Lost girl - Part 1 - Sandor x Reader

I know I already have so many imagines to finish. But if I get an idea, I just have to write it. So, I hope that you will forgive me for starting something new. And that you enjoy this.

Sandor quietly watched the figure dig through the rubbish at the back of some small bakeries on the Street of Flour. It wasn't the first time that the big man had watched the creature try and find some food. And each time he had witnessed their desperate attempts to survive, he had felt a strange need to somehow help.

Life in Kings Landing was hard for many people. But at least many enjoyed a roof over their heads at night. This being on the other hand, had nothing more than boxes and a thin blanket set up in one of the many rat infested back alleys that the city had to offer. It was true that the Hound had seen others living like this. But this particular person had caught his eye. And even though he wasn't known for having a soft heart. He found that for some reason he wanted to do something.

Even though he had been watching the person for a while, Sandor had never actually seen their face. He had noticed that they always wore a large hood that hid their features, and many layers of clothing that made it impossible for him to know whether the figure was male or female. Yet it didn't seem to matter. Sandor believing that maybe he was growing soft in his old age.

Taking a deep breath, Sandor stepped out from the shadows where he had been observing. Coughing as softly as he could, hoping not to scare the person away.

"Look, I don't want any trouble, I'm just hungry. I'm leaving, alright?" A beautiful female voice said hesitantly, as she backed up against the large pile of refuse.

"I'm sorry........ I didn't mean ta scare ya. I just didn't want ya looking for something ta eat in there." Sandor said, his eyes growing wide as the figure removed its hood to reveal features of a woman beneath.

She looked different to what he had expected. And despite the dirt and smudges on her skin, to the Hound's eyes, she was completely exquisite. Her pale grey eyes looking nervously into his.

"I'll just go somewhere else. Got to eat somehow." She replied. Trying to get away, only to find Sandor's hand gently grab her wrist as she moved passed him.

"I....... I didn't mean that." Sandor told her, as he let go of her wrist.

"I mean, let me take ya somewhere and buy ya something real ta eat." Sandor explained, now hoping more than ever that she would accept his invitation.

"Why..... why would ya want to do that?" She asked, looking up at the big man. She had lived on the streets long enough to know who to avoid. Long enough to have been told this before and find that there was an ulterior motive behind it. And she had live in Kings Landing long enough to know who was who. So found herself wondering, why the feared Hound would be making such an offer. But as she looked at the man, there was something about his scarred features that made her want to smile. Which was something that she hadn't done in a very long time.

"Cos, well...... I seen ya dig around in there before. And I just wanted ya ta have something warm ta eat instead of something cold and outta that shit." Sandor continued, as he offered her is hand.

"My name is Sandor. Sandor Clegane." Sandor announced, trying not to smile as she took his hand.

"I may be down on my luck, but I'm not stupid. Ain't a soul in the Seven Kingdoms that doesn't know who you are. You're slightly distinctive afterall. And my name is (Y/n) Waters. It's a pleasure to meet the great Ser Clegane." (Y/n) replied, as Sandor gestured for her to follow him. Walking her through the streets to the Street of Silk, before opening the door to one of the many brothels.

"I ain't goin in there. I've spent all my time doing everything I can to avoid lying on my back for that dark hearted snake, Littlefingers." (Y/n) said, as she began to back away.

"Don't be daft, girl. They do good food, and its warm. And no one will dare touch ya with me around. Now get ya arse inside." Sandor huffed, his mood lifting slightly as (Y/n) began to chuckle.

"Well, if you put it so nicely. How can I refuse." (Y/n) giggled as she walked past Sandor and into the brothel. Doing her best to ignore the stares of the whores, as Sandor led her to one of the empty tables out of the way.

"Order anything ya like, I'm payin." Sandor told (Y/n), watching as she pulled off the hat that covered her head. The big man almost gasping as curls of perfect white hair fell over her shoulders and down her back.

"Strange lookin aint I?" (Y/n) laughed, as she saw the slightly shocked look on Sandor's face.

"I've always stood out. My mother told me I was born with black hair. But one night it just turned white, and it's been like this ever since. She also said that I should keep it covered, just in case. In case of what, I don't know. But's that's why I wear the hat and hood. I always thought that it made me look like an old witch." (Y/n) chuckled, as Sandor shook his head.

"It makes ya unique. I...... I think its beautiful." Sandor replied. The Hound having a strange feeling that he had found something that no one else knew existed. And were probably better off not knowing existed. Especially not in Kings Landing anyway.

"Ya that beautiful I think ya should put ya hat back on. Don't want any of tha bastards in ere getting any ideas." Sandor continued. (Y/n) nodding and placing the hat back on her head.

"Well, Ser Clegane, you really know how to impress a girl. Hot food and compliments. It's been a long time since I've had either of those." (Y/n) said with a sad smile, as Sandor began to wonder if he should tell anyone about his find.

                                                      >>-------------------------------<<

"Aren't you eating too? I mean I don't want to be the only one making a pig of myself around here." (Y/n) asked, as a huge plate of food was placed in front of her.

"Nah. I'll stick ta ale." Sandor replied, as he took a big gulp from the tankard. Trying not to smile as the food in front of (Y/n) began to disappear.

"You do know that stuff ain't good for you. Don't you?" (Y/n) said between mouthfuls, as she looked up at the big man.

"Me, I prefer food. I may not have much in life, but if there's one thing I do have, it's a good appetite. Wish I didn't though, it would make things easier if I wasn't hungry all the time." (Y/n) confessed, trying to be ladylike and not gobble down the entire plate of food in one bite.

"Can I ask ya something?" Sandor asked hesitantly. Watching as (Y/n) nodded and wiped her mouth on her sleeve.

"How did you end up living on the streets? " Sandor continued, as he reached up and wiped some dirt from her cheek.

"Well, I suppose that I just happen, to be honest. I never knew my father. Hence the name Waters. But my mother always said that he was killed just after I was born. And that it was probably a good thing for everyone that he had. My mother died when I was still young. I have no relatives. And I didn't want to leave Kings Landing. And as I didn't want to end up working for Baelish, I just found myself out there." (Y/n) replied. Sandor unable to believe the nonchalant way that she described her life. Saddened by the way that she just seemed to accept her situation. And even more saddened that it didn't appear that she thought there could be something else. Especially since he had a feeling that he knew exactly what, and who she really was. Even if she didn't seem to.

"Look. Why don't ya come back ta tha Red Keep with me? Ya can stay in my rooms. Wash yaself, get some clean clothes, a descent night's sleep if you want. And........." Sandor began. (Y/n) standing up abruptly and throwing her fork onto the table before he could say any more.

"I should have known. No one in the fuckin city does something for nothing. God's, I am a fool. You'd think I'd know better by now. Yet here I was falling into the trap of thinking that the Hound could actually be nice. So, you think that you can buy me a plate of food and you'll get me to lift my skirts for you? Well for your information I'm not a whore, and I don't do shit like that. If you want that, then there are plenty of girls in here that will do anything for the right amount of money. Even with you." (Y/n) spat out. Pain and venom evident in every word.

"Sit tha fuck down and stop drawin attention ta yaself." Sandor growled, as he grabbed (Y/n)'s wrist and pulled her back into her chair.

"I didn't mean anythin like that. I........I want ta help ya, that's all. Ya can work fa me. Run around doin things that I need doin. Be my servant. In exchange ya get a bed and ya belly filled." Sandor explained. Knowing that the best place for this lost girl was probably under his watchful eye. Even if living in the Red Keep meant that she would be under the king's nose.

"Servant? Like washing your clothes and getting food for you. Things like that?" (Y/n) asked as she tentatively picked her fork back up.

"Aye. Things like that." Sandor confirmed, as (Y/n) pushed another fork of food into her mouth.

"Deal!" (Y/n) exclaimed as she thrust out her hand for Sandor to shake.

"Good. Now, eat ya food, and we'll get ya out of ere." Sandor replied. As his eyes turned to the others in the brothel. The Hound hoping that the rest of the patrons were too preoccupied with their own business to have noticed his lost girl.
