The Elemental - Part 2 - Jorah x Reader

Jorah and Sandor had been travelling for days, making their way from one village to another to enquire about the possible whereabouts of the powerful elemental; but each time the pair asked about the young woman, the two men would be chased away by angry villagers, who all seemed to know, and want to protect the beautiful creature.

"I think that we should go back and tell Jon that we couldn't find this lass, seems like she's more trouble than she's worth." Sandor complained, as yet again he and Jorah camped out in the cool night.

"No. She's here, I'm sure of it. Having someone such as her on our side could prove vital if we are to beat the Walkers; we have to continue looking until we find her." Jorah replied, as he looked out into the forest and lake that lay next to their campsite, the sun slowly setting and lighting up the sky in a warming red hue. For some reason Jorah could feel that the elemental was out there somewhere, watching the two of them as they struggled to find her, always appearing to be one step ahead.

                                                       >>-----------------------------------<<

Jorah looked through the dying flames of the fire, his eyes falling on the snoring Sandor, the big man huddled up with his hands gripping tightly on to his sword, seemingly ready to spring to action at the slightest sound. Jorah shook his head and chuckled, he had no need to fear that wild animals would come anywhere near the camp, Sandor's snores sounded like two angry lions fighting and the noise was sure to scare anything, living or dead, away.

Quietly Jorah took a brand from the fire and made his way down to the lake, his watch lasted at least another few hours, and despite the volume of Sandor snore, it seemed to be having the strange affect of lulling Jorah into a longed for sleep.

As he arrived at the lake, he reached down and splashed the freezing water into his face, the shock of the frigid liquid bringing him back to his senses.

Looking down into the black water of the great lake, he caught his reflection in the gently lapping mirror, the flaming brand that he held above his head casting his likeness on its icy depths.

"Where are you?" He said softly, hoping somehow that the elemental could hear him.

Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath and sighed. "If only you knew how much I want to find you, and not just for Jon." Jorah whispered, his gentle voice carrying through the ether, to a woman that had been watching him and the large scared man for days.

As Jorah slowly opened his eye he fell backwards, unable to believe what he was seeing. There on the surface of the lake fought two great bears, one made of water, and the other of fire, the two huge animals battling for supremacy, each and every clash of their great paws, sending plumes of steam into the cool night air.

Jorah looked around frantically, he knew that only one creature could be responsible for the scene that was playing out in front of him.

"Breathtaking isn't it, what the elements can become, what they can be made to do." A beautiful voice that suddenly seemed to appear from the thin air asked from behind Jorah.

Jorah spun around, his hand instinctively falling on the hilt of his sword, his eyes widening as they fell on the face of the exquisite elemental, her staff raised, ready to hit the ground if the steely blade should be pulled from its scabbard.

"Did you learn nothing from our last encounter, I had been informed that you were a man of intelligence Ser Jorah Mormont, but if you insist on drawing your sword, I will know that the great bear is nothing more than a fool." (Y/n) declared, as slowly Jorah withdrew his hand, watching with concern as the fire and water ursine no longer fought one another on the lake, but instead lumbered around him.

Slowly (Y/n) dropped her staff gently to the floor, and walked over to Jorah, the two standing face to face as (Y/n) looked him up and down, the two huge bears coming to rest by her sides.

"You are handsome. I must admit that I have never met another man that I find quite so appealing." (Y/n) confessed to a shocked Jorah, his eyes closing as he felt the warmth of her hand brushing over his cold wet cheek.

"I have been watching you and the large scared man for days, I must apologise for the villagers; you see I watch over them and have done for a very long time, I protect them, and in turn they protect me." (Y/n) told Jorah, drawing close enough to him that their bodies were touching.

"What are you?" Jorah asked, opening his eyes and staring into (Y/n)'s glowing blue orbs, his frozen hand softly brushing over the skin of her face.

"I am the daughter of the four houses, the holder of the elements; the mistress of the winds, the lady of fire, the mother of the earth, and the spirit of water; I am known as all, and control all, Jorah Mormont. So, tell me, why do you and your large friend seek me?" (Y/n) asked, her lips ghosting across Jorah's.

Before Jorah could answer, the sound of a bellowing Sandor broke not only the silence of the night, but also broke(Y/n) and Jorah apart, Sandor rushing towards them with his large sword raised above his head.

With one swift movement, (Y/n) crashed her staff into the ground, a gust of wind ripping across the lake strong enough to knock Sandor backwards, his body crashing to the floor.

"Your friend is fool; you should control him better." (Y/n) yelled out, her hands whipping the air into a great storm that blew Sandor further and further away.

"Wait (Y/n), please!" Jorah screamed out as (Y/n) and her ursine seemed to disappear into the very atmosphere itself.

"Have you lost your mind? I was about to tell her that we needed her, I about to explain why we were here." Jorah growled at Sandor, stalking over to where the big man was finally being able to set himself back on his feet.

"She was about ta attack ya." Sandor grumbled, as he brushed himself off, picking bits of broken twigs and leaves out of his hair.

"Attacking me? I don't know what your experience is with women, but if you think that she was about to attack me, then we need a serious talk about the ladies you have dealings with." Jorah admonished, feeling slightly uncomfortable when Sandor looked at him, a slight smirk on his lips.

"Ya mean, you and er? Now I see why ya didn't want ta leave and tell Jon that we couldn't find er." Sandor chuckled to himself as he picked up his sword and made his way back to the camp with an irritated Jorah in tow.

"I stayed to find her because she could be of help, and because of your foolish actions we may very well have to go back to Jon and tell him that we couldn't find her." Jorah huffed, as he sat back down on his bed roll, his mind still filled with the image of her beautiful eyes and the way her body felt against his.

"Nah, she'll be back; if she's taken a likin to ya then we'll see er again soon." Sandor yawned, as he turned over on his bed roll, closing his eyes and dropping back off to sleep.

                                                     >>--------------------------------<<

"I've ad enough, I need a drink." Sandor declared gruffly as he and Jorah rode into yet another village.

"And this time, don't mention ya woman, I don't want ta be chased out before I can get drunk." Sandor told Jorah, as he dismounted Stranger and led him towards the nearest tavern.

Jorah sat, staring into his goblet, the image of (Y/n)'s face seeming to stare back at him from the deep red liquid.

"Don't worry, she'll be back." Sandor slurred, slapping Jorah on the back as he downed yet another ale.

Jorah sighed, slowly rising from his seat. "I'm going to the room; we leave early in the morning." He told the intoxicated large man that had already reached for a new drink.

"I thought that you would never get here." A melodious voice said, as Jorah made his way into the small room that he and Sandor had been able to obtain in the tavern.

"(Y/n) you came back." Jorah uttered happily, as he flew to (Y/n) taking her in his arms and kissing her.

"I know that no matter why you have come to find me, it is an honourable reason, and I will go with you wherever it is you wish to take me. Just promise me that you will stay by my side?" (Y/n) told him, as Jorah brushed his fingers softly across her cheek.

"You have my word that I will never leave your side ever." Jorah avowed, as he lay (Y/n) gently down on his bed.

                                                              >>---------------------------------<<

Sandor groaned as he mounted Stranger, his head pounding from the copious amounts of ale he had drunk the night before; he had never made it to the room, instead passing out on the alcohol soaked table in front of him as he fell into an alcoholic stupor; now he waited for his companion to arrive so that they could make one last attempt at finding Jorah's elemental.

Sandor smirked when he saw Jorah with (Y/n) held firmly by his side, the two making their way over to where Sandor was waiting.

"Looks like we can go back and tell Jon we found er then?" Sandor said smugly, as Jorah helped (Y/n) up on to his horse, before taking a seat behind her and holding her close.

"It would appear so." Jorah replied, kissing (Y/n) on the cheek, as the three of them set off back to the Wall.

Not only would they have a powerful allies in their war against the walkers, but Jon would have the witch he wanted, and Jorah would finally have the love he needed, the beautiful elemental not only the holder of the element, but also the holder of his heart.
