(Y/n)." A soft voice came. The little wolf turning to see Jon enter the room. Jon smiling, as she rushed over and wrapped her arms around him, just as she would when she was a child.

"He has asked to see you." Jon continued. His tone now darker, deeper. Menacing, as he spoke of Theon. (Y/n) well aware of the anger that Jon felt towards the Ironborn. The same anger that was so conflicted in her own mind.

"Why would I want to see him. The only reason that I didn't try and kill him for what he did to Robb, to Rodrik. Jack and Billy, is because he helped Sansa. Theon Greyjoy is dead to me." (Y/n) replied, as her hands gripped tighter to his form. Jon sure that she did mean what she said, yet he also knew that despite everything that the kraken had done, deep down, (Y/n) would always be Theon's little wolf. Whether she liked it or not. The Lord Commander remembering how happy (Y/n) had been whenever she was with him. How everything she had ever done and said, was because of, and for, Theon.

"I will understand if you don't want to see him, (Y/n). But Sansa thought that you should. And you know Sansa will never let you hear the last of it until you do." Jon told her. Doing his best to control his own anger at Theon, (Y/n) moving so that she could look up into his eyes.

"Well, I suppose I can't have that, can I. Maybe I should just see him and tell him that I don't want anything to do with him. That he means nothing to me. Do you think...............?" (Y/n) asked. Jon slowly nodding and placing a soft kiss to her forehead.

"I think." Jon agreed. Giving (Y/n) a soft smile, before turning and making his way out of the room. Leaving the little wolf to wonder what she would say to her kraken.

                                                         >>---------------------------------<<

Theon straightened his clothes, as he looked at the door. His hand had hesitated more than once as he had gone to knock on it, knowing that behind the ingress waited his little wolf. He hadn't been able to believe his eyes when he had seen her, as he and Sansa had got to Castle Black. He hadn't believed that the little girl that he had felt such a bond with, such a love for, was now a breathtaking woman. Theon unable to look at her once he had seen the anger and hatred in her eyes. Not that he could blame her for that. He had done too much to expect forgiveness. Hurt too many people, to even try and ask for it. And most of all, he knew how much he had hurt her.

Jon had already taken it upon himself to threaten him. Assuring Theon that despite the fact that he had helped Sansa get back to them, if he hurt (Y/n) any more than he already had, he would have no qualms in running him through. Theon nodding in agreement. The kraken doing his best to reassure Jon, that hurting (Y/n) was the last thing that he wanted to do. Theon taking a deep breath, before he finally reached up his hand and knocked. The Ironborn prince slowly pushing on the door, as he heard a quiet "enter", called out. The kraken forgetting how to breath for a moment, as he looked upon the face of the she wolf.

"Theon." (Y/n) greeted softly, as he made his way into the room, and closed the door behind him.

"Hello, my little wolf..............."

"Don't call me that. I am not your little wolf. I am not your anything, Theon Greyjoy. If it wasn't for Sansa, I wouldn't even be speaking to you now." (Y/n) interrupted adamantly, as she stormed over to him. Theon feeling the sting, as (Y/n) slapped him across the cheek.

"I.........I........I hate you Theon. I will always hate you. You are a traitor. A murderer. And I will never forgive you." (Y/n) continued through the tears that now refused to stop falling. The little wolf fighting as hard as she could, to stop herself from throwing her arms around him. From telling him how much she had missed him.

"No, you are right. I don't deserve to call you that. I don't deserve you." Theon agreed. Wishing that he could brush the tears from her cheeks. Wishing he could take her into his arms. The kraken happy to apologise for the rest of his day if she would only be willing to sit and speak with him for a while.

"Just go Theon. Just leave me alone. I don't want to see you ever again." (Y/n) told him, as she moved over to the window. The lady knowing that if she were to look at him any long, she might just kiss him.

"I'll leave, but I have something to give you. I promised myself that one day I would give it back to you. So, I'll just leave it on the table." Theon said, as he reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small object. Placing it on the table, before making for the door.

"I'm sorry my litt........(Y/n).............."

"(Y/n) turned, as she heard the door close. Her eyes falling on the object on the table. The wolf making her way over to get a better look. Unaware of what Theon could want to give her. Her hand covering her mouth, as she saw the ring. The ring that she had given him when she was small. The ring that she had wanted him to give her back when they married. The shocked lady hesitantly reaching for it. The metal band looking up at her, as it sat in her palm. Reminding her of all that the prince had meant to her.

Suddenly the door the room was thrown open. (Y/n) holding up her skirts, as she ran through the corridors, calling out for Theon as she went. The kraken stopping and turning as he heard her shouts. His breath almost taken from his body, as she threw herself into his arms. Theon unable to stop himself from crying, as her arms wrapped around him.

"Theon. I..........I.........."

"I know, (Y/n). I won't and I can't ask you to forgive me. And I'm not the man that I used to be. I can't...........can't........But if you will let me, I swear that I will never again leave you. That I will always be with you. That I will always protect you. And I will spend the rest of my days doing all I can to show you that you can love me, as much as I love you." Theon told her, as the two stood holding one another.

"I can't forgive you, for what you did. Not yet. Maybe never. But I know that I don't want to be without you again. I don't care about what's happened to you. I know what it means. But I've missed you. And despite everything that has happened, I could never stop myself from loving you, Theon. So, perhaps, we could go back to my room and talk for a little while. Perhaps we can figure out what we should do next." (Y/n) told him. Theon finally able to brush away the tears from her cheek, as they looked at one another.

"I'd like that........little wolf." Theon replied. The kraken offering (Y/n) his arm, before they made their way back through the corridors. The Ironborn feeling alive for the first time in a long time. Feeling that there might just be something worth fighting for. And that that something, was his little wolf.
