A lion by any other name is still as fierce - Tywin x Reader
So, this is a start of an imagine that will lead to a request for ImagineWriter_777. This part is Tywin Lannister based; the next will be with Robb x Reader.
Tywin walked into his rooms, the young woman that was staring out of the window not even bothering to turn as he closed the door behind him.
Tywin wasn't surprised by her actions. His men had had to drag her all the way from Lannisport, the bannermen having to bind her when she had taken out three of them just with her bare hands. He knew that she wasn't happy to be there; but Tywin didn't care. This time though he just hoped that he had found the right girl.
He knew that his bastard daughter was somewhere around Casterly Rock, and this young woman was the latest in a long line of females that had been brought before the lord, each of the previous ones proving that they were definitely not a lioness as soon as they had seen the head of House Lannister; but this one, this one was different.
Tywin couldn't explain why he had all of a sudden felt the need to find the girl, but he had reasoned that he was getting older, and as he was not likely to sire another legitimate heir, he was hoping that this daughter would provide him with a kind of pride that his other children had failed to give him.
"Why am I here?" The young woman growled, as she finally turned to look at the lord.
"You are here because I wish to speak with you." Tywin replied, as he poured himself a glass of wine.
"And why is it that the great Tywin Lannister would wish to speak to someone like me?" She asked, crossing her arms defiantly, as she glared at the older man. Tywin chuckling to himself as it was becoming more and more obvious that the woman in front of him was the one that he had been looking for.
"What is your name, child?" Tywin asked, as he took a seat at the head of his table, taking a sip of his wine as he looked the young woman up and down.
It was true that she looked nothing like his other children. Although he could not argue that the woman was even more beautiful than Cersei, she did not have the golden hair, or green eyes that many other Lannister's had, instead boasting a head of jet black hair that was highlighted by a long white streak on either side of her head. Her eyes were the palest blue that Tywin had ever seen, and although he would never admit it, her stare was chilling him to the bone.
"My name is (Y/n) Hill." She stated, as she continued to stare at Tywin.
"Do you know who your father is?" Tywin asked, furrowing his eyebrows as the young woman began to laugh.
"Why are you asking me all these idiotic questions? If you didn't have an idea of what my name was, and who my father is, then I wouldn't be here. I am the bastard daughter of Tywin Lannister. Is that what you wanted to hear? Now, I ask again. Why am I here?" (Y/n) hissed, as she leaned on the table, looking disdainfully at Tywin, showing no sign of respect or care for whom she was talking to.
"What would you say if I told you that I wanted to get to know you better?" Tywin asked, his blood starting to boil as his daughter almost laughed in his face.
"Oh please. You don't care about me, and you never did. I am an embarrassment to you, one that if nearly as bad as your youngest son. If you had cared, I would not have had to raise myself when my mother passed away, doing whatever I could to stop myself from either dying of hunger, or suffering the shame of ending up in one of the brothels in this cesspit. So, don't try and tell me now that you want a father, daughter reconciliation. That you want me to rush into your arms and tell you how much I love you, that I want us to be family, because that isn't going to happen. Now, I want your idiot men to take me back to Lannisport, I have a job to do there." (Y/n) snarled, as Tywin rose to his feet, finally losing his temper.
"You will show me respect. You may not bare my name, but you are my child, and you will show me the respect I deserve, not only as your father, but also as your lord." Tywin snapped, the father and daughter glaring at one another from across the table.
"Respect? Ha! Just because you impregnated my mother, it doesn't mean that you are my father, and I don't care if you are a lord. I show no man respect that has not earned it. And you have not earned it. NOW LET ME GO HOME!" (Y/n) exclaimed, her own blood beginning to boil as Tywin began to chuckle.
"I will give you one thing, you are as fierce as any Lannister, and you have more guts than most of them. No one else would dare talk to me in such a way. You are definitely my daughter." Tywin said, sitting back in his chair, before pushing another one out so that (Y/n) could sit down.
"You spoke of a job in Lannisport. Do you work in one of the mines?" Tywin asked, still trying to calm his anger as (Y/n) refused to sit.
"In one of your mines? Do you actually think that I would work in the dark in the pits under Casterly Rock, just so that you and your over privileged offspring can get richer off the backs of the poor smallfolk? Do you think that I desire to die before my time just so that you can buy some more fine clothes that you don't need, or more expensive wine, that you'll just piss away? I would rather die than make you richer. If you must know, I am a hunter." (Y/n) said, Tywin for once finding himself intrigued by someone.
"What animals do you hunt?" Tywin questioned, watching as (Y/n) took a glass and poured herself a glass of his very expensive wine.
"I don't hunt animals. There is no money in that kind of hunting. I hunt men for a living, and it's a very good living, and I'm very good at it. You see, I learnt a lot on the streets and in the port, from all kinds of people, and I found that I had a talent for disposing of other people's enemies. It's just a shame that no one ever paid me to come after you." (Y/n) said matter of factly, as she downed the contents of her glass and banged the empty vessel onto the table.
"Do you actually think you are that good, child? With just a word I could have........"
"What? You could have me killed? Oh, believe me, father, many men have tried, and they have all failed abysmally. And I don't think that I am that good, I know that I am that good. Without your army with you, you are little more than an old man hiding behind his reputation. I am not afraid of you, nor of your power or money." (Y/n) interrupted, as she grew more and more irritated of the old man's antics.
When the Lannister men had come to find her, she had done all she could to evade them, all she could to hide. Not many knew of her lineage, and given the fact that she didn't resemble a Lannister, she had been able to keep the fact that the head of House Lannister was her father a secret; but gold can loosen anyone's tongue, and the right amount can persuade even people she thought were friends to tell what they knew. But she had made sure that she did not come quietly.
Tywin glared at his defiant progeny. Normally he would have someone that showed him so little respect, taken out of his sight, and killed. Normally he would not stand for it. But the woman in front of him was more like him than he cared to admit. She was strong minded, tough as nails, and had a cold manipulative side that he couldn't help but find himself admiring, and unlike his other children, it was more than obvious that she wasn't scared of him.
"You will stay in Kings Landing. That is an order. And if you try to defy me, I will have my men hunt you down and bring you back. Whatever your latest....... employer was paying you; I will double it. If you "hunt" for people that can afford to pay you, then you will now work for me and only me. I want you where I can keep an eye on you. If I know that you are my daughter, you can be sure that my enemies will soon know too, and no matter how good you may be, you will find that there is always someone better just around the corner." Tywin told (Y/n), as he stood up and opened the door, beckoning for some of his men to enter.
"Why would you want to keep an eye on me? I know that its not for my sake." (Y/n) asked, watching as Tywin seemed to give some kind of order to the two bannermen.
"You are right, it is not for your sake, it is for mine. I do not want to give anyone leverage over me, and even though you are my bastard, you are still my child, and a Lannister by any other name. So, you will stay. Now, my men will take you to a room, and you will stay there until I send for you." Tywin said, the bannermen taking hold of (Y/n)'s arms and pulling her from her room.
>>------------------------------<<
(Y/n) looked out of the window, taking in the sights of the city below. She had already decided that she didn't like Kings Landing. She wanted to return to the Westerlands, return to Lannisport, and smell the salt breeze as it drifted over the Sunset Sea. She didn't trust Tywin Lannister for one moment, and she could only imagine that his other children would not be delighted to know that she even existed, never mind that she was under the same roof as them.
"Ah, so the rumours are true." A quiet voice said from behind her, causing (Y/n) to spin on her heels, her eyes widening as she saw the little man that she had only ever heard of, enter the room.
"I'm not the only bastard in this family, and you are as beautiful as the guards said you were." Tyrion chuckled, as he moved further into the room.
"How did you get in; the door was locked." (Y/n) asked, as she looked the littlest lion up and down.
"Oh, dear sister. I may be the imp, and despised by our father, but my gold speaks just as loud as anyone else's in Kings Landing." Tyrion chuckled, as he took as seat on (Y/n)'s bed.
"Now, I will introduce myself. I am Tyrion Lannister." Tyrion said, bowing his head respectfully as he waited for (Y/n) to reply.
"(Y/n) Hill. And I know who you are." (Y/n) replied, bowing slightly as Tyrion smiled at her.
"An unfortunate last name, but I am sure that you prefer that to being called Lannister. So, why don't you come and tell me all about yourself? If we are to be friends, then we should get to know one another better." Tyrion said, patting the space on the bed next to him. The little lion smiling as (Y/n) took a seat.
"I thought that you would hate me." (Y/n) said, furrowing her brows as Tyrion took her hand.
"I know what its like to be hated by this family, to be hated by our father. You did not ask to be sired by him, but as you were, and as father sees me as little more than a bastard myself, what do you say that you and I be a thorn in our father's side together?" Tyrion asked, smiling as his new sister grinned back at him.
"Good. Now, tell me everything I need to know about the newest member of the family." Tyrion chuckled, making himself comfortable as (Y/n) began.
